This place has rides, a large playground, a great hike, and a pyramid you can climb. Yes, a real pyramid! The entrance to the playground is free and super fun. The rides and games are an extra cost but not totally unreasonable. Most rides are 1 token per person which isn't bad at all. On the nature side, you can watch and pet a range of animals, there are beehives and an "insect hotel", and there are educational displays to learn about different plants. I found it closed a bit early (6 PM during summer time) while it won't get dark till much later. Still I'd highly recommend this place.

That all being said, it's really great fun when you go with children from different ages. I personally love going with my friend Sarah and her two daughters (currently two and five). That way there's always someone still enjoying themselves and the kids always have someone to play with. We like to use the "toddler" deal whenever we can go before noon on a weekday which means that parents pay €7,50 instead of €11,00. Ka-ching! The one thing that does bother me a bit here is the food. If you want your child to enjoy a healthy snack, you're going to have to bring it from home as they serve fried food, candy, sugary drinks and some not-so-healthy sandwiches. Luckily they're perfectly fine with you bringing in your own food and drinks. :)

The Linnaeushof has equipment for kids of all ages, ranging from a simple play area for toddlers, to go-karts, an indoor playground, huge slides, a small waterpark, and really cool chairlifts that took you for a ride across the lake, which you could also explore by paddle boat! At the heart of the playground stands a restaurant, though perhaps snackbar would be a better term. Basic french fries, kroketten, etc., and ice cream. Nothing special, but it's perfect for kids parties and long playground days.

We ate food there which was extremely cheap, Frankfurter & Chips for 1.50 Euro, Coke/Fanta all 1.00 Euro etc. I think for the price, you'll be hard pushed to get any better value! Best ages for kids would be 5-13 I guess. Try and pick a nice day and bring swimming trunks and towels as you/they will get wet! I was burried by my kids under tons of dry corn, we made our own water feature out of guttering, and patted are a few small animals too. Everything to make it enjoyable for all children. My top tip would be to bring your own food to BBQ as they have BBQs everywhere you can make use of for free. You can rent a little cart for 3 Euro deposit to put everything in and pull it along.
