Fun experience! We've been to Breck a few times but never made it to the distillery. We decided to go during the city's first Wildflower Festival - they had specialty cocktails inspired by wildflowers throughout the week in July. The Airport Road location is huge - lots of indoor seating as well as a huge back patio with a stage for live music. The aesthetics were nice - cool looking at all the barrels lined up around the patio. Also, their happy hour was awesome. Two of us got $10 Beekeeper's Buzz cocktails, one of us got the brown butter-washed cocktail, and then a Wild About Huckleberries cocktail. All were delicious! The BB was nice and light with the honey whiskey - LOVED their honey whiskey. (That was another cool part - the distillery has a huge tasting section at the front and you can taste up to two spirits for free, then pay extra to taste some of their higher end products). The Rogue Planet, with the brown butter washed bourbon and tart cherry, was the star of the cocktails - absolutely delicious! Would come back for a happy hour. read more

We brought a few friends visiting us to Breckenridge Distillery and had a good experience. They have a 9mo baby and we were skeptical as to if a distillery would be able to accommodate us - to our surprise, they accommodate babies and dogs both! Staff is very friendly. We got a few drinks - I tried the tickle pickle and actually liked it. My husband and friend got the obi-wan old fashioned and they liked their drink too. For food, we got the smash burger and the dak mi sandwich, burger was good, dak mi was a bit on the tangier side. Overall good I would say. The ambiance is very Star Wars inspired which was nice. Breckenridge Distillery was one of the highlights of our trip. The property is cozy and rustic, with a bit of a Star Wars vibe. From the moment we walked in, everyone made us feel welcome. The staff genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do, and it felt more like a family than just a workplace. The tour was affordable, and I learned a lot about the distilling process. The tastings? Obi-Wan Kenobi Jedi Mastery level. We decided to stay for lunch, and the experience just kept getting better. Great happy hour Tasty food and great service Local favorite My parents live in Breck and this is one of our favorite restaurants. It's always a treat to come. Supposedly the head chef has changed recently and has made questionable choices regarding the ribs lately, but all-in-all we've never had a dish that wasn't very tasty. My family typically goes for happy hour and I usually decide on the smash burger, which is delicious. During happy hour the prices are reasonable, especially for Breck. They have very neat pop culture-incorporated drinks which are very cool. Inside is a nice vibe, I thoroughly enjoy their tall ceiling, but my family usually sits outside, especially if the weather is good and if they have live music. The live music is a nice touch, supporting and giving opportunities for local musicians. Even details as little as having corn hole is anice. The cherry on top is how great the service is. The waiters/waitresses are always attentive and very friendly, and we've conversed with some of them so much we know them by name. Five star for me is very rare, but if I could give them a 4.5 star I would. read more

Stopped here for a quick liquor tasting during our fat tire bike tour through Ridden in Breckenridge. I was very impressed with their selection of whiskey. Absolutely delicious, some of the best American made whiskey I've had to date. They even have some peated whiskey that tastes like a good Scotch. Fantastic! A gem in Breck! How this place isn't a top recommend in Breck can only be because it's not right on Main St or in the Village. Let the tourists have those places, but a short drive down Airport Road north of City Market and you'll find a place with a great vibe, outstanding menu, and myriad bevos (both NA and leaded) with alcohol made in house. We loved it! Rod was a great server, and his partners making sure waters were topped off were on point (one note: ask if the glass is sparkling or flat water before the refill). The lamb shank was fantastic, and the pork chop was seasoned perfectly. I'd ask for a few more green vegetables added to the menu (they offer Brussels and broccoli, but they were out of Brussels by 715p). We'll for sure be back! read more

This place is just over priced for what you ultimately get. The highlight is the cocktails. They are unique and different. The MKT priced 17oz ribeye had lots of flavors surrounding it but the steak was not tender and I would say not even close to what we paid for it. Same with the pork chop. Lots of sauces and flavors but the meat itself was dry. I would say come here for a drink, but you would be better served finding food somewhere else. read more

This distillery has probably some of the best cocktails I've ever had at a distillery (and potentially in general)! The alcohol itself is great and the cocktails are creative, fun and tasty. They didn't have food available when we visited, but all we cared about was cocktails. I would call before coming by just to ensure they're open and serving food and/or drinks. There are plenty of cocktails to choose from, with a variety of alcohols and flavor profiles to suit all tastes. We loved all the cocktails we ordered, especially the Shit is Bananas. We also ordered Sugar Plum Drop, Pom Collins, and Rogue Planet. Service was fast and very friendly. The restaurant area is bright and spacious, with some unique artwork throughout. They seem to be into Star Wars here, as there was plenty of Star Wars artwork and cocktails. If I'm ever back in Breck, I'll certainly be stopping by this distillery again. read more

