I came to this restaurant to check out the food before some out-of-state family was coming to town. I wanted to bring them someplace different. I sat in the dining room and had a burger. There seemed to be some regulars sitting around the bar. The food was average. I went at an off time so there weren't many people present so I can't rate the atmosphere. read more

Went there for lunch. Sat at the bar for 5-7 minutes before the bartender acknowledged me. Ordered wing lunch special n it took 25 minutes to come out. Spent most of my hour break waiting to eat. By the time the food got to me it was about time for me to head back to work. The food was "blah". read more

This place has a great neighborhood grill and bar feel. Some people feel, "wings are wings", and they settle for the franchise type chicken wings you can get anytime anywhere. For me, I prefer local spots, a "hole in the wall" if you will, with signature style wings. This place had those. They separate their wings into "wet" and "dry". I tried the Parmesan Garlic (which had actual minced garlic with grated Parmesan mixed into it and basted on the plump jumbo wings. It was amazing! I also tried the tomato salad since I'm a huge tomato fan. It had red onions, Gorgonzola cheese and perfectly ripened large tomatoes. The restaurant was clean and the service was great with very caring and attentive wait staff. We plan on coming again soon. read more

Really yummy food for a bar, also versatile menu! They start you off with some warm bread and olive oil for dipping. I had the crab cake sandwich on ciabatta which was a bit dry, but tasty. My boyfriend had the Mahi Mahi sandwich on whole grain which super fresh and flaky. I chose French fries which was a mistake because they were super greasy. I should have stuck to the salad. All in all, good experience especially for late night food. Would return for sure! read more

I used to come here religiously about a year ago & I get the same blackened chicken pasta w a side of garlic bread everytime. Now that I've moved back in town I decided to order take out tonight. Super disappointed. Everything is bland & the chicken wasn't blackened. The "garlic" bread is just stale bread with butter & oil on the side. 3/23/16- Cool place to grab a quick drink, maybe a few apps and dance a little. We came here after going to a hockey game at the Palm Beach Skate Zone since it was so close. It's in a strip plaza with plenty of parking. We walked in and sat on a table by the bar. Our waitress came right away and took our order. I ordered Rum & Coke which was just right. They have an extensive menu but we just ordered their LOADED MONKEYCHIPS with gorgonzola cheese, bacon bits, bruschetta tomatoes and sour cream ($6.99). Plenty for a few people. Thinly cut potato slices, fried, very crispy. Loved the gorgonzola on them. Lucky for us, they had an awesome live DJ, who knew? Plus plenty of TV's to watch all the games. This is definitely a neighborhood bar. We were having such a good time, I didn't even notice the time....11:30PM on a school night! Plus I had a 45 minute drive. The food was delicious. However, the service was HORRIBLE! The waitresses were not attentive - seemed to be rushed all the time. I asked for a second drink and she took it and refilled - not asking anyone else at the table for a refill - they had to each ask! We waited 40 minutes for our food. Then we ordered a dessert to share - bad move - another 20 minutes for ICE CREAM IN A DISH! The flavor was incorrect and when we said something, the waitress argued with us! WHAT? So this place is fascinating. It has a very interesting vibe to it. The bar is pretty spacious and it has a TouchTunes that you can play music on. However if the bartender doesn't like your persuasion of music they'll block the account. I.e. don't piss off the bartender LOL. Did not eat there but they do have a full bar menu typical of what they serve at bars. Their drinks are nothing special. The hostess should be fired!!! We ate here and the meal was okay. Never order non-pub food if you go here. My son got steak and we asked for it to be medium-well. Not pink. We got the steak and it was pink, tasteless and tough. We tried sending it back and the hostess (who was helping out the waiter) first told us that we ordered medium, not medium-well. When we told her she was wrong, she then said that the waiter entered it wrong (well, which was it? we told her medium or he entered it wrong?) And we insisted and asked for a burger instead. She reluctantly took the steak. Then the waiter came by, apologized about the steak, reaffirmed how we wanted the burger and put it in for us. Terrible service from the hostess. A little dead for a Saturday night but didn't let that bother us. We can for sports and the bar had plenty of TVs to watch. All the servers were ready to change the channel to whatever we wanted. Go Heat! During football (College & NFL) they have a solid $6 menu. Check out my pictures for proof... We had the meatball sliders (Amazing), fried zucchini (excellent), boneless wings & pretzels(slight over cooked but didn't bother us. It's a pretzel)... Also threw in some clam chowder & chili. This chili had nice chunks of tender steak. Not chewy at all. Not a great selection of local craft beers if that's what your looking for. The Brass Monkey is located right off the Turnpike and Lake Worth Road on the north side. It is in a very long strip plaza which is largely empty aside from a Publix Supermarket. Three of us arrived on a Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m. There was one other table occupied and several people on the other side of a half wall at the bar. The waitress was very attentive but she must have been new at the restaurant. She did not have knowledge of the products from the menu in detail. She did immediately go and get us the drinks we ordered, and when she came back we ordered our meal. Two of us ordered their famous Monkey Burger, 1 medium rare and one medium. The third person ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. Both burgers came out so well done that they could have been hockey pucks. My one companion never sends anything back, but I sent mine back for a redo. I just can not eat a dry burger. My new burger came out, and it was also a hockey puck. I can understand a cook overcooking something, but to overcook a redo is unbelievable. My other companion who ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, it said it was 30 seconds cooking from being too dry. He ate it anyway. Not sure if it was the manager or owner but he came by twice to apologize, and the young server was excellent. That is the reason for 2 stars. I may go back one evening because the person who recommended the place to me have never had a problem on the evening shift. Maybe a different cook? Also not thrilled with a presentation on a piece of checkerboard wax paper in a reusable plastic plate. read more

