My husband and I were planning on renting a uhaul and doing the move ourself to pickup our stuff in my moms garage in NJ and bring it to Connecticut. Last minute we decided the almost three hour drive each way combined with how much stuff we actually had vs what we thought we had wasn't worth it doing it ourselves. We checked around a few places Sunday night asking for a Tuesday move and Braha was very prompt in replying and had the lowest quote so we went with them. So glad we did! Russ was extremely communicative over text, email and phone and transparent with pricing. We ended up the night before adding a few more items and thirty boxes and the price only went up a bit. The day of the move Klim and Alfonso called me they were stuck in some traffic and would be an hour late which was nice they called. My mom kept texting me while they were packing her garage that these guys were the best and so nice and quick. I felt the same when they arrived for the unpacking. Very professional and delicate with all our stuff. We helped them unload and it got done super fast. The whole team truly made this process so easy that I don't think I can ever move again myself! Braha did a one bedroom apartment move last week from Englewood, New Jersey to Tampa. Pickup - very professional, kind foreman - Showed up an hour late - Showed up WITHOUT the COI which I clearly communicated with email - One of guys asked me if he could have my small packet of jerky sitting in the kitchen and I said "sure." To that he answered "we don't take, we always ask" - completely unprofessional Delivery - so no one keeps us updated of the move, we have to keep calling "dispatch" - Alex, a young gentleman, gives us a delivery window of 8 am to 10am and shows up at 11:30 with other notifying us. Here's where it goes sideways. They do an excellent job putting together the bed and couch. However, they did it hastily & we have damage to out brand new home walls and corners in multiple places. Alex has an attitude, a bad one. They cracked my garbage can and I asked him how we can rectify it and he goes with a look "you're going to claim that?" Mind you this is a $75 stainless steel garbage can with an infrared sensor. Now here comes the TIP. After him denying the damage to the walls, being 1.5 hours late and making me feel foolish for asking about a broken garbage can, he then asks for a tip. I say "I am sorry, I cannot tip you" To that he states "I got into moving because it's hard work with big tips and that we drove all night". Keep in mind I paid a pretty penny for professional packing and unpacking. Tips are OPTIONAL, I shouldn't have to pay nearly 4 grand for an attitude, damaged walls and (over an hour late) on both pickup AND arrival and then being shamed into tipping. read more

We used Braha on a long distance move from NYC to ATL. We booked them through the UNPAKT service (which I would also recommend). They showed up on time and unloaded our apartment quickly and efficiently. Everything was wrapped for protection. I worked for 6 summers as a mover in high school and college, so I know that they did everything properly. Because of this, the apartment was packed and prepped so that they could work efficiently. Everything arrived in Atlanta in one piece and within the estimated delivery time. I would definitely recommend these guys to anybody. read more

The Braha team was exceedingly efficient in packing and moving my 3 bedroom apartment (including 3 flights of stairs). The team were all very friendly and professional. I did have a few issues that are worth noting: 1) They accidentally left one of my backpacks on their truck when they moved (presumably thinking it was one of theirs, understandable). When I called they hand-delivered the item within 48 hours. So aside from a few moments of panic where I thought that the bag was lost, no problem. 2) They broke the wooden rail of a rocking chair. I expect things to be potentially be broken but I was a little disappointed that they had seen it (they had applied some packing tape to the damage) but not mentioned it. The chair had clearly fallen in the truck as it also had some marks on it from what I would assume was the paint in the truck. It was a replaceable part, I ordered a new one and they refunded the cost to me. 3. My file cabinet had a drawer badly dented to the point where it could no longer close. They took it to their repair shop and repaired it. It is far from new looking now, but it works. 4. a bowl was broken while they were packing... whatever.. it happens. All of these issues took a little longer than I would have liked to resolve, around three weeks of back and forth and multiple emails and calls. They did their best to resolve the issues though and they clearly stand by their service. Again, I would stress that the movers where generally excellent and much better than the last movers I used, I would have liked to avoid the hassles of repair. This was my first time using a moving company, and I didn't really know where to begin. I moved from Atlanta to NYC. Nick was incredibly helpful and communicative, answering every one of my questions up until the move. This move involved the usual household items plus an entire home workshop of tools and major power equipment used to make guitars. By far this is the best moving experience I have ever experienced. I know that everyone hates their movers, but after my 4th cross country move Braha was the worst I've dealt with. Their quote ended up being half of the actual charge, but by the time they are there to pick up the house, there is little choice left than to pay the extra $3,000. I had more things poorly packed and broken than any of my other moves. Things like paintings stretched, tall glass vases broken, and more. Honestly, the majority of our boxes looked like someone had dropped them from the truck - squished on the bottom with broken everything. Bad communication, bad estimate, bad delivery. Pay the extra and go with a big-name mover, it'll wind up being the same price in the end. read more

