Me Realty - Part of the Attic Access hanging down

    Me Realty

    (3 reviews)

As new home buyers, we definitely got suckered in. We trusted Gaynor/Seth, at ME Realty, to help us…read moreout, but they appear to have been in it more for the Seller not for us as the buyers. Lesson learned. Our first mistake was buying without us physically seeing the actual property. That, apparently, made it easier to let a lot of things slide, such as safety issues, broken windows, poorly installed electrical, poor painting and cleanup, and other things... It does not appear that Gaynor and or Seth actually looked at this property, or I would think that they might have picked up on at least some of these issues. In the end, we were told, "You bought it. Oh Well. It's your problem now." This statement proves who's interests were being looked after. Some of the Issues with this property are: 1) Part of the attic access in the garage is being held up by what appears to be a piece of a paint stirrer, 2) poorly installed, 3) electrical outlets with big gaps in the drywall around them, 4) ceiling lights with what appears to be Romex installed without cable clamps in the electrical boxes, 5) apparently, there was a fire near the electrical panel in the basement which necessitated installing a new circuit breaker panel, 6) no GFCI outlet in the garage, and 7) probably one of the worst things I have seen is the garage door safety sensors being installed in the ceiling behind the garage door opener. These sensors are no more than a few inches apart, facing each other, and they will not prevent the garage from shutting on anyone or anything. All of the problems point to professionals not being hired for the remodeling or maybe hiring really drunk professionals. The moral of the story is: DO NOT use the same realtor as the seller. DO NOT trust anyone to tell you the complete truth. DO NOT allow the seller(s) to tell you no on fixing things. If you see something that you think might be bad, question it. People are going to tell you things so they can make a buck. Most people are not going to care about you after they make the sale. Personally, I will think twice about ever using ME Realty if the need ever arises again. Check out the included pictures.

My wife and I bought a duplex with Seth when we moved to Lincoln for my wife's job. Every part of…read morethe process was great. Gaynor showed us properties and was punctual, knowledgeable and fun. We got a great price and have been happy with the property. We'll definitely be recommending Seth and Gaynor to anyone we know looking for a real estate agent.
