He finished them in a little over a month and got them to us very quickly. I can't even express how impressive that is, considering how much work goes into editing a photo and the amount of time it takes. I could see 4 weeks easily if it were the only set he was working on, but I'm very impressed that it only took him 4 weeks when I know for a fact he was working on several weddings (and shooting more) at the same time. In case you weren't impressed by his turnaround time already: My husband's cousin got married 2 weekends before us. She hadn't seen a single professional photograph as of last Sunday, whereas I had already sent people links to all of the photos on Steve's website. I was hesitant to leave this review, but after reflecting the last 24 hours, I decided I would not…read morebe doing future potential customers a service by not mentioning my experience. My girlfriend and I booked a "mini session" back on September 21st for October 19th for fall photos. In our request, we specially mentioned that we wanted to have our photos taken "while the leaves were turning and in full bloom". A mini session is for 30 minutes and cost me $300 up front to reserve the date. When the date came, Mother Nature unfortunately presented the day with rainy weather. Jenn emailed us that morning and requested to move the session to another date. We obliged and settled on November 1st, even though we knew the leaves would be at the tail end of the season. When this date came around, the night before, the area was hit with snow, leaving little to no "fall feel", with snow on the ground and also covering the trees. I called Jenn that morning and left a voicemail that weather just wasn't on our side, and at this point, it wouldn't make sense to push our date out again, because the fall bloom would basically be over and we wouldn't be getting the fall photos we had originally reached out for. Jenn called me back late in the afternoon. As soon as I mentioned just cancelling and refunding, she became short with me, saying she had no control over the weather, she didn't offer refunds, and we had the option to push out to another date and that our reservation fee gave us the option over the next year to book another date. While I do understand there is no control over the weather, considering the whole point of this session was for fall photos, the only option would be to wait a whole year for another chance at fall, which made no sense. Jenn was not empathetic to our situation at all, and her unprofessional tone left me feeling uncomfortable to even want to have her take our photos. How would we even be able to enjoy our session following a bad customer experience interaction? I leave this review with the decision to just be out the $300 and in the future look for a professional photographer who provides an extraordinary customer experience. Had she been more understanding and professional about our situation when speaking with her, I may have been more willing to figure something out with her.