We were traveling to Denver and decided to stop in Breckenridge for dinner, where we found this really cool spot. I believe it's known as the highest distillery in Colorado--don't quote me on that, though! To get to the restaurant, you walk through their shop area where they sell their own whiskeys and bitters, which was a nice touch. The space itself has a super fun vibe--filled with quirky retro art featuring Star Wars and Jacques Cousteau. We came at just the right time before the dinner rush, but I did call ahead to make a reservation just in case (and I'd definitely recommend doing that). Their cocktail menu was impressive--plenty of whiskey-based drinks, creative mocktails, and fun themed names (some Star Wars inspired). I ordered the Rogue Planet, which was light, tart, and delicious, and also tried The Moon and Antarctica--if you love passionfruit, you'll love that one. My mom got the Coconut Old Fashioned, which she liked so much she ended up buying the rum to recreate it at home. My dad went with the Obi-Wan Old Fashioned, a solid classic. The food menu had a great mix of appetizers, shareables, and entrées. You must get the Chicharrones if you love pork rinds--these were unlike any I've had before: crispy, flavorful, and super sharable. The Flame-Grilled Baguette was another winner--warm, buttery, and perfectly crisp. My sister and I shared the Filet and Frites (medium), and it was absolute perfection--tender, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth good. My dad got the sharable ribeye, and my mom went with the striped bass (I think), and while they both enjoyed theirs, they agreed ours was the best dish of the night! For dessert, we all shared a sundae topped with popcorn--which sounded strange at first but turned out to be so good. Sweet, salty, and totally addictive. We also received a complimentary non alcoholic champagne made by Brad Pitt. Very Crisp called Enroot. Wish I bought some to take home. Before leaving, we picked up some whiskey to take home and were helped by Ricardo, who was so kind--and fun fact, he's Brazilian, just like my mom! We were there with our pre teen & teen boys so it was nice to know they were accommodated at a distillery. We had the Tomowak steak 45Oz along with the Nass appetizer & brussel sprouts mashed potatoes. We ended up packing the steak to go at the end just cause we couldn't finish it. I would've given a 5 star instead of 4 if it wasn't for the fact that menu is very limited ( including drinks that were missing based on reviews of other prior posts). Also, we waited 55 minutes for our appetizer to come from the time we got seated even though we had reservations. That being said, I would still recommend to others read more

The restaurant in the distillery is undoubtedly one of my favorite spots in all of Summit County. The staff is INCREDIBLE. We have been coming here once a week recently and have never had a negative experience. Rather, the opposite - every server and bartender that we have come into contact with has been courteous, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. The bartenders are some of the best I have come across (ever!). The menu changes seasonally, so you are never disappointed. Some of the menu items I could eat every day, though. The burger on happy hour is one of the best burgers I have EVER had... it is one of the best deals at the distillery during happy hour. You cannot skip dessert here. We did many visits and once we got the cookies, we will never skip a dessert here again - they are perfectly curated to and a visit here. read more

My boyfriend made a reservation months in advance for a party of 7 and the distillery said that they couldn't do larger than a party of 6. We had to sit at the bar away from the rest of the group, while we noticed at least two other parties of 7+ people. The bartender was exceptionally kind, friendly and informative. I am plant based and not drinking so dinning here felt extremely awkward, but he made a few modifications and crafted some lovely mock-tails. If you are plant based, your options are extremely limited. There is nothing vegan on the menu and only a few things that can be modified to be. None of the entrees are vegan, so you will probably leave hungry. However, if you are a meat eater, this is definitely the place for you as all of the menu is very meat/dairy heavy. They also offer great cocktails, of course, and have a few fun Star Wars themed drinks. read more

Great Little distillery just outside of Breckenridge headed out towards The Hyatt vacation club. Everyone there was super nice and the drinks were on point. Slightly disappointed though they don't have any beer selection for the non-liquor drinkers. The staff will tell you that it is the best food in summit county. They might be right. The burger is out of this world and will likely top your list too for best burger. Had an awesome Apres day at Breck Distillery. Arrived around 1:50 and got in line for them to open. The line forms in the tasting room so you can taste while you wait. Folks working the tasting room were very nice and we chatted the whole time. At 2;00 sharp we sat down at the bar. Bartender was great. She was super knowledgable and had created some of the cocktails on the menu. She was very attentive and talked with us about all kinds of the ingredients that go into the cocktails. We tried the Rogue Planet, Herbalist, and Homage to the Pollinators. All were good but Rogue Planet was our favorite. We also ate the smashburger and sweet potato hummus. The burger was fantastic and we really liked the pita that came with the hummus. Sticky wings and 420 tots and all kinds of other things looked really good. My husband was craving steak so we headed to Breckenridge Distillery. We sat at the bar and had one of the best experiences! The food was outstanding, and the drinks were fantastic. My husband enjoyed the Bison Ribeye, while I savored the Colorado Strip. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I drank the Fuego Y Pina & my husband had the Obi-Wan Old Fashioned & Waves of Watermelon. Shout out to Eric, for making the evening evening more enjoyable. One of the country's highest distilleries makes phenomenal food too! Out of all of our Breckenridge research, this spot came up high on the post every time. And we're so glad it did! Stopping in for happy hour (2-5 p.m.) on a Friday in October, my wife and I sat at the bar where we watched the food being made. The orange chicken was a unique menu item but worth getting. The chicken is crispy and the papers on top make the dish. My wife loves the poke bowl. For dessert, the three chocolate cookies were gooey and so good with the cookie batter butter on top and the cereal milk. The cocktails were great! For $10 on the happy hour menu, I ordered the pear vodka cocktail and my wife the gin one. All their drinks include their own liquor. (You can buy bottles of it in the store/tasting room.) Service was excellent and the space inviting. There's a parking lot, free bus, and a free shuttle. read more

