This place is all torn up…read more This pilot gas station is connected to a Wendy's. They're doing major construction and while they are open, I don't recommend stopping there. Typically I do stop at Pilot stations. We stopped for the Wendy's. Food was fine. Bathrooms are out in a trailer. In the men's room, one stall contained a very full toilet. The other had a broken door handle and was un-openable. The seat on my chair at Wendy's wasn't attached to the rest of the chair. The other thing I noticed was what appears to be a solar powered set of security cameras in the parking lot. That made me wonder if the area has a crime problem or if they're just worried about crime during the construction. Attempted to buy gas. There's a note on the pump to press skip if you see an unexpected prompt. I hit skip twice before getting a message to "see cashier". Rather than going back in, I just drove elsewhere - where the pump worked fine using the same card. I drive up and down I-55 multiple times a year, and I think this place has been under construction for awhile. That will be my last stop until they get their $hit together.

If the shop is busy, because they provide custom, high quality service, it is worth it! Money is less important than operating safe equipment, and we all know that, deep in our guts. Dude, this shop is crazy outstanding. I adore shops that don't treat me like a little girl. (Yeah I know. I am little, and a girl, but still! ) The dude who worked on my trailer did such a magnificent job, he had me there right beside him, no kidding 'helping', making my trailer fixed way, way beyond levels I thought possible. The women's bathroom too, is shockingly beautiful. What. The. Heck. Its a women's bathroom, in a truck stop. Just wow! Ty TA! Whoever your designer is, hug them on behalf of the 12% of female CDL holders in the country! Trust me. Its beautified to an unreasonable extent, yeah, I have no idea why. I'm used to hard core industrial toilet rooms, this was literally shocking. If you're a male trucker, don't be creepy and peek, just trust me. Probably yours is nice as well, so post about it here!

I've had to do a lot of dodging a weaving just to get to the bottled drinks in the back. It's not too bad when getting gas. You have to be careful for the crappy drivers go through the lot. This is one of those gas stations that you have to get a key to use the restroom. I'll never forget that shady looking guy who offered to watch my car while I went inside for a few dollars.
