They even have different types featured throughout the year (massage, acupuncture, sound bath, etc.). Also the instructors are so helpful and very passionate. Today I tried their Infrared Sauna, and it was amazing! If you get a massage or attend a yoga class, you get a discount on using the sauna so that is a huge bonus. I have tried different saunas before and had trouble breathing, but that wasn't the case with this infrared sauna. I'll definitely be using it for this upcoming winter!

I'm not really a yoga fan for some reason. I think I get too antsy when I do it and just want to…read morebounce and flop around. Moksha is different because it is hot. The room is so warm that you sweat like crazy, actually detoxifying your entire body. This aspect of the yoga makes it more challenging and easier for me to concentrate. I like the schedules they have because it's usually available to anyone's schedule. I you have free time during the week I recommend going then; the weekends are just too busy. I went on a Saturday once and the entire room was full. It was so full that I couldn't even stretch out all the way without hitting someone. The dude behind me touched my foot because we were so packed. The instructors here are great. They are very informative and helpful. If you're doing something wrong they will correct you. One instructor in particular, Melissa, is cool because, in the more awkward poses, she asks if it's alright that she moves you. I liked the respect that she's showing when she does this. Just a quick tid bit. Ladies, don't be afraid to change in front of each other... and stop taking up the toilets to change your clothes! Some of us really need to pee after drinking 1.5 litres of water in an hour. If you're just looking to increase your exercise a bit, maybe try going once or twice a week. That means that buying a whole month isn't really worth it. Unless you plan on going more than three times every week, the monthly pass isn't worth it. I stick to one to two times a week, since it's quite a work-out and my muscles usually hurt the next day.

One thing I wish they did though was post which instructor was teaching which class. While the majority of the instructors here are amazing, everybody has a different personality and some people jive better than others. Overall though, a great place to sweat it out!

I expect this is done to discourage people from actually seeking a refund, and seems like an incredibly outdated practice. I've never experienced any other kind of vendor that doesn't refund over the phone.

I like to workout. I…read moremean "I'm a gym rat" kind of work out. If I could live at the gym I would. It's what happens when you lose a lot of weight and actually come to realize you like doing crazy things like run marathons, complete triathlons and lift heavy stuff. As a newer member to CGC I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the set up. The cost is reasonable too at about $50/month for a year membership. I haven't taken any classes so I can't vouch for that portion of the gym but I do hang out upstairs in the cardio room quite a bit and so far so good. They tell me it's not too busy during the morning/day. As of yet I've never had to wait for a treadmill. When it is feeling a little "packed" I'll go run laps on the indoor track. It's a great way to get in some nice cross training in between some push ups or perfecting the pull-up. My favorite part about CGC is the pool(s). Olympic standard size and as of yet never too busy to not get a lane. Instead of chloride as standard chemical cleaner they use bromide (much gentler on the skin). Locker rooms (both wet and dry options) are spacious. Lockers themselves are big for that over stuffed gym bag. Showers are kind of funky but once you get the hang of them they're not too bad. And while I don't frequent Subway, it's very convenient to be able to grab a little nosh on the way out.

TIP: judging by how many people have arrived using Groupon's... I'm thinking they frequently have promotions on there. What I don't like of the place is that the classes are 75% towards gentle or restorative yoga of sorts. Which is fine, but I only do these 1 or maximum 2 a week. I like the sweaty & strength classes! They used to have power yoga, hot yoga, summer body yoga!! Now the only workout classes are pilates (offered Mondays), Piyo (offered Mondays) or flow (offered 3 times a week). Furthermore, I think most of the classes are restorative because the place is geared towards an older demographic. Pilates usually only has a couple of us attend whereas the restorative classes are always full. The space is beautiful and they have free use of props... but once my month is up... i'll be looking for a new place. =(

I was greeted by Mattie who was charming & extremely knowledgeable & Helpful. She is arranging all the paperwork for me and offered me a tour of the premises. All that is left for me to do is drop in and pay for the membership. I would rate my experience with Mattie 5*....could not have been more helpful! Thank You Mattie!
