When we first moved here, we loved going to this place. It's convenient and the food is decent. Unfortunately, my brothers decided to go there last night for a couple of drinks and decided to play some casino games. My brother asked the waitress that was serving them if he could get change for $20, she said yes, and came back with change.. Well it was not all of the $20, missing about $5 from it. This happened twice, finally my brother got upset and asked her why she was shorting him change, she said nothing but she could go get change out of her purse for him!???? Confused he said no, can't you get the change from the register?she said nothing and went to her purse to get change, and THREW it at him. Some guy that works there, then approached them, my brother told him what happened, and said they need to work on their customer service! The guy got mad and told them to go somewhere else. So if you don't feel like getting ripped off and having rude staff wait on you, i suggest a different place. The 406 bar up the street is much nicer! read more

I have been to Brannigan's several times. Have had a good time every single time. Sometimes they have live music, which is fun. I always just go for beer and appetizers, which are really good, especially the planks and gravy, and the dipping sticks. You can be a little loud in there so if you go with a big group of people it is fun. St. Patty's Day there is especially fun, of course. Really like this place. read more

The food here is psuedo-authentic Irish and somewhat expensive but the atmosphere is nice. Service can be slow sometimes. I usually get the Dubliner sandwich which is small but good. The guinness gravy is so good, and I usually order a side of it to dip my fries in. There is a casino up stairs which makes dining and gambling fun. What a great new addition to Kalispell. This is by far one of the best things to happen around here (for nightlife) in quite some time. It's cute, quaint, tight, loud, and perfectly pub style like they intended. A great place to meet your friends after work for a quick drink or even try one of their euro-style themed appetizers or meals. I had the Bangers and Mash and it was everything I would have imagined it to be. The Oysters and Calamari were delish too! Every half hour or so , there is a bell that rings and that initiates the Bartender to sing an Irish jig that most of the bar has already memorized and sings along to during the chorus. Had the absolute worst service in my life. Bartender was rude and ignored me for over 15 minutes before checking to see if I was going to order food. She was more concerned with gossiping at the end of the bar. I changed my order to go because I couldn't spend my time sitting in that exceedingly negative environment. After getting my food home my sandwich was burnt to a crisp. Literally. How do you burn a Reuben sandwich ?!?! I have been here before and it wasn't much better except the food was ok . No such thing as greeting a customer in this place. No customer service either. I was treated poorly and therefore due to this experience have marked this place off my list of places to recommend to my Clients. read more

Corned beef and cabbage. Veggies under cooked Crunchy steamed potatos. Everything needed a lot of salt including the corned beef which tasted like it was roasted yesterday and thrown into boiling water to make it to the table. I had a full barely touched plate when I paid my bill and the waiter didn't even ask me if I had a problem with my meal. Super disappointed since the a few other things I've had were spot on. Yet another disappointment. Really have given this place chance after chance after so many disappointing times. My fiancé is from Ireland and I have been a dozen times myself and this place is an embarrassment to all the real Irish pubs. It all boils down to extremely poor service. We arrived at 10:40 on a Saturday night to be shot dirty looks by the staff and told that they, "Gave their friends," in the corner last call ten minutes earlier. 30 minutes before closing time. This is the third time we have shown up well in advance of "closing time" to be turned away and treated poorly. The food is not good. Guinness should revoke their rights, and this place is a must miss! read more

This Irish Pub knows how to prepare and cook food. The grand loaf with mashed potatoes, and green beans is phenomenal. Their Ruben sandwich has shaved corn beef, delish!!! The potato soup is creamy with bacon and lots of potatoes. We were passing thru. Sure glad we stop for dinner and s cold one. read more

Accidentally discovered the second story first. Good thing, it was quiet with immediate available seating. The appetizers were more than enough for all in our party of 7 and very good. Have passed by this place for quite awhile - won't do it again. To top it off, our bartender/server recited a poem by Yates for our listening pleasure. read more

We arrived and sat out on the deck, which was fantastic! Ordered the Dippin' Sticks to start and they might be the best little appetizer I've had in a while. Mom ordered a sandwich special, which she said was good, and I ordered the Shepard's Pie....WOW! Ate the whole plate full. Fresh green beans, yummy chunks of potatoes, and ground sirloin among awesome mashed potatoes. Would definitely order again. We did not try any of the beers, although I will be back to do so. The atmosphere and service were great. Recommend if you're in Kalispell! read more

Great afternoon lunch on a cold snowy afternoon. Relaxing atmosphere with many tables full of patrons. Reuben and Shepherds Pie seemed to be the favorites. I had the pie and would come back again if ever passing through the area. read more

I have long been a fanatic about Reuben's and I try them out at every place I possibly can, from all different states. I have to say, Brannigan's has something special going on back there because I haven't tasted one as good yet! The Bangers are also great and super filling. Great find in downtown Kalispell, recommended by the guy at the liquor store next door. Pasties off the appetizer menu made a great lunch with a side of mash. My girlfriend had the seasonal sandwich special...shaved ham with melted Havarti on a soft pretzel roll. All was hot and filling, just as a good Irish meal should be! read more

This is easily my favorite place to eat in Kalispell! The atmosphere is great, the staff is amazing and the food is to die for (and reasonably priced)! Anything you order tastes great with a Smithwick's...but I recommend the black & tan onion rings or the pretzel bites for a starter. read more

Live music on a Wednesday night! Great Irish pub! Rustic and cozy! Sat at the bar and had two Irish Death beers, which were delicious. Smoked salmon dip I would give 4 out of 5 stars, but I am really picky about fish. I was really happy that it wasn't too salty, as I usually find smoked salmon to be. I had the braised green salad, trying to be healthy, but I wish I had gotten the turkey sandwich on a pretzel roll. I'm kicking myself for not trying the planks, which are french fries with garlic and chives. My brother said the meatloaf was the best he ever had. The green beans that came with it looked super fresh and I was a little bit jealous. I would definitely come back based on ambiance alone, even just for a couple beers. read more

Visited Brannigans after the Spartan beast and guineas burped record. Yay free beer. They were pretty busy, but our service was sub-par and the food was really bad. I asked for water several times and never received any. They put what they call flatbread under the steak. It looks like the thing when you buy raw meat at the store/soggy diaper. My mother tried the seafood dish and it was way too spicy which overpowered the seafood. When I asked about the diaper under the meat the server told me its so the meat didn't move on the plate...hmmm does the kitchen underestimate their servers ability to carry a plate flat? Yay, I'm a fan. Would have given it 5 stars, but the place is often so crowded/noisy that I go elsewhere. Guess some people like shoulder to shoulder crowds, but I'm not that person. Otherwise, this is the pub for Irish, for pub food, and for hanging with friends. read more

We like to cruise in for and Irish Death beer. They have the essential Irish drinks and fare. I really enjoy their bangers and mash. Tip: They have an upstairs if you are looking for a seat if it's busy. read more
