Pumps don't work, place is disgusting, workers are rude. I never write reviews but this place was ridiculous

Jesus H. Christ this place needs to be condemned! Looking at previous reviews, this BP has been a hell hole and a breeding ground for disease since at LEAST 2013! When we pulled over in Joanna, South Carolina, and saw that there was only one gas station and a campground in town, I was quite leery from the start. However, my boyfriend had to tinkle, and he said he couldn't hold it any longer. So, I gave in and pulled into the rickety looking BP station. From the start, the place wasn't very welcoming based solely on the bold print, large font signs in all caps plastered all over the place stating "BATHROOMS ARE FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS ONLY!" So, even though we didn't need gas at the time, we decided this would be the place to fuel up, so that we would be granted permission to use the facilities. As soon as my boyfriend pulled over to the pump, he discovered that yes, indeed, this "gas" station, was out of gas. Yes! You heard that right! This gas station had zero, I repeat zero gallons of gasoline to sell. Welp, by the time he hollered that at me I was two steps away from the door handle, so I plunked it open and went in to use the restroom (I mean hey, we WANTED to be paying customers!)... As I walked past several more signs reminding me that the bathrooms were only for paying customers, I wondered if Leatherface was going to pop out of the secret door with his chainsaw revved up as he chased me back out to my car in the hopes to chop me up into bits! Once I finally got into the bathroom (it was a fight between myself and the door!) my worst fears came true as I realize this place was even more filthy than I had first realized! Flies were buzzing all around the toilet and buzzing in my ears as I hovered and did my best not to touch ANYTHING! I washed my hands quicker than I think I ever have (go figure the air dryer didn't work, but I didn't care... I just wanted out alive!) and dashed back to my car. At which time I doused myself in wet wipes and STILL feel filthy hours after this tumultuous experience! Does BP not have standards that must be enforced company wide?!?! Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT stop here! You're better off going in the dang woods! read more

This place would be comical if it wasn't so pathetic. The only plus is if you need a prophylactic. They had four different types in their vending machine . I guess you need it in this location because it looks like you're going to get screwed here. Filthy John. Urinal busted with beer case stuffe. Can't believe BP corporation allows this place to fly its colors. Lesson learned -you can't trust BP to maintain standards at its Branded locations Have to issue my stan Stadard disclaimer here although it should be obvious. This place is awful. We had to stop with only 3 miles to empty. Way over priced for gas and charged .11 extra for using a credit card which was not posted. DO NOT STOP HERE!!! read more

Absolutely disgusting. Their bathrooms are an abomination. I sure hope that they get inspected soon and changes are made. The place needs a deep cleaning for sure. Take some pride in your business! read more

I stopped at this location last night. The sign said gas was $3.23 per gallon (which I found was $0.10 higher than the station one exit up). As I started pumping, I realized I was being charged $3.33 instead. The manager argued that the $#.23 was a CASH price and my check card didn't count?!?! I KNOW I've used that check card as cash everywhere else. And the other reviewer is correct, it was dirty and smelled like pee. NEVER. AGAIN. read more

i wish there was a zero star option. if you have seen texas chain saw massacre run for your life. if you havent still run for your life. this place is so shady and like other reviews suggest they do overcharge for gas. again dont stop here. read more

I stopped here also. I ended up paying 2.72 for mid grade gas. A rip off!! Then of course being on the highway I had to use the bathroom. I almost didn't but ended up peeing all over the seat as I wasn't going to sit down on that nasty toilet. Then I bought coffee & pop tart. Said something to cashier about the gas prices. She told me she doesn't buy anything there. I asked her oh should I check the date on the pop tart. I wIsh I would have kept going as I wasn't desperate for gas at that time but they get you as if you stop who wants to get back in the car just to go more exits & stop again. Doesn't BP have standards about the properties that carry their name? That one should be condemned!! Gas prices pushed up too..i guess gas gouging isn't monitored?? Piss poor place!! read more
