We have had lunch here before and they have a great selection of wraps, sandwiches and salads. This time I stopped for a gelato. They had a large variety of them and after trying a few, I decided for the raspberry sorbet. $10 for a turkey sandwich sounded pretty reasonable for ptown. So I asked to add bacon...and the tab turned into $15. Which seemed obscene even for ptown prices...but, in the wider scheme of things, an offense I can ignore at the end of a mellow few days. I was happy to finally try Box Lunch during my last trip to P-Town. It's slightly off the beaten path and with all of the other food options in town, sometimes it can be missed. But the sandwiches and soups here are definitely worth checking out. It's a seasonal business, so you'll need to catch them while they're open. When I was there, staffing was an issue so the wait for food was EXTREMELY long...but that's not taking any points away. The young man that was running the entire business by himself was busting his butt and doing an extraordinarily good job considering the circumstances. Went for a late breakfast today and enjoyed their very delicious French Toast with fresh berries (super sweet blueberries and strawberries). I also ordered a side of bacon and my dining companion had a bagel with cream cheese, which was huge and fresh and came with tons of cream cheese! We had iced tea and a decaf cappuccino, both hit the spot. The service was terrific even though they were quite busy. The restaurant offers outdoor seating, but we opted for indoors and enjoyed the sunshine streaming in through the big windows. P.S. We were looking for a place to eat, and many places were getting booked up. My son and his girlfriend suggested this spot. Upon arrival, you need to order your sandwich and drink at the counter. I chose a chicken sandwich and a glass of wine. When I sat down to enjoy my meal, I found the wine to be above room temperature and not very pleasant; it seemed off and probably shouldn't have been served. First stop in Ptown was at Box Lunch! It's conveniently located on the Main Street right off MacMillan Pier. We got in for a late lunch and were promptly served. The servers and staff were all very friendly and social which was really nice. I got the chicken Caesar wrap with Cape Cod chips (of course). The wrap was much larger than I expected but pretty good. It was heavier on the lettuce and less so chicken but still overall very tasty. Perfect way to start a beach day! read more

I came here last year and remember the wait just to order long and frustrating. The woman (owner?) behind the counter was short and abrasive. I also remember the sandwich wasn't anything amazing. Not horrible, just kind of meh. I came back this year hoping for some improvement. Sadly, it was much of the same as last year. Despite having one couple in front of me, the whole process to order a sandwich was unusually long. The same woman as last year kept running back and forth and not focusing on the customers in front of her. It all felt very inefficient and slightly chaotic. The my would greatly benefit from having a person who just takes the orders and another person running the food to customers. There are several other shops in this area too , a cupcake shop and a French pastry shop ! The breakfast sandwich was pretty good on a sweet English muffin. However they gave me a "side of fruit" which consisted of the smallest slice of watermelon you've ever seen and 4 blueberries. My friend ordered the big breakfast. Potatoes were very salty and soggy but overall pretty good. The mimosas and iced lattes were pretty bomb. We had a great breakfast here. My husband, parents and I were waking around town and just happened to stop here. I did not have high hopes. It is a small unassuming place with a few tables outside. You can grab something quick inside or sit down to be served. My mom and I both got the avocado toast with an egg. They modified the order for us so that we could have poached eggs instead of fried with the toast. It was the perfect portion and super fresh. My husband had a nice light breakfast wrap with fresh lavash bread. My dad had the western omelette which was a larger plate with potatoes and bacon. Ordered 5 sandwiches and 2 soups for the famjam, and checked out the local shops while we waited (aka I paid for an overpriced pink mini cupcake next door). So its just a wrap, but with a softer bread, if that makes sense. Nothing that special BUT the sandwiches were really good. Simple and delicious. Had a delicious lobster roll from here while visiting in Ptown! I was suspicious when I heard the hot lobster roll had Swiss and avocado, and was wrapped in a pita but omg - yum! The flavors worked so perfectly and the lobster was cooked great. I also had a stuffed quahog, which was delicious. It had great flavor and just a bit of a kick to it. There is no indoor seating and not really any tables, but you can sit outside on the bench or, as we did, take your food to go and eat back at your place. She helped us with a group order for 9 people and explained the process for the Dune Tour we were planning to take later in the day. We got the Lobster Rolls, chowder, pasta salad, and brownie to go. We weren't able to eat until about an hour later and the food was still delicious and tasted fresh. Love their lobster salad, on a brioche or in a specialty "rollwich". This has been my go-to since I found them a couple of years ago. If you don't like lobster, there are many other sandwiches that will suit almost any palate. They've moved from the only-seats-outside little shop to a larger space just down the street, and you can eat inside or out. Some of the staff are new, so things may be a little slower... but it's well worth the wait. AND they have gelato! What a way to top off a wonderful lunch... if you have room for it! Oh!
