I am so happy I found this school!…read more I did 4-hours of instruction a day during my 3-week homestay in July 2026. The "rainy season" just meant stormy (cozy) nights and maybe an hour of rain in the afternoon to cool things down. Super pleasant time of year to visit. The quality of the teaching was extremely high. Relaxed and fun yet incredibly professional and smart. Each day I had personalized lessons that spoke immediately to the grammatical concepts the instructors noticed I wasn't grasping, in addition to fun and relevant conversation practice. Great to strengthen my B1/B2 level and filled in many gaps. Tlaquepaque is a lovely and idyllic smallish-town vibe and the neighborhood is safe for a woman to walk around at most hours. English isn't spoken too much in the immediate area so every time you go outside is an opportunity to hammer in the learning, and the intimate size of the neighborhood made it easy to build community quickly just by going to the gym, pharmacy, restaurants, markets and such. I will be back next summer and hopefully sooner! I didn't have the energy to do all the activities available in the 3-weeks I was there (lots to do all the time on top of lessons) so I look forward to hike, ruins tour, lucha libre. Shouts out: tequila tour, Bravo Cocina, Lalo, Marifer, Wouter, and all the lovely people I met at the school. Also Guadalajara Connect language club was a fun hang on Wednesday and Friday to meet other travelers and locals to practice any language and eat and drink :) Thank you!!!!!

I have been to four different Spanish language schools and this Guadalajara Language Center is one…read moreof the better ones. You can take either two or four hours of classes. 9:00 - 11:00 and 11:30 - 1:30. The classes are fun and designed to be engaging for adults. They don't feel like high school or college Spanish classes. More like hanging out and learning Spanish. One of my instructors was really top grade. The other was good, but not great. I rented one of the on campus apartments. It was very nicely appointed and right at the school, which is SUPER convenient. The kicker is that the owner is the community atmosphere. Classes start at 9:00, but people gather at 8:45 and hang out and drink coffee. (Free and good coffee!) The owner also organizes activities after school and on the weekends. Some are community events that he knows students will enjoy and some are put on by the school. I went to one which was a free walking tour and another which was a language hang out night at the school.
