An expansive car park opens onto an outdoor area selling compost, which leads into the main entrance where the tills and advice desks are located. This area also has an impressive range of bird food and feeders, as well as an expansive range of seeds and plant food. The main outdoor area is partially covered, with plants that are both reasonably priced and healthy, which cannot be said for all garden centres. There is also quite a variety of specimens, considering the size of the garden centre. At the rear of the main plant area is a sizeable aquatics shop, where you can buy fish, aquatic plants, pond liners etc. Garden King also has a small tearooms/restaurant that sells hot drinks, light bites, as well as hot dinners. It also sells Vancouver Oak Furniture, as well as other assorted items for the home, i.e. mirrors, lamps etc. One last thing you must look out for as you enter the car park are the rather large signs, that have obviously been designed as a homage to Sid James in the Carry-on films!

This is a great garden centre especially for complete novices who have not got a clue about…read moregardening. The staff were really helpful and give us superb advice about plants and even helped us choose what we needed for our garden, they also gave advice of how to plant and where to situate them. All of the plants are reasonably priced and look well taken care of. The plants were brought are still alive and kicking. This is well worth a visit even if its just for an hour out, the centre itself has a couple of inside greenhouses and outside sections. The car park is quite small but adequate for the centre.

Do not believe anything they say and do not trust them with your money. It says it all about a business when the address that is pictured in their photos and written as their address isn't actually anything to do with them. He didn't show, would not answer the phone or respond to messages. 1) Has incorrectly fitted a new gate. 2) Fencing not to spec 3) One fence post 2ft higher than the rest 4) Paving incomplete falling 200mm short on two edges 5) mortar missing in several places 6) several loose slabs 7) pond unfinished I made several attempts to make contact and come to some mutual solution. He chose to just ignore me & walk away! He seems a decent chap but obviously cannot be trusted - do not use

An enormous variety of goods ranging from souvenirs and neat gifts in the Gift Shop, all sorts of outdoor clothing - not just for in the garden but raincoats, casual gear for men and women and all the seasons, plants, turf, trees, fish, parrots, rabbits and more - and all your needs for your pets. Then organize day trips to a wide variety of places - and not to forget the REALLY good restaurant that does breakfast, lunch, afternoon teas (High Tea) and bargain dinners. Indeed today Mrs G and I had 2 two course dinners for 12 pounds ($16-17 for TWO!!). I had beef bourguignon, while Mrs G had a Quiche Lorraine with chips and peas/salad, and then I had apple pie with custard while she had lemon meringue pie.
