    Unapologetic old school diner food at its best. If you ever have the chance to spend a morning in Eugene, you must, must, must come and have a great breakfast at Brazil's. The entire staff no matter the day is always helpful and quick but not overly hawking over you either. The eclectic interior and not adds to the mystique of this place. You can either sit table side or you can pony right up the bar if you're on your own and have a meal reminiscent of your 50's diner.

    We arrived here at 1:20pm and they were closing at 2pm! I am so glad that they still took us in and gave us time to order and settle! The service was great! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive! The ambiance was nice it really felt like a diner! The food was Delicious! Everything we have ordered were amazing!!! I recommend this restaurant to people who will pass by Eugene as this has been open since 1948!!!

    My partner and I went here for breakfast this morning. It had been on my list to try for a while so we finally stopped in. We arrived around 10am and were seated immediately. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside! It wasn't too busy, only one other group was in our dining room when we arrived and it filled up shortly after. The server came to us pretty quickly and took our drink orders. We both got a hot chocolate, which arrived within minutes. It was clearly Swiss Miss but the whipped cream was really good. Our food came about 10 minutes later. I got the big breakfast with scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage links, and white toast. My partner got the French toast sampler with bacon and fruit. Everything was pretty good! The hash browns were perfectly crispy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My dish was the perfect size for how hungry I was. My partner's French toast was also really good. Our server was very nice and attentive. He was checking on us and his other tables frequently and was not pushy at all when he dropped the bill. Overall this is a great diner and I'm glad we stopped in. We will definitely be back!

    This place is a classic brunch spot in Eugene. The portions are ginormous, menu is huge, and the service is quick. I got a Monte Cristo with onion rings, and everything came out fresh. The sandwich was yummy and came with lots of meat. The side portion of onion rings were very generous. This place is great for groups of friends, family, etc. Other people in my group got a burger, omelette, sandwiches, eggs Benedict, and everyone was happy with their food. Easy parking!

    Walking in to Brails at 9am on a Wednesday we were promptly sat and provided beverages. Our food order took a bit but we didn't mind waiting. Everything was delicious and as ordered.

    A good old country breakfast! We are in town for the Oregon relays and had coffee at Dutchbros and the barista recommended this spot. We love recommendations from locals and he chose great coffees for me so why not. He didn't steer us wrong. This really unassuming spot had the best, filling breakfast. Angie, our server, could not have been more kind or attentive. She was nice enough to move us to a larger table because we convinced some other track parents to join us. I started with the Cranberry mimosa and it was served in the cutest glass, like something my grandmother probably had. I chose to Build my own omelette with cheddar, sausage and spinach. I was shocked that a side choice was biscuits and gravy. Everything arrived quickly and was seasoned well. Definitely try this spot out and ask for Angie.

    Visited Brails the morning after a game and the wait was pretty quick! We were able to get warm coffee and tea while we waited which was quite the bonus because it was chilly outside. The food is absolutely amazing- the breakfast sandwich, veggie burrito, chocolate chip pancakes and biscuits and gravy were all hot, appropriate portions and delicious.

    Maybe the best place in Eugene for breakfast. Very friendly snd helpful staff, and the place is oddly bigger on the inside. Like a Tardis. Food was great snd hot.

    Service was slow. Person at counter was on break so I sat for a while with no service. Finally was able to order. Had hangover special. Hash browns were under cooked. Biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were dried out and tough and chewy leather like texture. With nowhere near enough gravy even if they had been fresh. Not nearly as good as other visits.

    I'm sorry Brail's. I'm aware you're a Eugene establishment and you get tons of food for the price you pay, but the food quality is so cheap and greasy that it gave me an insane stomach ache for the rest of the day. The grits tasted like tap water. Not my kind of restaurant.

    Brail's is a terrific breakfast and lunch restaurant. I just had the best patty melt I've ever had. Very friendly staff.