This was the best moving company we have worked with! We moved from the Midwest back to NYC and the team from start to finish was professional, attentive and cautious with our furniture. They gave us an excellent quote, coordinated the certificate of insurance and other small details, arrived on time, completed packing efficiently, tracked and tagged boxes and pieces, stored our items for 2.5 weeks and moved us into our new apartment without any issues. We had 25 boxes, tons of hand built furniture and other items that they handled with such care. They did a great job packing and moving stuff out of the apartment. That's the only positive about them. They came more than an hour late and tried to charge me an hour of "wait time" even though they only waited for half an hour at the lobby. The only reason why the had to wait was because they came more than an hour late. My roommate was ready to let them in but had to leave after waiting for them for an hour, requiring me to rush to the new apartment from Brooklyn, about an hour of travel time. I was able to dispute the fee, but what a pain to deal with when moving is already stressful. (Update on this: I received an email about additional charges from the move and of course the 1-hour wait time charge that was discussed as dropped was included, even though Braha said they will drop it. Incompetence is all they have to show). I then realized one of my furniture had a large hole on its side that was not there before the move. The shelf of my nightstand also has a large scratch that was not there before. My suitcase was badly discolored from a spill that happened from a bottle of detergent that was packed tightly with tape and a large ziploc bag. It is abundantly clear they do not handle items appropriately during the move when their clients are not looking. I emailed them about the damages, it has been more than two weeks, and have not gotten a reply. They clearly do not care. I will never be using their "services" again and no one should either. Avoid for your own good. Update 1: They called me to negotiate an update on this review. They offered to replace my items after I emailed them photos of the damaged items. Their excuse of not replying to my original email was that I sent it to the wrong email address, even though that email address is posted on their website. I sent another email with photos and a summary of the phone call I had. It's been two weeks and I've gotten no replies, again. Dishonest and disrespectful money and time-wasters. Update 2: After two months of waiting the movers delivered and built a replacement hatch for my desk. The night stand was repaired, albeit the mark can still slightly be seen. read more

Braha Moving Systems just performed a move of my belongings from Florida to Atlanta. In the process of doing so they destroyed an antique coffee table and severely damaged the corners of my dining room table (a new and expensive piece from West Elm that is worth $700). The service people aren't responsive, and they delivered my belongings 3 days after initially communicated because of a truck maintenance issue. Mind you, the drivers of the said truck were not aware of the issue to the truck when they arrived. This was overall a horrible experience, I would not recommend using Braha Moving Systems. You're better off renting a U-Haul and throwing your back out. This is a clown service. read more

Great experience with this company from start to finish. I would definitely use them again. They were very helpful and responsive by phone or e-mail to quote and arrange the move, including sending certificates of insurance to our building. On the day of the move, the three guys worked hard and took great care of our stuff. They disassembled and wrapped our furniture, got it out of our old place and into our new place, and unwrapped and re-assembled on the other end. They did all this faster than estimated and our final price was lower as a result. The best part - not a single item broke during the move. read more

The moving guys (Misha, Igor and Sergei) were excellent. 5* for them - truly fantastic. They were immensely efficient and friendly. They arrived ready to go and had everything wrapped up in a matter of hours. Their price is also very competitive. The only issue we experienced was relating to their insurance policy. NB - this is in all likelihood not the fault of the company but rather with the Insurance provider (and the general price gouging bullsh*t that the industry promotes). During the move our Amazon Echo somehow got cracked even though it was in the original box. We flagged this up with the office and asked for compensation. They have insurance but the stipulations seem to be that they are only covered for $0.30 per LB of weight. So an computer worth $1000 that only weights 2lbs, for instances, will net you around $0.60 in compensation. But again this isn't a reflection on Braha (hence the 5 stars). Ultimately they offered us more than they were legally obliged to, as a gesture of good faith, which is always appreciated. All in all it is a superb service. You may want to consider either taking out your own insurance or being prepared to wear the cost if anything unfortunately does break. read more

Our sales rep was Ksenia and our pick up movers were Max and Max. They are true professionals. I wasn't a great customer because I underestimated the inventory that they had to pick up and move, by about half, but they did it anyway. This changed the quote amount by quite a bit...but again, mostly my fault. Fair warning though: they do a very meticulous job. Every piece of furniture was wrapped and padded. This process took a long time but our items were very well packed. We weren't expecting such elaborate packing but then again, I guess we could've done better prep work for them as well. We just got boxes from UHaul and threw our stuff in them and left our furniture out for them. We are still waiting for the drop off but so far we are satisfied. read more

