I've been working with Brainy Apps over two years to create an app. it's been an overly long process. When the team would say they would have XYZ done by XYZ it was always multiple weeks up to months pushed back. I gave them full payment upfront. They are claiming to be done with my project yet have not fixed crucial issues that are making it a non-user-friendly app. I'd like to believe I did not get scammed but...... We have had to make the decision to shut down our app, this was the last straw when it came down to a mistake like this...and I most certainly do not take it lightly when it comes to people's money and accounts. Your Facebook example is great, but we aren't a social media platform. We are a transaction based, buyer/seller platform. There is no room for a mistake like coding the seller's funds to go back to the buyer. IF we would have had thousands of users that would have been a nightmare. This is our issue, we are thinking ahead and seeing the liability that is being created for us, due to your lack of competence. This entire process has been a nightmare to say the least. Your company took a year and half longer to even complete our app, horrible communication and it wasn't until we wrote a bad review to the BBB that your upper management stepped in to actually get the project completed. Our app took over 3 years, $26,000 later and have an app that is worthless. Once they get all your money, communication becomes less and less. Our app doesn't even function correctly, so many bugs and issues. Every software company in the states out sources their coders like middlemen. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They take advantage of peoples dreams. I started this app in 2017. They said it would take 3-4 mnths. Its now 2021. In the store not able to purchase, was told to tell customers to go around it to my website that "Apple wont find out they never check" Old equipment my website went down for years. I paid my own coders to help them, they cost me wasted years and alot of money. They are not professional and when they don't know how to fix something they dont respond. When I disputed additional fees they charged so that I would have access to my own website co owner said " As part owner of the company I have every right to be involved. The amount that you have been charged is for partial payment of this months server and a service fee. You apparently dont understand the amount and of time and money that you cause our company. If you choose to do a charge back we will then have no other choice but to stop our services" You are stuck because they have your money and app. So without the money you have no app and the app they give is either not completed or not working correctly. They are rude and do not respond. They have now said in 2021 that my website is expired and I have to create another app. They moved my website from Godaddy in 2017 where it was safe to their server where it kept crashing for years. Now in 2021 they say it expired to start a new app... sooooo more money?? What ANOTHER 4 years!!!! I have gone to someone else that said I should've known it doesnt take 5 years to create and app. I am not tech smart, they take advantage of people. They make you sign paperwork so you cant sue. Look at all the reviews they are all the same. You get an app that doesnt work. I paid over 34 thousand dollars for my app in August of 2019 and it's still not live. They were working on it at a decent pace in the beginning and would respond in a timely manner. Then communication slowly came to an end. I called several times and emailed several times over a period of months and no one would respond. In March of 2022 I posted a negative review on TrustPilot and miraculously someone responded to my emails. They said my app was complete but it still wasn't transferred over to me. Apple was to blame. So now they are supposedly working to get my app finalized and transferred over to me. I also asked for the source code and it's encrypted so I asked again. April 7th was the last time I heard anything. I have emailed several times since then and I have not been responded to. I can't wait for this nightmare to be over!!!!! Brainnyapps is the worst company that you can chose for your App. They will charge you between 25k and 35k for the App that's worthless. They don't know anything. When i brought up my idea to them, they are like it will cost you around 15k and then nightmare starts.. At the end the total cost was 28k and guess what? I got worthless app, that some JUNIOR can make it literally for 1000$.. I had to find another company and pay all over again to re do App completely. When they saw the App they could not believe what Brainnyapp charge me for. It was plain app with old platform, Brainny apps still uses ADMIN which is old school, these guys were laughing what worthless App i got for 28k.. they had to do everything again from the start.. In a meantime they were asking Brainnyapps for Facebook SDK, Access codes, so we can transfer the App to the new server, do marketing etc.. Brainnyapps HAD NO IDEA what these guys wanted from them in order to do update and transfer the App. It cost me soooo much stress getting all these things and i am still missing some things.. i called this guy Gus 10 times already, he is ignoring me, because he does not have interest anymore, he can't squeeze me for the money.. As long as you pay to them, they will answer the phone, once you pay off you App FORGET ABOUT THEM ANYMORE.. I have sent 100 emails so far, nothing.. So laaame. At one point i wanted to give up and let the App go and pay everything over again, could no deal with ignorant people anymore. Finally when we sent them STEP by STEP instructions how to get us what we need, i finally got it, but still missing some things. Brainnyapps does not know ANYTHING about Apps, they charge you a lot of money and then they pay some people in India and China 25% of what you pay to them to build you the App.. Please stay away from these folks and save money for yourself, don't get burned like i did..Do it yourself is better option to make your App then pay to them 30k for nothing. The sad part is, it's all a giant SCAM. People may be convinced otherwise when they are told over the phone, "your idea sounds amazing, we get hundreds of submissions weekly so even if your idea doesn't get approved by our team, we will happily take the steps to point you in the right direction." The best part is the call back after 24-48 hours when they tell you, "we are happy to announce that your idea was approved and we would like to move forward." Making it seem as though they chose yours over "ALL" those other submissions. Please don't make the same mistake I did, luckily I only made one payment with them and just got off the phone with my credit card company who will hopefully be getting the money back to me. I feel horrible for the other people who have actually confided in them and realized after giving $20,000 that it's all a giant scam. I went with brainy apps finding them on the web, i had initially discussed and told them i was interested in making an emoji app and my budget was 10 thousand dollars, they told me yes, we can definitely try and make it in that range, they did a solid job of making what i intended and had discussed with them about my app and was happy with how it was looking, only for them to come back with a quote for 40 thousand to do the coding. I had told them my budget was 10 thousand, after already taking my 4 thousand dollars. And then telling me it will take an extra 6 to 7months with 2 months we already did, for a simple emoji app. I started reading reviews and realized I couldn't trust these people, you also see how they respond to criticism and instead of acknowledging their own mistakes tgey just fight back and say they did a great job. Didn't waste your time there start up fee is $395 they call it a brainstorming phase after that you don't know what your app will cost you. Then when you ask the sales guy questions about cost for second phase he was very rude, disrespectful, and he used Mr sale guys famous quote (I can loss my job). Good way to redirect the question.
