I wish there was a way to give BMD more stars, because 5 aren't enough to express how much we love this place. The food is always great. Last night I had a salad with spicy shrimp, watermelon and goat cheese. It was fantastic (and I usually don't like shrimp). Seriously, I could eat that salad every day! The service is amazing...everyone is very friendly and sincerely take care of their customers. And the beer selection is great and frequently updated. Stopped by here with our huge dog after hiking in the area! They have an outdoor patio to sit with the pooch after you order your food inside. The deli sandwich was really yummy and nice, soft bread! We also had a pretzel with mustard and beer cheese. Pretzel was nice and salty, but didn't really like the beer cheese taste, just my personal preference. They were so nice at the counter and we dealt with two different gentlemen. They brought out a bowl of water for our dog and even a few meat scraps! Checked on us later to make sure we didn't need anything. Not a huge menu, but what we got was good! read more

the first couple years or so they were open, the sandwiches were massive and stuffed, filled you up and totally worth the 10$. However over the past year or so the sandwiches seem to have dramatically decreased in size and are no where near as filling. Still taste amazing but I wish they made the sandwiches like they used to.. other than that, atmosphere is great, servers are great, and they have a good beer selection.. wish they were open later too, since they are only open on thursdays and weekends. read more

My wife and I have lived in foresthill for some years now and we love to support the local businesses. My sister in law Susan Barry used to own the Monte Verde Inn for years. We have seen places come and go, I hope they stay. The food was excellent, the BMD is amazing. Kevin and Jessica are the true examples of commitment to their craft. The chef is amazing, the sandwiches are simple and tasty. The sauce was the icing on the cake, we will be back. Any flatlanders coming this way have to stop here, locals you know where it is. read more

A diverse amount of beer and wine and the food is bomb! last few times I've been hook on the Adobo vegan sandwich (fyi i am not a vegan, sometimes I just prefer it.) Today had the Thai chicken wrap with mixed greens, peanut sauce, green onions and pickled carrots and it did not disappoint! New fav plenty of spice and flavor, eats light and pair perfect with my cold beer. The staff and own are super friendly and very informative about the beer and food menu. 5/5 stars! Just left Brew Masters...up for the Foresthill Heritage Days...greeted outside by one of the owners as I had my young German Shepherd dog with. Lovey woman. Enjoyed The Winston, nice turkey sandwich and a draft beer. Nice selection of beer on tap BTW...Owner took special care of my partner (dog, Jake) and I thank her. Service makes a difference . The interior is nicely done. There is a taller, older gentleman maintaining the beer bar who seems a bit surly (only kidding) but perhaps he's just worried about his ride back to the old folks home...not sure. **Update** It wasn't a fluke! Since my initial review we have returned many times. In fact, BMD has become our Thursday night date. The food and service has been consistently excellent. Don't let the small menu fool you. Their regular specials and constant rotation of beers means there's always something new to try. Assuming that you don't fall so in love with one of their choices that you can't help but order it, as is my nature. They are also very accommodating to special requests, if it's reasonable. They were happy to oblige when I asked them to make a BMD with the aioli from the Deluxe. It has since become my favorite sandwich in the world. There's only one problem with this place. This is my 2nd 5 star review for our new favorite place in town! We've been in several times since opening day and the food, service, atmosphere is consistently awesome. It's been a hot summer and it's so nice to have a cool place to drop in for a yummy sandwich and an ice cold beer.
