During my commute I'd become very hungry and grumble after I passed the one in Murreysville thinking I should have stopped there. Always forgetting that New A has an awesome location as well. Pull in and order my food, then hit the road again. Really wish that more Sheetz locations would have a drive-thru (it's not unheard of). With hardly any competition for gas prices, may not always be the cheapest place to get gas, hold on a bit until you get to Delmont area, you might find a better price with more gas stations around.

Their fountain drinks have many large sizes but none compare to 7/11's double gulp. The food is made fresh with many varieties. It's overall a great convenient gas station. Instead a seed was planted here and cultivated and up sprung a gas station/convenience store. A common sight along this corridor that connects Pittsburgh to the rest of western Pennsylvania. Speedway has steadily been increasing their presence in the area and usually within distance to create competition with a nearby gas station chain. There is no difference in this area. New Alexandria has been kind of an oasis while driving Route 22 with it's one gas station that was open 24/7. With the addition of this station you now have a choice. Speedway is similar to the competition up the road in several ways. Open 24/7, offers food, and has a wide selection of items that you can grab and go. However this spot has a couple variations. First they offer diesel for the bigger vehicles on the roadways, so the lot is larger. Another is that they offer a sit down area to eat your food. Speaking of the food. Some of the items are heavy on the stomach and others are sparse on the toppings. Quick in the sense that once you order, by the time you pay your items are ready for pick up. One thing I do not like about this place is the fact that you do not seem to get great gas mileage from the fuel. Once I filled up here and went on my way, I basically needed to fuel up the next day. In my travels what would be a complete circuit for me, I used a half a tank of gas. Not great when I usually use much less than that. In the future, I will go elsewhere for fuel for my car, but I may end up stopping in for a quick item of fuel for myself.

Fountain drinks are priced fairly even through all of the inflation hikes, food is pretty good as convenience store food goes, you can even sit down and drink a beer out two if you'd like. (Which I haven't but thought it kinda cool that you can do that in Pa Now). Gas prices are comparable to others in the vicinity... And they have rewards where you can save $ on gas as well.

Speedways are popping up like dandelions in pavement in our area. Everywhere you look one is…read moresprouting. And if you pay close attention they are always near the local competition for western Pennsylvania, Sheetz. Speedway is basically Sheetz in just about every way. So if you have never been to a Speedway before but have been to a Sheetz, you already know what you are in for. Most of the same. Prepackaged snacks, coolers full of drinks, coffee bar with all the fixings and a place to order a quick meal to either take with you or eat in house in the small cafe section. This location is pretty new in the sense that it hasn't been open long. It is quite huge and can accommodate an onslaught of vehicles at any given time. Inside is nice and big as well. Customer service was alright, make sure you get their savings card, whatever the name of it is. The only thing I don't like about this place is the close proximity to the scenic hotel that has been there for years. All the sudden you now have a 24 hour gas station as a neighbor, get a room facing the other way now.

The front door has a sign that states that not only do they NOT have a public restroom, but to go to your choice of three nearby businesses to use their facilities. If I had known this before I stopped here, I would not have stopped. I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone and because of that I had to make another stop several miles up the road before I could relieve myself. The guy that was working was less than helpful and on the grumpy side. Like when I showed up I had awakened him from his slumber.
