When I walked in, I stepped on some jam on the floor. I know restaurants can get dirty but the floor was a mess. The server was friendly and kindly answered all my questions about the food. I am a fan a Mexican breakfast, so naturally I ordered the chilaquiles and added carne asada for $6 more. Unfortunately the chili was super dry and lacked sauce, and I was served two tablespoons of tender carne asada. For $6, I certainly was expecting more meat. However, the bottomless coffee was great! Went to breakfast with my girlfriends. We had a spectacular experience. The food was delicious! We started with a pancake flight! Tried the oreo pancakes, churro, and strawberry cheesecake. All were divine. My favorite was the strawberry cheesecake one but they were all very good. Service was excellent. Anthony Perez was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and a great host. We will definitely be returning. We felt welcome and the ambiance was perfect. I highly recommend this place. Cafe de olla was on point! They also have micheladas that are very good. Declined the potatoes and toast and skipped the bloody mary due to my last experience, but sampled the potatoes and observed the toast from my dining partner's plate. Positives: Entrees were still good (Traditional Eggs Benedict and Portugese sausage omelet). Potatoes have improved from last visit. Servers were friendly. Homemade ketchup was great. Even bought a bottle to bring home. Negatives: Iced tea has not improved. Still very weak. Toast has not improved. Was burned. Service was chaotic. Waited 15 minutes at our table before getting up and retrieving our own menus and had to flag a server down for service. Multiple servers then came by which got confusing--it became a who's on first situation. The restaurant was not full. Based on the reviews, people seem to like this place, and I would like to also. It's my first in this location but have been to their west hollywood spot. This location is relatively smaller than their other store location. I came for a Saturday brunch and was met by Christopher Walken, an old host. I chose to seat on their corner table outdoor patio. I ordered their Veggie + Pesto Frittata, bread, an OJ and water. I thought the food tastes good as well as their baby OJ. Service was slow despite being not crowded. Atmosphere was banal. Staff were polite, competent and professional especially Mikaela. Prices were a little bit high which doesn't match the food/drink portion. Furthermore, there is an automatic 4% surcharge (excluding tip) on top of your bill. Customers be aware. I still tipped just because that's how servers get their income. Finding an open Parking in the area is arduous. Overall, it's a decent spot for brunch. I'm nebulous if I'm gonna return back albeit I still recommend them. read more

Recommend the Peanut butter & strawberry mascarpone. We ordered the Chilaquiles with carne asada & avocado as an add-on, and even though they were quite FLAVORFUL I was disappointed on the quantity of carne asada they added. It was like a tablespoon amount . My husband saw the breakfast burrito pass him by & it looked mouthwatering. He had to TRY it & we were not disappointed, it was DELECTABLE! Saw this place in the area and decided to check it out. This might be my new go to brunch / breakfast spot. Besides serving all the classics, they have their own twists making the dishes fun and unique! The chilaquiles were my favorite, the sauce had a small lick of spice which paired well with the eggs and asada. And for our sweet tooth we received the Mr.Preseley French toast which had an amazing texture and flavor. We didn't order any drinks so we will be back to try those. The manager was very friendly and made sure we all enjoyed our food and were satisfied with everything. There is a small parking lot in the back, besides street parking. And the prices are extremely reasonable for the portion you get. They also had a lot of funding going towards the community, such as the palisades fires which was good to know that we are supporting the right businesses! read more

I came here today with colleagues after a work event and left extremely disappointed. I ordered the avocado toast, which was priced at $14, it arrived exactly as the photo I attached. One singular VERY small slice of toast on a nearly empty plate. This is absolutely not a meal. What made it more frustrating was that it cost more than the full stack of pancakes my colleague ordered. If they're only going to serve a single slice, you would expect it to at least be substantial. Instead, it was gone in about five bites. Because I was with work colleagues, I didn't feel comfortable raising the issue with the server because it didn't seem professional in that setting. To make matters worse, my peers were asking if that was "all I was going to eat," assuming I had ordered a side. When I responded I expected it to be larger, my co-workers offered to cover the cost of my meal because they felt bad that I had clearly been shorted. It was honestly embarrassing. I paid for it myself, of course, but $14 for what amounted to a few bites of toast is unreasonable. I would not recommend this dish and am surprised they would serve something so small at that price point. Now my finishing my day at work... still hungry. read more

There was a couple next to me enjoying and sharing the experince with an employee and got their recommendations, he said the Eggs Benedict was delicious. Didn't complain so much because we did pick first available seating, but it was those HUGE flies that hang around garbage bins so that was a lil unsettling. A lot of the chairs and tables were wobbly, so that was a little annoying. I got the chilaquiles and it was okay, I had asked for carne steak and was surprised to see how little they give for the price ($6!). I took one bite and pushed the plate away. The pineapple upside down pancakes were simple pancakes with pineapple bits on top. No brown sugar. To be seen or tasted. The menu description said the pancakes included pineapple whipped butter and some sort of brown sugar. I hate to disappoint you all but it was regular butter and no brown sugar anywhere in sight. The basis for pineapple upside down cake is brown sugar!!!! I was really looking forward to the Jurassic bacon. When it arrived it was swimming in grease. I had to ask for napkins to absorb the grease. That plate touched at minimum 2 hands before it arrived at my table. I can't imagine that it passed the quality control test. We also ordered eggs with cheese. The eggs arrived with cheese thrown on top. Not melted or close to being melted. Breakfast republic do better! Get on Pinterest and update these recipes!
