A friend recommended this place for a quick bite to eat. And this concept of a salad in a bread was so delicious. I created my own Zepelin; mixed lettuce, and( you choose 4-veggies ) roasted peppers, carrots, corn, black beans, (1-protein) avocado, (1- crunch) tortilla strips, tossed in Chipotle ranch dressing. It was so delicious. I went at noon during lunch time, and the line was a little long but it goes by quick. The restaurant has an assembly line going on so service is quick. It was my first time here and I was a little overwhelmed with the concept and choices because I didn't want to slow down the line but I familiarized myself with my vegetable options online and the employees are also very friendly and helpful in guiding you with your salad creation. read more

I ordered a Build Your own salad. You would think this was easy. The young man chopping the salad was more interested in his friends sitting down and asked me what time I had. I happily told him 3:40pm. Then he proceeded to chop my salad with enthusiasm. Some of the pieces flying outside of the chopping area and landing on the grill. He then took the pieces and put them back in with the other ingredients being chopped. The best part was when I asked for simple olive oil and fresh squeezed Lemmon. Simple right? The young man brought the Lemmon from the back and asked me if I wanted to squeeze it myself. I said he could do it. He then told me "this is the last time". His manager told him to tell me they don't provide fresh squeezed Lemmon. I will never return ever. I would gladly go to Snappy Salads, Central Market, Whole Foods or any other place. They gladly add Lemmon squeezed and they are so much cleaner ! read more

This is a great concept, and I thought it was a good value for the money. Based on my one visit, I'd say they could stand to do a little more analysis of their procedures and execution to cut down on unnecessary movements and interruptions of process. It was the middle of the afternoon when I visited, so it wasn't that busy, but it was still kind of a cluster and things were hanging up and not really getting out of first gear. For instance, the cashier had to print out a receipt, meander her way all the way to the opposite end of the prep line to post the receipt to that wall, then meander her way back through the rest of the crew, while I stood at the register with my salad in hand, waiting to pay... Seriously? That was really more important? If it was, and that's a recurring situation, install a printer down there so you can keep the register and the line moving. read more

Love it!!!! The restaurant is clean and inviting. The staff is friendly and efficient. If there's a line, don't let it scare you off, it moves quickly and the staff takes time to explain how things work and let you sample things. And that's done with a smile!!! I've been there twice and had two different zeppelins and both of them were outstanding. The sandwich is a combination of warm, crusty, tasty bread stuffed with a delicious, freshly made salad. You can choose one of their salad combos or make your own; the selection of fresh ingredients and dressings are amazing. I am so glad Bread Zeppelin came to downtown Dallas. I'll be there often. I've been to this location a few times but after seeing the line I decided to order online for my next meal. I was given an arrival time and ended up getting there about 15 minuets afterwards to pickup my food. The person at the counter told us she didn't have an order even after we provided our receipt. A person took the phone and started to make the order never explaining what was happening. While we waited I asked for a cup to get something to drink. Once they completed out meal (with no apology) the woman told me "that is a water cup and the next time I come I better get water or she'd charge me". I had absolutely no issue paying for a drink but the woman became snappy and rude. I asked to speak to the manager to receive the response "I am the manager". I told her we were inconvenienced, they never explained what the issues was and she told us "I fixed it didn't I?" and that the issue "wasn't her fault". This all transpired in the middle of rush lunch hour with several onlookers. I advised I would contact corporate (who NEVER called back) to her response "fine and she could careless if we ever came back". I've never been so disrespected in my life! The food is great but the service was TERRIBLE. Not at all worth being treated like trash to enjoy a good meal. I'll pass!!! read more