Terrible communication and process. We moved from San Francisco to Seattle and used Braha for inter state moving. The SF movers did not contact us. The Braha office (Lavina) was proactive until they received our confirmation to use them, but no communication from them after that. We had to call Braha each time for updates. No communication from the Seattle movers until we called Braha at least three times. The delivery window got postponed by 7 days. We have a newborn baby and will be without any of our stuff for nearly 3 weeks. I do not recommend Braha and will use a big name company for inter-state moving next time. Braha was incredibly professional, fast, and efficient. I had never moved out of state and I had never used a moving company before and was not sure what to expect. Frank texted me on the morning of the move to let me know they would be there soon, then called 2 days later to tell me he would deliver everything the next day, and then called me on delivery day to say he was on the way. On delivery day, I was given a checklist of my items, and every time they brought one in, I checked off the item. I am extremely impressed and grateful for Braha. There is no messing around with these guys, they are the real deal and excellent at their jobs. All of my furniture was wrapped nicely and delivered with care. Sergii's team moved us out of our apartment in Long Island City. They were courteous, professional, and very (like, astonishingly) fast. We were concerned about our large art pieces and televisions, having not ordered boxes ahead of time, but they had all the materials on hand and packaged them up without an issue. They tagged everything and provided a detailed bill of lading at the end. Braha's support beforehand was excellent, and it doesn't hurt that their pricing is VERY competitive. I'll start with the good. They did a legitimately good job packing and moving our stuff for us. They are good at their jobs of packing stuff up, picking it up, and transporting it to another location. That's not be taken lightly, so I want to mention it first. However, the way they handle the tipping part of the transaction is shady and downright unethical. First off, they totally lied to both me and my fiance and said that the industry standard for tipping movers was 30%. If I were to tip them 30% on my end in one location, and then she tipped them 30% on her end in the other location, then they would've received a 60% tip!!!!!! Also, we're talking about an almost $2500 bill, so they were trying to get a $1500 tip from the two of us. I know you're thinking "well certainly they meant 30% combined", but that's not the way it was ever presented to me and my fiance. They wanted 30% from me at the pickup location and then another 30% from her at the drop off. It was ridiculous. They brought the subject of the tip up first and they kept bringing it up. In fact, the guy told me that if I took care of him and his guys with the 30% that he'd make up for it by claiming less boxes (we were using them through Unpakt) so that our bill from Unpakt would be lower. Absolutely, totally unethical. This happened several times. I didn't misunderstand him. He kept repeating it. If I tipped him and the crew well he was going to lie to Unpakt and say they picked up less furniture than they did. This ended up being a very frustrating experience. It felt like a shakedown for the tip and I will absolutely never use them to move anything again and recommend you find a company with better ethical practices too. Had they just came in and did their job and left, I would've tipped them the same amount that I gave them and left a 5 Star review. read more

My husband and I used Braha moving systems booked through Unpakt. It was a one bedroom move, traveling approx 200 miles away. Due to our prior experiences with moving companies, we were extremely concerned about hidden fees (mandatory over priced tips), curb distance fees and packing material charges etc. However with Braha, what was quoted was exactly what was charged (NO B.S) and the industry standard 15-20% tip was optional, although highly encouraged. They did a fantastic job with the move and we were more than happy to tip for the exceptional service. Not only did one guy move 5 boxes at a time the other two were "loading the truck" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! The quote I got was $500 I ended up paying over $1200. They clearly took their time. I hired Braha moving to move me from New Jersey to the Manhattan. I contacted Braha late on a Wednesday night via their online chat feature (it was probably around 11pm) and they sent me a quote while we were using the online chat and set the appointment up for that Sunday all over the chat. They called me the next day to confirm everything, I couldn't believe how quickly I was able to turn it around. I also used their Sofa Doctor Service. I was afraid that my couch was never going to look the same again after taking it apart but these guys know what they are doing and it looks like nothing every happened to it. It was a large, three seater couch with a sofa pull out. Taking the couch ended up being longer than they anticipated so the cost was higher than the original quote because they quoted me for 4 hours and it ended up being about 7 hours total. It was completely worth every penny and I appreciated that the movers took their time to make sure that the couch was back together properly and everything was in place where I wanted it. The total cost was a $1,124 that included a credit card processing fee, and the extra materials to protect my large decorative mirror, my TV and dresser. Extremely reasonable, with great customer service, and the movers were very nice. I plan to hire them when I move out of here. read more

