There are various stalls all located inside what I guess was a parking garage and all have some slightly different wares on offer. Some quite kitschy, some quite odd and some downright cool. Pretty impressive! We only had about 30 minutes to browse Blarney Woollen Mills. In that time, Wifey found a very cool jacket to purchase at an affordable price point. In that time, she also forgot her sunglasses at the shop. We already faraway from the shop when she realized that she misplaced it. She immediately called the shop, but by that time the sunglasses were nowhere to be found. The employee who answered the phone was not very helpful or sympathetic though. Very sad and disappointing customer service!!! Despite the loss of my wife's beloved sunglasses, it was still an okay experience overall. This shop carrys all kinds of clothes, crafts, food, plus so much more. Blarney Woollen Mills is known as having the great Irish Shopping Experience after all. Absolutely check this place out after you kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle of course. Just don't forget any of your possessions while you are here because chances are great that they will be unable to help you.

I remember it having all the souvenirs you could want, including wool - at reasonable prices. We visited again after Blarney Castle but we had limited time since it closes at 6 PM and we got there at around 5:30. I managed to find a cute little sheep stuffy for my daughter, and an ornament for my sister. I remember buying wool the last time I was here. If I had more time to shop, I probably would have done more damage, so maybe it was a good thing the store was at closing time.

I'm sure some model tank designer got some sadistic pleasure out of lads like myself getting glue everywhere trying to fit together those treads, but I digress. The models have certainly come a long way from what I remember. This place had everything, such as a Doctor Who Tardis, tractors, WWII dioramas, planes, tanks, and automobiles. BEECH HILL GARDEN CENTRE Beech Hill Garden centre is a happy…read moreplace, almost always the sound of laughter floating over this award winning centre which is beautifully located on the Middle Glanmire Road, overlooking Cork city and harbour. But you don't go there for the laughs, although laughter is a tonic. Advice is freely given here and they are usually spot-on. Just recently I bought some plants there for a pebbled area and, well advised as usual, came away with some gorgeous colour, hopefully for years to come. It is close to me and I can always pop over for a single plant or container or a ball of garden twine. Maybe I am going just for that laugh! The well stocked centre is run by the COPE Foundation which provides a comprehensive range of services for 1600 children and adults with an intellectual disability.
