You will see buffaloes roaming outside the golf course in some areas. Don't worry there is a fence so the buffaloes do not get too close. This course is surrounded by other golf courses including Payne Valley golf course, Tiger Woods only course designed by him. The green fee is expensive about $200 per player but one course you need to add to your bucket list.

We…read morelucked out and had perfect weather, sunny sky and mid 60s to low 70s temp in late October round. We had a blast! We would have enjoyed our round more if we didn't have a forecaddie. A young guy named Ski followed us around in a cart playing loud music and getting drunk, flirting with the cart lady, and arguing with my friend about club selection. For example, Ski insisted my friend lay up on par 5 second shot from 220 yards rather than go for the green. He did not clean our clubs or balls. He did not rake the trap after sand shots. He was highly unprofessional, more of a nuisance than a helpful caddy. At the end of the round he harassed us for not giving him a big enough tip. I'm also pretty sure he took my $550 Bushnell rangefinder (that had my name and phone number on it) that I had attached to my cart. Skip the forecaddie at Payne's Valley and enjoy an incredible golf experience.

The course itself is well maintained and the views are stunning! They have snacks when you've finished your first nine, which was fun, and for us much needed!! If you like a challenge on the golf course and you don't mind losing some golf balls, this is your place!!

The course is not for the weak, though. It is very challenging. Several fairways are wide and forgiving, but for the most part you have to battle to keep the ball in the fairway. The lies you'll get in the rough are very hit or miss. You could find your ball right away and have a decent lie. Or you could look for your ball for a few minutes, finally find it and pray you get out. Overall, a gorgeous course and can be a ton of fun if you let it. The clubhouse, part way houses, and halfway house are incredible. They're like mini Bass Pro Shops - extremely well built, attention to detail, and just straight up cool. Cool to look at, cool to walk in. At the halfway house there is complimentary snacks, Bison hotdogs, even Snickers ice cream bars. The putting green, driving range and short game greens are in amazing shape. The staff couldn't have been more hospitable. All of this sits perched up on top of a few mountains in the Ozarks with an tremendous view. You can see Branson, you can see past Branson. You could probably see Springfield if it was possible. I've played my fair amount of courses, but these courses that Big Cedar and Johnny Morris have to offer are nothing short of incredible. 20/10. You will not be disappointed!

Most of the holes were extremely similar and there weren't many thematic elements. It seemed to have been made on a lower budget than all the others in the area. The restaurant/mini golf combo was a cool idea, although the food is very pricey for concession stand food. The workers were all very friendly and it was nice to be on a course that was pretty empty versus the crowded courses we saw on the way. I would not choose this location again because it was not that entertaining or unique and had very little shade.

In Branson, MO? It's all about Jesus and mini-golf. Professor Hacker's Dinosaur Canyon (I'm calling it "Dino Canyon" from now on) is one such contribution to the putt-puttian zeitgeist, and it is a hoot. Its name is half-right; while there is no canyon (but there is a rad volcano thing, it is riddled with dinosaurs, most being extremely, lovably derpy. If you dig a leisurely stroll through campy terrain, you'll love Dino Canyon. The golf itself is nice but not exceptional. Sadly, the dinos are mere window-dressing, not actually incorporated into the holes themselves. There are two courses: Raptor and T-Rex. We chose T-Rex as we were promised stairs and a slightly more challenging course. I wouldn't call it a challenge (we scored 49 to 47 on 18 holes), but it is nice and fun and we'll-designed. The price is pretty swell. A game for two adults is about $25, and if you keep the scorecard you can play the other course for $5.50 each. Also, a hole in one earns you a free game! Heck yeah. The bathrooms, holy smokes. So clean. Seriously, hold it 'til you get there. You'll be glad you did. If you're in Branson, don't go to a show. Go to Dino Canyon.

My only complaint is the go carts had a slow mode on one of the curves which is good for younger kids and if there is a lot of people on the track. But over all it was a good experience and we would go again!
