Beer menu 5/2/26
Scott S.

Food is all quality stuff, made in house, down to ketchup. I had buffalo wings and fries. I think the hand cut fries are the best on the island. I saw the cauliflower app and definitely should have gotten that! Small place but well decorated. Good selection of draught and bottle beers. I had seen another reviewer saying the beers weren't cold enough and I found this to be the case as well. Might be ok stout temp but not IPAs. Only other negative is the price of the beers. $10 for a 12 oz cider. $12 for a 16oz local brewery IPA. I know things are pricey in Hawaii but the beers were easily $2 over priced even for here.

Popped in for a quick lunch date with my daughter Got the fish tacos and loaded fries. The food was yummy! Great beer cheese! The fish tasted fresh got avocado added and it really made the taco. I wish I had come a different day as the bet taps from 1-17 where out.. So we missed out on that. It was quick and service was good. Ambience was warm and punish with an island spin on it.

Brew'd does not make their own brews, but instead cultivates a great roster of draft beers from California, Hawai'i and elsewhere. The best thing about this place is their staff, who are super friendly and have cultivated a great neighborhood vibe. Our bartender also allowed me to taste a couple beers before ordering them, which I appreciate! They also have a great happy hour, with discounts on wine, beer, well drinks and pub eats from 4-6. They also have wine Wednesdays with 25% on bottles of wines and deals on glasses of wine. We also tried the jumbo pretzel, which was a bit rubbery. I would come back only for the amazing staff.

Service was great. Would definitely return for HH apps (ordered cauliflower and pickles). For the price, I was expecting a lot more from my melt and onion rings. Very basic and sub par. Sandwich was flavorful but extremely gristly and the onion rings were extremely bland.

Taylor was our server and she was so sweet, the food was good and reasonably priced. We went at around 9pm and the atmosphere was great, well lit and the host was very accommodating. Would recommend

Had to update my review for Brew'd and here's why. I love that they are dog friendly and we love coming here after the dog park. They provide water bowls and are able to even provide a non seasoned beef pattie for your dog if you ask (not on menu) $8. I also am loving that they have a terrific brunch and their drafts are always being updated with new brews. The service is great and food delicious!

Amazing service, good, drinks and atmosphere. I've been here a few times and I've always been happy with the visit. Drinks were always great, they have an amazing selection of beer fast service and really cool chill atmosphere. This has been my local for my past visit and I have to say that Dylan- the bartender has hands down, made this my favorite spot.

Blackened fish sliders, and fries ($24.00)

This store sits at the corner of 9th and Waialae Avenue. There is limited parking behind the building; and the availability of street parking depends on the time of day. I was exploring the general vicinity when I encountered this café and went in for lunch. On this initial visit, I had the blackened fish sliders ($24.00) and two Dragonfruit Lemonade ($4.00/ea). With tax ($1.51) and service fee ($1.34), my ticket was 34.85 before gratuity. (Interestingly, there is a small discount if you pay with cash.) The fish sliders were okay. I understand the seasonings that go along with blackened fish; but I found it too salty. And the manner in which the fries were prepared was not to my liking. I think I just made a bad menu selection, and I'll try other items in the future. The space is not too large, but it is stylish and comfortable. There is a robust selection of draft and packaged beers and ciders. They have the ability to make conventional and crafted cocktails. A lot of people describe this establishment as a neighborhood gastro pub. I think this is a good description. I don't think this is a destination of itself; rather it primarily caters to the surrounding vicinity. And looking at their website, the café hosts events to make itself a neighborhood center of activity.

We stopped in for some tasty beers and happy hour appetizers. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were great! Service was prompt and they had great craft beer knowledge. We ordered a few appetizers: smoked marlin dip, fried pickles, chicken tenders and the fish tacos. The smoked marlin dip was tasty but the fish could have been shredded up a bit better to be in every bite, it seemed that there were just a few big chunks. The fish tacos were dry and could have used some type of sauce. The pickles were unevenly battered (some were completely battered, some half battered) They have a great selection of craft beer on tap, both local beers and beers from the mainland.

Aloha from Brew'd!!

This is my neighborhood gastro pub and it has gone through improvements. Expanded hours, better happy hours, improved flooring, larger patio and even more beer on tap are happily noted. The food, service, beer served with appropriate glasses and familiar faces have happily remained the same. Host Jo always welcomes us in with Aloha. Bartenders Max and Jordan are knowledgeable and personable. Kitchen staff even smile at the patrons. Servers are sweet. They have a back parking lot, as well as street parking.

