A good shop but more availability online. Helpful staff though who are happy to measure and advise.

Silk suspenders See through bras…read moreBusty basques Shear babydolls Lace corsets & Whip Me stockings I am of course referring to Agent Provocateur and their eXXpensive but elegant lingerie made from the softest silks, cottons, ribbons and rubber. Alongside eye-masks, handcuffs and nipples tassles, there are also playtime accessories for the boudoir including paddles, crystal whips, latex stockings and venus flytrap playsuits. The latter costs around £150 and looks uncomfortable as hell so if you're thinking of sending me a present, I'll have the Agent Provocateur Maitresse perfume. Gentlemen thinking of buying something special for their mistresses should note, the pale pink bag is a dead give-away. Your divorce papers will be in the post before you have time to apologise to your wife!

Ahhhh, Agent Provocateur. The absolute antithesis of the scratchy lace, static-inducing nylon and…read morepositively red-light-district mesh that lines the shelves at Anne Summers. Where AS seems to think sex is about unskilled innuendo and cheap knickers, AP knows it's about seduction, confidence and quality fabrics. The knickers here are some of the most special knickers you'll find on the high street. And yes, they're a bit pricey for everyday wear, but they are absolutely the ticket for a little bit of bedroom action, and absolutely the best thing for feeling a million dollars. Fashion Friend absolutely swears by her big AP knickers (I think they're the 'Love' full brief £55 for a luscious pair of lacy shorties that make you feel like Marylin Monroe) for feeling sexy and confident, even under her work clothes. AP isn't about dressing as a saucy soldier and flashing your nylon gusset, it's about feeling like a woman, and being all the sexier for it. As well as an awesome range of naughty and nice pants, AP ramps up the raunch with a fantabulous range of stockings, including the Europa hold up in a variety of colours (bagsy blue!) for £18, and the positively heart-attack-inducing latex stockings for £75. The former, you can wear to the office or on a night out with the ladies. The latter, well if latex is your thing and you've got the pins, go for it. They actually manage to come off classy! An array of toys and accessories will dazzle you with crystal whips, and make you giggle with heart-shaped nipple tassels. There's something for everyone who wants a bit of fun in the bedroom, with a classy twist. The playsuits, as mentioned by Sarah-Jane, are a bit scary for a prude like myself. They're a confection of straps and nipple tassels, none of the Anne Summers euphemisms, they are unashamedly about shagging. And the bedroom's not just for love, it's also for sleep, so relax in the luxurious Desiree PJs (£245) or slip on a kimono (£450). You'll feel like a million dollars, especially if you use the amazing Maitresse body cream; smells divine and keeps your skin incredibly soft, because as much as AP is about dressing up all sexy-like, they know that there's one thing that's really hot: a woman who feels good in her own skin.

I hope the company behind Fat Face didn't pay a consulting company to come up with a great brand…read morename for them. Short of Thunder Thighs and Amazing Ass, I can't think of a worse name for a store. Judging by the size of their flagship Manchester store however, it hasn't done them any harm. A big retail space in St. Ann's Square, it's packed floor to ceiling with contemporary men, womens and kids clothes. Since the brand's niche is 'clothes for an active lifestyle', there's casual jeans, tees, hoodies, sweaters and accesories for each season. There's also bikinis, sneakers and trunks for swimming, cable knit jumpers and jackets for ski-ing and snowboarding and vest tops for cycling, running and rockclimbing in the summer. If I was the sporty, outdoor type, I might be tempted to try a few things on. As it is, I'm still finding it hard to get my head round the idea of wearing anything called Fat Face!

The clothes here are all about being a bit surfer-ish, without being covered in "Vans" or "Animal" or "Rip Curl" slogans. What's so great about Fat Face is that there clothes are different to almost everything else on the high street, where as clothes in Next, Gap and H&M often seem exactly the same. The staff in Fat Face are cool and friendly, and the shop has a nice, relaxed vibe. If you're a Fat Face fan, pay a visit to this flagship Manchester store. There's two floors packed with all the great Fat Face clothes you could want.

Sounds like a bargain right? Well in life you get what you paid for: my clothes felt like trash. The fit was sooo awkward and as I went through trying each item with the flimsy cheap material it was made of, I grew more and more sad. I'm all for trendy clothes, but pay a little bit more but not only was the material bad, the fit was absolutely terrible. Also they own Nasty Gal, so I won't even bother trying to shop from there!

On the website, it said to contact customer service via iMessage, Instagram DM, or Facebook DM (which is weird). I contacted them in all 3 of those ways and only ever got an AI bot response saying somebody would contact me. Nobody ever did (that was over a month ago). I figured it was a fluke, one-time mistake, but when my second order arrived it was ALSO a completely different order (it was boohoo men's items). Again, I contacted customer service in the 3 ways listed on the website and never received a response. I disputed the charges on PayPal and eventually got most of my money back from PayPal, but I had to pay for the return shipping for both packages (even though it wasn't my fault they sent me the incorrect order TWICE). I'll never order from them again.
