My 20-year-old had also just transitioned to your care following the termination of services with a prior therapist. This abrupt loss of continuity has now impacted both of my daughters, undermining the stability and trust that are essential to effective therapeutic work. Mental health care, especially with children and young adults, requires careful planning when changes in provider occur. Professional standards dictate that clients must be given adequate notice, a clear explanation of the change, and a coordinated transition plan to protect their mental health and prevent harm. The absence of these measures in this case is unacceptable and falls short of your obligations as a care provider. Very disappointed with this practice and how they run their business.

Having someone follow me was unnecessary and made me so uncomfortable that I needed high doses of sleep medication just to get through the night. I would call my experience here near-traumatic. I started seeing Rebecca when I was on Stanford Campus and she was working for the Counseling service there. I was having some personal issues which I won't detail here (nosy, aren't you?) and she helped me move forward with my life. I still check in with her when I'm having troubles and I've found her therapy very useful. Rebecca uses cognitive and behavioral therapy and really stresses mindfulness and awareness. I found this approach very useful. She's really good at arming you with tools that you can use going forward, rather than simple solutions to a current issue. As an added bonus she has later evening appointments which works great for folks with jobs and schedules that are hard to rearrange.