Locals definitely know about this place. We sat at the bar for Bingo night and by the end of the evening felt like we were regulars. No frills, no fuss kind of place. Bartenders were attentive while also being really busy. I think they knew everyone's order as they came up to the bar, a good sign of a great bartender at a "locals" spot. Only ordered Monkey Chips but everything else looked delicious with so many people taking home their leftovers. Food was piled high on plates and certainly hot and fresh! We went to Brass Monkey after a round of golf in a nearby course around two PM. This is a local casual dining and sports bar in Lake Worth. We were sited quickly by a very attentive staff. Beers and drinks flow fast and served by Melyn, our waitress with a smile! Some of us had the Friday's Fish Fry - an 10 oz. Haddock filet with French flies, coleslaw and a cup of New England Clam Chowder. The filets were fresh and the chowder are tasty! Other members had Caesar salad with and without grilled chicken, Monkey Burger - burger with ham, bacon cheddar, onion and mushroom, and grilled Ahi Tuna. I've been coming to this local restaurant for some time, born and raised in west palm beach. Yesterday I took my family to eat there. First the service was pretty slow as I had to flag down a wait staff to serve my grandson daughter and I. I shrugged it off, figured they were short staffed. But after we left we had terrible stomach pains. It continued for the rest of the night. I was in such agony, but the worse was to see my grandson and daughter suffering too. It depends on who you are on whether you will like this place. If you are a older middle aged guy-y guy, then you will probably love this place. Beer, wings, it has everything you are looking for. It looks like it is ancient, as ancient maybe as the people that frequent it...and I mean regularly. The food is decent, and the service is great. I went to the Brass Monkey recently with a group of friends to play pool. They have two tables. The main table is terrible, the pool table lights are 3 different shades and are not centered! One entire side is in darkness. The food is usually very good but two of us ordered burgers done medium and they had to be sent back because they were burnt. They did bring new burgers out and they were perfect. The wait staff are all very nice and accommodating. I really hope they fix the pool table lighting. read more

Lot's of home made items. Great soups, great prime and lots of interesting seafood offerings.
