The meat was tender, the gravy on it was delicious and not too heavy, and very tasty on the spaetzle. The meat came with a side salad that I greatly enjoyed; the yogurt dressing I found on several German meals was super delicious. My partner got the Brewer's Salad, but while it was tasty with the maultaschen and sausage, he felt there was too much sweet dressing on the salad part. The beer was tasty! Once to enjoy our lunch before our hike, and again after our short hike due to the inclement weather. We had cappuccino and dessert which was excellent--like a cheese cake, but it was made of some local fresh cheese. If you're in the area, this is an excellent restaurant and brewery to visit. I tried the beer flight which consisted of three house brews and one seasonal brew. Today I tried Qualitätsbier Export, Bier-Appel unfiltered Pils, Kocherreiter Pils, and seasonal Kocherreiter Dunkel. I liked the Export and unfiltered Pils. The other two were not to my taste. The dunkel did however pair well with the three slices of dark German bread spread with schmalz, onion, and parsley. Over all a good experience and worth stopping by to try local beer brewed at a brewery in existence since 1830.
