Sauces to accompany meatballs in Belgium vary regionally; the pears just supply a light sweetness to a savory brown sauce - delicious and not pear-forward at all. The meatballs were juicy and pretty tender. Solid frites and a little homage to a salad rounded out the meal. Beer selection is ample/normal for a Belgian cafe. It's not a destination just for beer variety but there are good libations to pair with any dish.
