My husband's Pork Schnitzel was excellent. My 300gram steak, terrible. Great presentation, wonderful fries/chips and excellent vegetables. The menu has pictures of how you want it, and I orginally ordered as "English" which was a step below "medium" as to the inside. When it came, it looked amazing, but when I cut into the end, it became clear that the steak was raw, with a barely warm external sear. Inside was raw, as in cold with the iron taste you get with raw meat. I asked them to redo the steak, and off it went and came back with a slightly higher temp on the outside, but exactly the same on the inside. As in no change. Game over. I cut the steak into 4 pieces, and laid them on my plate so that when the wait staff would come back, they would see exactly how raw things were. The waitress came, looked that I had not eaten the steak, and gave me a weird look when I said "I was finished". Off my dinner went, and as far as I was concerned, it was going to be consumed by the little dogs that roamed about as you eat. Imagine my surprise when the steak came back AGAIN, as if to try it one more time. Nope. Game over. Imagine my surprise when they took it away finally (to the dogs or garbage), and with a shrug, still made me pay for the $34EU for the nasty steak. Not even a discussion about taking it off our bill. I can't recommend the place. We were there when they opened, around 5pm, on a Tuesday, with no one else in the restaurant when we ordered. read more

Nicely refurbished. Pick the traditional outdoor beer garden, the more modern bright front room, or the rustic main room, although that doesn't have ideal acoustics (loud). Due to the location I prefer the place during day time rather than evenings and the lunch menu is a bargain. read more

My husband and I were only spending one night and Lauren, went on a walk we discovered this restaurant. I had the salmon and it was probably the best time I've had in my life. It was moist, yet the skin was crunchy and well seasoned. My husband had style Swiss style pork medallions with creamy mushroom sauce on top of Rosti. He practically licked the plate. How lucky for us that we stumbled upon it. read more
