The staff were very helpful to guide me through the best options for my taste and dietary requirements. I chose the Earth Bowl, but not the slow egg. I had a plain poached egg. It was served very nicely with generous rocket, some roasted cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini and carrot. It would have had hummus but I swapped that out for basil oil. It was a nice lunch. I'd come again as the things other diners had liked great too.

One platter arrived after 35' wait. Service was poor and quick to excuse delays "There's only one person working in the kitchen today!" as if that was acceptable. Salmon quiche was made yesterday, and the pastry was not fresh. Tarte Tatin was nice, but served with aerosol cream, and too little of it (see their own photo above). The food is expensive, and they act a bit Frenchy-snobbish. Would not go back. Simon R

On the whole, things from the cabinet are immediate but things to be warmed up or created in the kitchen can take some time. Coffee is very good. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again. The crepe was beautifully cooked with a slight crisp on the edges, and the fruit (strawberries, kiwis and bananas) were all served fresh alongside whipped cream. For our savory dish, we ordered the mixed platter with in house smoked salmon, green lipped mussels, fries and mesclun salad which we devoured in under 5 minutes. All in all, this meal was the highlight of our day in Wellington and we'd happily come back if given the chance. BONUS: Free WiFi

The service isn't all that fast but who cares, the staff are friendly and passionate enough about French regional cuisine to make up for it! It was the perfect spot for a lunch-time catch up with my sis-in-law who works for Adventure Travel across the road! It wasn't easy making a decision, we couldn't decide if we wanted to embark on a quick escape to Burgundy via the Beef Bourguignon or take a trip to the French Alps via the Gratin Dauphinois! In the end, we settled for neither and opted for steaming, hot bowls of authentic French onion soup, most generously topped with the grilled, gooey goodness of Gruyere cheese! From there, we journeyed onto the Western point of Brittany via their famous galettes! With over seven options to choose from, the crepes definitely rule this place!