Let us begin with the triumph. The buckwheat pancakes arrive not merely as breakfast, but as a composition. A stack of admirable loft and structure--evidence of a properly developed batter, handled with restraint and precision. The crumb is airy yet resilient, each bite yielding gently before dissolving into a delicate nuttiness inherent to buckwheat. A caramelized banana sauce pools generously, glossy and fragrant, its sweetness tempered by the cultured tang of crème fraîche. Toasted coconut chips scatter across the top like crisp punctuation, lending both aroma and texture. This is cooking that understands balance--sweetness checked by acidity, softness lifted by crunch, comfort elevated by technique. It is, quite simply, a five out of five dish. The kitchen, here, remembers what it means to nourish and delight. And then--alas--we encounter its counterpoint. We had the buckwheat pancakes with caramelized bananas, dates, and pineapple syrup which was sweet but not overly so since the pancakes underneath were not touched by the syrup ended up being a really nice balance. Bacon was like a cross between pork belly and bacon (very thick) but really tasty. Breakfast Sando was good with in-house ground pork and a nice aioli. We also tried the savory macarons (Brie and truffle) which are delicious. Creamy and a tad sweet. Not too much truffle. Coffee was a bright tangy pour over-not my favorite type but some people really like that style. Oh, and we had a blood orange mimosa which was really good Overall an excellent experience! Definitely going to again when we are in town!

I will also say, I worked in restaurants for almost 8 years and I am VERY understanding of costs and the possibilities of off days. But this place is honestly ridiculous. First of all, I did a to-go order, so my review is completely about that experience, the food, and the cost. I do not have a review of the service. $18 dollars for a breakfast burrito sounded crazy, but since it was my bad not checking the prices, I went through with it. The food was not at all worth $18. It was bland and soggy, not moist or juicy from the sausage, just soggy. The flavor of the sausage was good but other than that the burrito was completely bland. The home fries on the side were pretty tasty but I didn't even want them and would've preferred them inside the burrito or not included at all for a lower price. My main reason for leaving 1 star and not maybe 2 or even 3 is that they charge a 10% gratuity on to-go orders which, to me, is unacceptable. I generally tip about that much on my own for to-go (20-35% if I eat in for people who think I'm awful lol), but given the food is ridiculously overpriced I was unsure if I would this time. Them making that decision for me without any heads up ensures I will never come back here again. A small note on ambience; the place is stinky. As I said, I didn't sit down so take this with a grain of salt, but when I walked in I was blasted with a musty and kind of dirty smell that would've had me not wanting to stay for a meal. I honestly feel bad writing this review but this place does not deserve the communities continued business unless they SERIOUSLY up their game. I don't believe I will ever be back but hopefully they improve and actually live up to the 4.1 rating that they have. There are many, many better tasting and more affordable options throughout Eugene, even places with much lower ratings.

My breakfast from the Hay Y'all food truck in Eugene arrived with promise, and in many ways, it delivered. The flavors were thoughtful, deliberate, and undeniably well executed. The pecan-crusted chicken was juicy, its crust confident and well seasoned. The French toast was rich without excess. The biscuits were fluffy and deeply comforting, and the gravy--pepper-forward yet restrained--was balanced precisely to my taste. This is food made by someone who understands flavor. And yet, cuisine is not merely flavor. It is temperature, proportion, and expectation meeting reality. Despite picking up my order immediately and driving no more than two minutes home, nearly everything arrived lukewarm--hovering uncomfortably between hot and forgotten. This was the single greatest disappointment, as warmth would have elevated every component substantially. Food like this begs to be eaten hot, not merely remembered as such. Portion size, particularly for the pecan-crusted chicken and French toast, also fell short of what had been promised--if not verbally, then visually. Online images suggest generosity: three, sometimes four pieces of chicken. My plate held two, both smaller than expected. The price remains reasonable, but I would gladly pay slightly more to receive portions that align with those expectations. The accompanying fruit, while a pleasant gesture, felt miscast. Tart strawberries and under-ripe pineapple did little to complement the dish. In January, this is forgivable--but perhaps a preserve or jam would serve the plate better, offering harmony rather than contrast. And yet, I find myself conflicted. Because despite these shortcomings, the food is good. More than good. It is thoughtful, balanced, and clearly prepared with care. With accurate portioning and food served properly hot, this meal would easily earn four, perhaps even five stars. I know this. For that reason, while my immediate, emotional reaction rests closer to a three or three-and-a-half out of five, I am rating this experience a four out of five stars. The quality of the cooking warrants generosity, even when execution falters. I was there very early, right at opening, and I recognize that busy mornings can challenge even capable kitchens. I will return. Not out of optimism, but out of confidence--because when food is this well conceived, it deserves another chance to be served as intended.
