Deep had a few tables occupied and the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves, which I thought was a good sign and decided to try my luck. Although I couldn't understand any of the menu, I'm happy I stayed and tried to use my skills to order a traditional Turkish breakfast. At only 12 TL my platter included cheeses, sliced meat, tomatoes, cucumbers, marmalade and bread. It was all delicious! That priced also included a hot cup of tea. If you're looking for an authentic experience at a great price tag, I would highly recommend Deep!

The interior area has high ceiling and decorated with artistic photos, pictures and objects. It had comfortable armchairs. The exterior area was already enjoyable face to Cihangir square and it provides to watch the area. Lets talk about breakfast. Breakfast for two is 35 ₺. Except drinks and hot food kinds. The price might be good for Cihangir but it will be better if they determine a new price including tea. I liked very much Ezine white cheese, aged kashar cheese, cheese with walnut, fried helloumi cheese, twisted cheese. The eggs with fried meat was very good. I did not like very much the eggs with pastrami. Olive kinds were delicious and high quality. They were not too salty and cheap like meet us in other shops. Homemade fries with tomato sauce was perfect. The smoked meat and salami were yummy as charcuterie kinds. The pepper pickles with stuffed cheese were also good. Honey-clotted cream and fig jam were adequate in respect of dessert kinds. The lunch and dinner menues were also assertive in Cafe Firuz. We shared two dishes: first, the vine leaves were really good, tasty and with a slightly spicy tomato sauce: a lot of taste for vine leaves that i expected to be a bit tasteless - and it was not the case at all. On top of the preparation, there was some good Turkish yogurt and i liked the mix a lot - it was our first lunch in Istanbal and I yet had to discover how much yogurt was used in Turkish cuisine. The second dish we share was a kebab that was particularly good, with a lot of flavor: not only some grilled meat, there was a tasty preparation with it, nothing boring at all. The food was just OK, I had a sucuk and cheese omelette that they burnt somehow and some chocolate chip pancakes which weren't bad. I can say I was a little disappointed from all the hype I heard about this place. I will come back and give it another try though. The atmosphere of the place is warm, the decor is nice. Love the painting's on the wall by cafe! Once again the view to where you can watch the boats, water and look onto the other side of Istanbul which is Asia, is superb!

All that said, the food is good as is the local Turkish wine, but I really wished we had got a taxi and gone somewhere a bit more authentically local.
