I *was* surprised that the cream and sugar they added didn't turn it into a dessert instead of coffee. Latté's always hot enough, creamy, and tastes just the right amount of bitter... Sooo delicious. In my opinion, it's the absolute best in this part of the city. I like their yogurt parfait with toast (or one of their homestyle muffins), a big bowl of café au lait and the papers. Ahhh. Good times! Also, their crumble is pretty darn good. And try the sugar pie, you won't be sorry! ;) Crowd is pretty diverse (a mix of students, families and retirees), there's free wifi and plenty of seating. The ambience was relaxing and inviting and we enjoyed the sun-soaked, greenery-filled patio with our toddler while she munched on a chocolate peanut energy bite. I thoroughly enjoyed my cafe au lait (made with Barista quality almond milk) and my husband loved his "regular milk" cappuccino. The espresso roast was smooth and tasted like caramel. They also have tasty gluten-free snack options, including the lemon coconut ball which I devoured. My hubs loved his chocolate croissant which had a crunchy caramelized exterior.
