Teachers come and go as they please, and don't actually teach the students. I'm surprised this school has lasted as long as it has. They don't handle bullying, they don't drug test their athletes or students, their teachers badmouth students, and nothing happens to anyone who does wrong not even the staff. My child was physically assaulted, it was caught on camera and they did nothing. Three teachers were gossiping about my child and called her names, nothing happened. I have witnessed teachers screaming at children and nothing happened. This is not ok. Save your money! Do NOT send your kids to this horrible school. They will not thrive or succeeded this school is not worth it. Go anywhere else. The staff pretends to be nice and care until you're not around. Seriously do NOT send your kids there. I'm not the only parent who has had these problems just the only one leaving a review. They last half of the freshmen now sophomore class and a bunch of eighth graders now freshmen. The school is a joke, the sports program is terrible, and the academics are not par by any stretch of the imagination.

I will say, I have had to bring certain things to admin's attention like needing more frequent diaper changes to prevent diaper rash and although I wasn't pleased I had to say this I was extremely happy to see that my complaint and solutions were accepted with smiles and the situation was resolved quickly and I haven't had issues since. I can say Admin and teachers truly want your baby to be happy here and are willing to not only listen to your concerns and feedback but take action to correct things on their end. And yes, I'm a helicopter mom and it's very obvious and they don't judge (at least not to my face lol)

Hindsight is 20/20 and I wish I could take back all the time, patience and effort I put in to try and make it a good experience for her. This place not only has high turnover, high student to teacher ratio, it seems like it also sells you this false belief of superior education from the Montessori brand. So maybe you think that justifies a large monthly fee (nevermind their holidays and staff days), and well it's the best of the best it must be worth it. Wrong. Surely the staff must go through more than your typical cpr/first aid 24 hour training? No. Nothing special here. It's all branding. I tried being patient and understanding, but ultimately my reasons for pulling my child was her safety and well being. They don't have their furniture anchored on walls and so they have bookshelves in the middle of class. Well, you probably assumed some kid got hurt. Yep. Another kiddo pushed the bookcase on to my child, falling over on her fingers. Even after that they didn't want to prevent that from happening again because they technically didn't have to, is what they said, but it wasn't enough seeing a kid actually get hurt to make them think otherwise. I had to really complain to make them do something. Another incident was a child attacking my child outside and not responding to teachers telling them to stop. Did my kid's teacher see this incident? No. Another teacher did. They had the parents pick that kid up. Another time, I go to pick up my kid and once I buckle her in the car I notice she had a busted lip, and they didn't have me sign the usual incident report. Teacher didn't see it or even notice it. (You'll see this as a pattern.). The culmination was the same kid attacking my kid again, this time on her face, and did her teacher see it? No. Another teacher did. Let me mention that this incident would not have happened had they followed their own policy, (which is not having more than one classroom outside at a time) and had competent staff (there were 4 kids to 2 teachers in her class that day and it took a teacher from a different class to see it and stop it.) They had the parents come and cut the other kids nails but didn't separate them from my kid. All this goes without mentioning my kid constantly being sick and them doing a poor job cleaning and changing her diaper. I had spoken to the director and staff about my daughter's health condition, which requires frequent diaper changes or she is at risk of an infection that can affect her kidneys. One time I pick her up and she has a diaper full of poop. I complain. Within the same week, after picking her up, I get home to change her and notice particles of poop because they didn't clean her well. I send an email to all involved about it, but then my daughter had to be hospitalized because, you guessed it, she got an infection. Maybe you can take this knowledge and go to a daycare that's more affordable and will probably give you the same experience. At least your wallet will thank you. All I can say is now my daughter is thriving at home because she isn't getting hurt or sick. She is developing better because I actually interact with her, unlike a time when I saw on camera her teacher completely ignore her when an activity was set up, and no effort was made to bring my daughter over to learn. Do yourself, your sanity, and your wallet a favor and don't go here. Don't buy into all the influencer romanticizing Montessori aesthetics. All they do is say their script,"oh we apologize...we understand...", but there is no change. There is no striving to be better, to stay on the ball. Their words are empty of proactive action, or any action at all. The previous posts and pictures are dated, and those people aren't there anymore. So anything that was said before being nice is no longer applicable.

As a parent at HCMS I can confidently say that they have earned these five stars. To be fair my…read moretwo kids have never attended any other school, but to be doubly fair there has been no reason for them to. I've had one kiddo on the campus from age 4 until now (age 10), and my littlest one started this last spring (age 4). HCMS has a very strong familial environment that I honestly don't think I could find elsewhere. I know that they are happy and safe and learning in an environment that teaches more than just standard curriculum, but also an entire method of learning that never ceases to astound me. There are so many positive attributes I could list, but it's even easier to just go take a tour of the campus. Plus there is no description of the atmosphere that I could ever come up with to do the school justice. But If I had to pick just one thing about HCMS to relate to other parents who are looking for the right fit for their kids, it is that you are always welcome on campus. Seriously, like always. That was a big deal for an overbearing mother who wasn't ready to let go :) Instead of crying in the parking lot I was welcomed to cry on campus, in the office, in the classroom, heck I've shed a few tears in their goat habitat. You are welcome to observe the classes (all levels), and not only are you allowed to hang out but it's encouraged. Okay crap just one more thing that I want to mention is that the Montessori Method is really into having the students help each other, it's structured so that the older ones even give lessons to the younger ones. It's my impression that most of the parents of the school did not receive Montessori education themselves, but you would never know it. There is a great sense of comradery between the parents with each other as well as with the the eclectic group of teachers and staff. Many of the teachers and staff have students at the school as well. Shouldn't that be a pretty good indicator of a great place to drop your kids off every day? Now to business.....do I get a free appetizer if I 'check-in?'

The groups are mixed , young and old, and this church welcome visitors warmly with open arms. I always feel welcome, their masses are so well-organized from volunteers and different church groups. Mark Dreves, who has moved on to another parish church after saying a very unique and touching homily during our renewal of vows, Elaine H, our wedding coordinator and who took care of a lot of details on our special day, Melissa D, our music director, and other special people who helped us.

The fall festival and auction is top notch and the Trash to Treasure in the gymnasium is unbelievable. All year long, they collect goods and at Trash to Treasure, you can buy anything you have ever wanted for much less than even Goodwill. The church holds financial sessions, marital sessions, has an in house counselor, and a fine staff. I am partial to this place because it is where I got married. The process is long but it was so worth it. Their musical coordinator actually sang Ava Maria. It was very nice. I love OLPH. They have a school for kids and a waiting list for daycare that you should get on now if you are even planning on having children.