The foreman tried to charge me extra for not having an elevator, when I had already paid for that. I called Ksenia and got it straightened out. Furniture reassembly was lazy. We just used Braha to move from a 2 bedroom apt from Harlem to Brooklyn, including their full packing service as well as couch doctor service. I initially found them through a well known website comparing moving companies, and they seemed to be the cheapest. After reading great reviews, I emailed back and forth with Ksenia, who was very professional and always responded quickly to my questions. We had a couple of moving companies coming to our apartment to give us a quote, and Braha ended up being indeed the most affordable. They also honored a discount that I had found on another website, so I really appreciated that. I also really liked the fact that they gave us a flat rate - they guaranteed no increase even if the move was going to take longer than expected. One less thing to worry about! Something that was definitely a big differentiator for us is that they have a couch doctor service. Our sofa is huge and needs to be taken apart, and it was great that we didn't have to call another company to do it. We were initially scheduled to do everything in one day (packing and moving), but a couple of days before they called me to let me know that it would be best if they came the day before to pack everything. And thank god they did, because our building has a 5pm cutoff for move ins and there is no way it would have been completed in time. They packed everything VERY thoroughly (maybe even a little too much, I think half the Amazon rainforest was decimated to produce that much wrapping paper), and nothing was broken or damaged. Took them just a few hours to pack everything, while it would have taken us days. Moving day went smoothly as well, and they moved everything within the time frame they were supposed to. We actually wish we had booked their unpacking service as well, because we ended up with far more boxes than we thought and so. much. wrapping. paper. This is the worst moving company I have booked. They took my stuff 3 weeks back with the assurance that my stuff will reach between 3 to 12 business days. I have been keep calling them and asking them about the update but they every time give foolish reasons and don't give exact date when I will receive my stuff. Customer care is so pathetic that they don't have the correct information. I would recommend not to book this ever if you want to be safe. I am really worried for my household stuff that I am ever going to get it. I have been staying in hotel and spending out of my pocket. I am paying rent of the apartment as well where I am not staying since I don't have any stuff to live there. I think my food stuff is going to get spoiled which is with them for long time. read more

My girlfriend and I moved from NY to Chicago. We've lived in NY for 11 years and it was already an emotional move to detach from a city we knew so well. We wanted movers for sure. Neither of us had ever done an out of state move with movers before and were basically skeptical of everyone. Braha moving was awesome from start to finish. Nick was professional and extremely patient with both my girlfriend and I. The day of the move 3 men showed up. Andre and the other 2 (sorry I forgot their names) were very professional. We payed for an expedited service. So they picked our stuff up in NY, 2 days later it was in Chicago. After they picked everything up I remember the young guy who didn't speak English that well took the time to say good bye and shook my hand before leaving. I thought it was a nice touch. The whole time everyone was very careful with our stuff. More careful then I would have been honestly. When they showed up in Chicago there was a moment where it was kind of a tight situation driving the truck down the back alley to get to the rear entry, but they handled it like pros. It was so great to not have to worry about stuff like that. All and all we lost one plate but that was our fault for the way we packed it. Other then that everything was perfect. Andre was such a pro and so easy to talk to. He was basically the front man to talk thru any paperwork issues or discus any thing that was going to happen like putting the bed together etc. Im not sure what else to say about Braha other then I wish I could move every time with them. Here's a list of everything to look out for if you book thru this company: 1) they showed up 30 minutes before schedule without an advance call 2) they did not have good attitudes (looked sloppy/hungover; they had no uniform) 3) barely broke a sweat (had to move many boxes myself) 4) poor special awareness/organizational skills/leadership a) moving everything into hallway, blocking themselves in b) moved boxes into new place before couches, wasting time c) did not use assembly line method 5) does not provide good customer service--discussions with management were very difficult when trying to explain the situation. I cannot say enough great things about the three guys that helped me move: Andre, Giorge, and Igor!! Here are some things I really appreciated about this company: 1. They provided me with an accurate estimate - I paid within $10 of the amount they quoted me. There were ZERO surprise charges!!! 2. They didn't hassle me like other companies. I called 1.5 months before my move to inquire about an estimate as I was looking at multiple moving companies. I spoke with Andre on the phone. He was very polite, emailed me the quote, and followed up with ONE phone call. Every other company called me 5+ times, left me harassing voicemails and texts, and spammed my email. After a month of searching, I went back to Braha to update my quote (this time with Knesia, who was just as polite) and chose to move forward with them. 3. They were on time. They give you a one hour window of arrival and actually stick to it! 4. All 3 guys were polite and efficient. Braha charged me based on time, and these guys didn't mess around to charge me more. They were working a sweat and hustling to move everything while being super careful with all my items. 5. Nothing was lost or broken!
