Great service and laid back ambiance. Murphy will not sell you a pool table. Don't ask! He's a great bartender. If you're up riding the Talimena Parkway, this is a great place to relax and have a cold one. read more

Love coming here .. not in Polk county much but the people at the bar are the greatest never felt out of place bartender are amazing even when I was DD coffee was always made for me love this place read more

With great affection I can say this is a dive bar like non other. It's the sole watering hole for…read moremiles around. The crowd is 100% local so they all know one another. Scared yet? Well don't be because they are extremely welcoming. (I'll admit I was unfoundedly nervous the first two times I went.) Don't be surprised if someone buys you a cold one in exchange for your story. The beer is fresh, cold and served at old fashioned prices, the people are curious and kind, and the stories and gossip are priceless.
