My family had an extremely disappointing experience with Breshears Professional Photography in Kennewick. My husband entered a "Daddy & Me" photo shoot promotion they advertised on Facebook. Like many others apparently, he was told he had "won." We paid a $200 deposit, were told the package included a one-hour session and a desktop print, and were informed there would be additional print options available afterward. That seemed reasonable. The photo shoot itself went well, and the photos turned out great. Afterward, we were brought into a sales room where we were heavily pressured into purchasing canvases. The pricing was shocking -- around $2,500 for a mid-sized canvas package. While expensive, we still considered purchasing because we genuinely liked the photos. Later, when my husband called asking about digital images, we discovered they were charging $195 PER digital file. Not high-resolution print-ready files either. We were never clearly informed upfront that digitals would cost this much individually. At that point, it felt less like a family photography experience and more like a high-pressure sales operation designed to emotionally pressure parents into spending thousands after already investing time, money, and energy into the shoot. What made this worse was the way the owner, Rich, handled criticism afterward. My husband left a negative review based on our honest experience, and instead of professionally addressing the concerns, Rich personally called him to belittle and intimidate him into taking the review down. We were also told we were simply "out of their price point," which came across as dismissive and insulting. After sharing our experience publicly, over 30 people commented saying they experienced the exact same thing -- feeling misled by the "you won" promotion and blindsided by the pricing afterward. The photos may be beautiful, but transparency and professionalism matter too. Families deserve to know the REAL pricing upfront before becoming emotionally invested in photos of their children. read more

Customer service is friendly and communicative. Pricing for services and products are very expensive compared to the average family photographer you can employ and the printing options available online. If you want a high quality print with a traditional indoor studio background, this is the place for you. But if you want a variety of digital photos, I would definitely go elsewhere. read more

Update: The owner has reached out to me. Very patient, kind and responsive. Much appreciated on my part. We have ironed out the wrinkles and have come to a satisfactory resolution. There was an unknown glitch regarding emailing the digital file. That has been resolved. Some information was not relayed to me regarding product pricing and that was discussed. Also, the fact that I could have had input as to cropping was discussed. Hoping the replacement portrait is amazing! Thank you Maryann. This is a review of the Spokane WA studio and product. Although the photographer and the sales gal were very nice and friendly, I feel like this is basically bait and switch. You are promised $1000 free to cover the $300 sitting fee and $700 11x14 portrait. I was never actually told the pricing on all the portrait options shown, so I thought I was choosing the cheapest and therefore the $700 option. Wrong! I guess you need to actually ask for that option. Idk. So I ended up paying an additional $200 for my "free" portrait. I had also opted to get a digital 5x7 photo for $195 so I could get my own prints, cards, post to social media, etc. What I got today was an 11x14 portrait that was not in focus nor was it cropped appropriately, so the subject(s) were very small. Really?! That is so unprofessional. And my digital copy? I got an actual cheap 5x7 print. No info about accessing a digital copy. So am I just supposed to scan this print? And lastly an FYI ... any great reviews are from many years ago and seem to be of the Kennewick studio. This company should be ashamed. read more

In the "good olde days", weeks might pass after a special event before the photo proofs were ready. So when the Breashears Photography pictures from last night's Wedding were posted on Facebook this morning, Gayle and I were most pleasantly surprised. The selection of pictures were stunning, capturing not only the beauty of the Bride and the handsome Groom, but also accenting the venue (Moore Mansion) and capturing some of the flash dancing fun. As a guest of the Bride's Family (Gayle is her Aunt), I tried my best to stay out of most of the pictures. Yet, Rich and Mary Ann Breshears managed to get me in a few and with good humor, skill, and professionalism. One of the top guns in photography. They did our wedding and let's say you get what you pay for. No extra charges, very up front people, you can pay less and might or might not get the quality or what you hoped for. The owners put our minds to ease, talked us through everything wish the caters did the same. These people were on top of everything. They even help remind us of things we didn't think of. Breshears photography awarded us with a $1000 photography gift certificate. It was great to receive it, as I would never approach a photographer on my own for photos. Mary Ann is sweet and helpful and Rich did an amazing job with our picture. He even got my 3-year old to sit still and smile. Picture came out beautiful, just a little on the expensive side. Even with our $1000 certificate, it still cost us $200 out of pocket for a 11x14 size picture. It's beautiful work though. read more

Mary Ann and Rich are two of the most caring people I have ever met. They both truly care about their clients and what it is their client needs. Not only are they amazing at what they do but they are connected in the community with other services. Short story is the Breshears had a bride to be in their studio in tears because their DJ had just backed out on them about a week or so before their wedding. Mary Ann got on her phone and found not only a DJ for her wedding but arguably the best DJ in our area...wow who does that?! Oh yeah Breshears does that.
