I've been a regular here for lunch for years. I've easily ordered 100+ salads. Lately the people working here don't give you any attention and just make online orders. I've had to wait 5-10 minutes without anyone in line for them to put dressing on my salad so I can checkout. Very clean location, even after they got hit for rush hour. If you've never seen their lines for lunch, they are INSANE. So if you can, visit outside of 11am-2pm on weekdays for a more relaxed environment. It's conveniently placed at the corner of Main St & Field in Downtown Dallas. I tried Bread Zeppelin just the other day and absolutely devoured my Southwest Zeppelin. You can choose to be boring and get your average salad in a bowl or you can be adventurous and try their salad stuffed in a 'hollowed out' fresh baked artisan baguette. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. I will say that the customer service wasn't exactly the greatest, which is a shame because that plays a big part in repeat customers. Walked in like, "Yaaass!" This place is so rad I can't stop talking about it. They take a salad (Pacific Beach w/ Greek is my fave), chop it up, and then shove it in a hollowed out TOASTED French baguette. There is nothing short of a sandwich miracles happening up in here. The baguette is warm and flakey and since it's been hollowed out, you don't feel like you're eating a ton of bread. That's usually my bone to pick with sandwiches (too much bread and not enough insides) but not here! Love love love. Everyone who works here is so nice and helpful. Each team member has gone above and beyond to help me find a killer zeppelin combo. They are very careful and take time to make sure they add just enough of whatever you want. Side note: some of them were actually so careful it made me think that maybe they had dealt with a difficult customer who got upset with them... Then I saw this woman in line hold up her perfect salad and inspect it like a dirty sock she just found on the floor and make some complaint about how it didn't look the same as she ordered it last time. Her tone was harsh and criticizing. Her body language was stubborn and rude. Please everyone be nice to these beautiful sandwich angels behind the counter! I promise that they will do everything they can to make you the most perfect lunch. We could all use a little more kindness in our day and that can only start with ourselves. Was very unhappy with my experience. As I bit into my steak sandwich, my two front teeth almost cracked in half. I suddenly thought it was a bone but it took me a whiLe to realize it was a VERY LARGE hardened piece of bread that they Makkah from scratch when they take out the middle of the bread. Published hours need to be revised to reflect their actual closing time of sometime between ~8:40 and 8:50PM, or whenever the employees have decided they don't feel like working anymore. At 8:53 on Saturday, June 30, when I arrived, hoping to quickly grab something to go, the doors were locked, the chairs were stacked, and the three employees inside were standing behind the counter socializing. Not a great look. I would never presume to: 1. Show up at a sit down restaurant 7 minutes before close and be allowed to order, or 2. Understand the struggle of working all afternoon at minimum wage all the way until 9pm on a Saturday. Those things having been said, this is a fast food restaurant, not a sit down restaurant, and the hours are what they are. Either stick to your published hours, or advertise the fact that you close whenever you feel like it. Pick one. read more

So I'm in town for a conference and I was looking for a fast food place where I could get a quick salad. I passed by this place called Bread Zeppelin because of the "bread" part - I'm gluten intolerant. But then something caught my eye about their salads so I wandered in. Their signature thing is salad in bread, but they also do all sorts of salads without any bread. The salad I had was just excellent! All ingredients were fresh and tasty but I think it was their unique preparation of the salad that made it taste so great. I decided today this could be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! This is the second time I've had the Nola (iceberg lettuce, fried shrimp, tomato, onion, pickle, provolone) and getting it in the Zeppelin is a must. Very tasty and crunchy and still hot, it was awesome. We went at 12:30pm at peak lunch time, the line was definitely long but we moved through it in 10 mins. It's a very efficient operation with probably 5-6 prep stations set up, I was very impressed. For a fast downtown lunch option, this is the best around right now! I have been to Bread Zepplin twice now! The first time it was super packed, but the service was so fast! Very friendly in regards to questions about your zepplin and it getting it to your taste. I had the Zepplin that has turkey cranberriess and crunchy walnuts in it! It was so good I got it a second time!!! The bread is fresh and delicious, they hollow out the bread and stuff the salad inside the sandwhich. Must try! Great place for a fast, tasty, healthy lil ole lunch. I will be back! read more

I was honestly angry about it because the lunch line was so long and I was trying to make my coins girl! .....but seeing how long the line was, I decided to check out the menu, (which was very reasonably priced) to research what I was expected to order for my customer..... zeppelins....never heard of them, so I had to try one, and see what all the fuss was about,...I was about to head to my regular job anyway, so...what the hell right?? ‍‍ Best thing I ever did!!!! Worst dinning experience I've had in a very long long time. The entire staff was unhelpful and rude! They were talking crap about the customers including myself! They had locked the side door at 7pm, then when a customer was trying to leave they just stood there and talked about her. I got up and unlocked the door so the customer could leave. Then as soon as she walked out the door one of the girls who worked there locked the door again. I asked what time they closed and why she was locking the door. She yelled at me they close at 9! Then she stormed off. Then another customer was trying to use the door so again I unlocked it for her. The same girl tells one of the guys there that if she was off she would take care of me! This is the kind of people that Bread Zeppelin hired? This place needs a complete overhaul from the owner down to the last employee. I will never be coming back to this location! read more

I ordered the pacific coast in a bowl (I bet in bread it would have been better) I ordered champagne vinaigrette with chicken, but this salad was chopped up so much that it was flavorless. I was looking for the zing of artichoke hearts and vinegar, but it just didn't work for me. This is a great place to eat lunch. The idea of stuffing a salad into a hot crunchy roll is awesome. This is a great place, but if you come during lunch there will be a long line. Make sure to ask for the insides (the inside of the bread), then you can sop that soft bread up with a cup of soup which is also excellent.