Breckenridge Distillery - Smoked Old fashioned - Distilleries Near Me - Breckenridge, Colorado

The kitchen at the Breckenridge Distillery needs to get its act together. Although the food, for the most part, was good...the kitchen couldn't manage to get it out all at once. The liquor here is excellent and all is made on premises. If you like bourbon, you should try the high proof. Very smooth sipping bourbon. We started with two kids meals (out of our party of 8) and they came out at about the same time as the Clothesline Bacon. The bacon was unremarkable...it wasn't really that thick and there was no discernible caramelized glaze although they offered a cup with sweet syrup. We ordered the Tomahawk Steak for four of us to share and the other two diners ordered pasta and polenta respectively. We had a number of the sides - Charred Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Mashed Potatoes and Duck Fat Reds (another potato)...they were all quite good with the Reds a nice change to au gratin. The waiter should warn diners that the Tomahawk can take over an hour to prepare. Ours didn't tell us...he also didn't tell the table of ten sitting across from us (who were disgruntled that their dinner took so long and ended up wolfing it down because they had children who were no longer able to sit at the table). If it takes an hour to cook a Tomahawk, there is nothing that can be done about it. What was unforgiveable was that the other two diners at our table were forgotten. Everything was served but our non-meat eaters were left without meals. They were finally delivered 10 minutes for the pasta and 15 minutes for the polenta after the steak arrived. No-one was really apologetic...they were too busy explaining that the cooking time for the Tomahawk was what it was and there was nothing they could do about it. We would have felt better if the manager came to the table and offered a genuine apology or maybe comped a drink or dessert...but nothing. We would not be able to recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is good but the attitude and service are not. read more

They are located in an a mixed residential and Industrial park north of Breckenridge Their private parking lot can hold about 40 cars. One of the Breckenridge Free ride buses comes by every 20 minutes. You walk down a gravel path to the entrance. They have all of their spirits ranging from $35 to $375 on one wall + glassware and swag. The opposite wall is where you get free tastings of almost all spirits, except the double cask whiskey for $375. No limits. I had arranged a distillery tour at 2pm only 1 week before. Cost was $35 + tax and limited to 10 people (no children). The tour was 1 hr long and covered history of Breckenridge Distillery, past and current distillation techniques + 2 or more tastings. Our guide was nice. He answered everyone's questions. We saw the original 500 gallon copper still with 3 openings to extract the ethanol before being aged in American Oak barrels. U.S. law says bourbon whiskey can only be aged in American Oak. All other whiskies can be aged in Port, Rum or Sauternes barrels. The amount of char on the inside can influence the color and flavors of whiskies. Very informative. I stayed for Happy Hour (daily from 2pm-5pm). I had a Port cask Old Fashioned ($10). My food included a large gem salad with lots of grated parmesan and a prime rib cheesesteak sandwich with tater tots. Low prices for Breckenridge. read more

It's a classic place to visit when in Breckenridge, CO! You can taste whiskey, grab a cocktail, grab a bite or do all three. ;D We had dinner plans so we just came in for a tasting and a few cocktails. They have table seating, outdoor seating and bar. For this experience, we chose the bar which lead us to have the amazing service of Ty! She said she was in training, but she knew everything we asked and really made the afternoon quite enjoyable. We were shocked to see a Trinidad Sour on the menu, so we quickly ordered two. This is a pretty rare cocktail to see done, because of it's ratio of bitters to bourbon. It's also my favorite cocktail (ever) when done right. If you've never had one, this would be a good one to try but it unfortunately does not beat the one my husband has learned to make at home. Next, we tried the Midnight Marauder and Rogue Planet. We were not huge fans of the Midnight Marauder. It just was not our flavor! That happens when you order new cocktails to try, though. It's no biggie! We both really LOVED the Rogue Planet! I blame the Brown Butter Washed Breckenridge Bourbon they make it with. I wish I would have started and ended with that cocktail, as well as, maybe had a third haha. :D Collectively, we agreed we should come back as we loved the service, atmosphere and vast food + drink menu! I had a wonderful meal here, much needed after climbing Mount quandary in the morning. the place is both a distillery and restaurant. The distillery has won awards for some of its spirits. The two drinks I had were excellent. My server was extremely attentive as was the rest of the staff, constantly checking to see if everything was OK and if I needed anything. The restaurant area is a large indoor and outdoor area. The food was quite delicious, especially the brussels sprouts. I do look forward to going back again. read more
