He set the mood immediately with candles and a selection of French music- we chose Barbara...smooth French singer. Oh how soothing. The wine he choose for us - deep, red, regional. The food, fresh, high quality and with flexible options between the 8 requests to make each crepe unique. Delicious. We had the 28 Euro menu and found 3 of our items were not fresh, but frozen and heated. The chocolate tart dessert was industrially made. The service was very slow. It was very disappointing experience considering we paid over 100 Euros for 3 people for lunch. In summary, the Trattoria in Autun is very much a tourist trap, avoid at all costs. The beef was everything my husband hoped for. My mashed potatoes were great, the salad came with a delicious mustard dressing (okay so we are only an hour away from Dijon) and the numerous scallops came in a yummy cream sauce. There were several local wines to choose from on their extensive menu and you are steps away from the cathedral and the archaeology/art museum.