Located on the corner of Waialae and 11th, this cozy neighborhood gastropub had many of their tables filled both inside and outside on a Thursday night. The atmosphere and crowd are cool, comfortable and casual. I got the impression many folks come regularly. The friend I met brings his dog here weekly for the food, beer, and service, Lucky dog! All the servers know her name and one even brought her a water bowl. Of course it contained water, not beer! I was impressed with the comprehensive drink menu. There are 25 beers listed on the draft menu. To save time, I followed by friend's lead and ordered a Delirium, a Belgian ale that comes in its own special elephant glass. FOOD- everything was good and of course went well with the beer! *Smashed burger - 1/2 lb all American beef with all the works including a delicious caramelized onion jam. Comes with their hand cut fries that are fried in beef tallow. Delish! *Beet salad- a colorful bowl of greens topped with beautiful thinly sliced red pickled onions, fried feta balls, cherry tomatoes, and of course fresh beets. You can order with protein. I got the grilled chicken that was nicely seasoned and delicious by itself . There are some other vegetarian options on the menu as well. *Roasted tomato and garlic Hummus-very tasty comes with fried pita. I ordered extra pita since I ran out. Service was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable like they've been working there a while. Happy Hour is from 4-6. Definitely want to return after my blood test for the smoked brisket poutine.

Located in Kaimuki on Waialae Ave, we went there for lunch. We share a Philly cheese slider sandwich with Truffle fries they forgot we ordered Truffle fries so he apologized and brought us a plate of truffle fries. The slider's was tasty with lots of meat and melted cheese. The fries and truffle fries were also very good and it came out hot and crispy and very tasty, they also make their own ketchup in-house which was also very good. The wedged salad fresh, it was okay a little hard to eat, but we managed and the dressing and tomatoes. Parking is limited in the back of the restaurant that they share with other restaurants and shops. Restroom was clean and the dining area also was clean and well kept. The bar tender/waiter/host was very personable and nice and friendly! He made you feel at home!

We paid $12 for two gyozas which I'm fairly certain are sending us on our way to food poisoning. I cannot even describe the taste, but it was fishy and extremely bad way. I can totally understand that but seriously we ordered a brisket sandwich as well as a Bento box on top of the appetizers none of which were particularly satisfying flavor bowl or tasty in anyway in fact quite a bit of it tasted by old. That's just the food. The service was just fine. Now we were waited on in a timely manner, and the waitress was quite friendly. The place seemed funky in a cool way but its aesthetic was sorted rounded out by a certain level of dust and filth that was across the entire restaurant on our visit. Don't even bother using the restroom which was coated and I am not even sure what. Seriously, I've not been moved to make a review of many places in my travels. This was one I felt I should give a heads up on because my experience differed so greatly from the popular opinion on yelp.

You walk through a whiskey wall and walk upstairs to the speakeasy. They used a lot of the decor from the former location known as Harry's Emporium. We were the only ones for about an hour so we were able to maximize the bartender's time. Max is an excellent bartender and informed us that they are only open on the weekends for now. They have large menus, I assume they may be disposable as it is paper and gets dirty super fast. I feel like they should really try to laminate these things to avoid waste. WE got: * Garlic Bread with Mushroom Cream Sauce: 8/10. My friend that I was with said he really recommended it so we got it. It was a pretty solid appetizer, the bread was garlicky and buttery. The toasty bread paired well with the mushroom cream sauce. Even though it was good I personally wouldn't order it again just because I feel like there are much more unique/ interesting dishes on the expansive menu * Hane Cheese Gyoza: 10/10. No notes, this was amazing. Meaty and cheesy, perfectly satisfied my umami and cheesy craving. * Filet Katsu Curry: My friend got this, it looked very good and he said he really likes it so I assume it is a solid item as well. I didn't get the chance to try it. * Pasta Salmon with Cream Sauce: 8/10 I got this because I wanted to give their pastas another shot after not really liking their uni pasta... this was good. Personally wouldn't get it again though. I feel like they could cut down on the volume of noodles and possibly increase the amount of cream/sauce and even the salmon. As our meal progressed, it felt like it was getting less and less creamy as there weren't enough sauce to cling onto the remaining noodles I feel like I would definitely recommend this spot for happy hour, I heard their drink deals are good too (on top of their food HH). Buttt, it's sooo flavorful. You can tell they are not petty in garlic and butter because they put a lot of garlic and butter that each piece of the shrimp is coated evenly that absorbs the garlicky flavor. The shrimp is fresh and not overcooked. If you like rice, the rice will taste like heaven.
