There are some ruins nearby, just a ways down from the beach area

LOVEDDD this beach. It wasn't actually high on my go-to list when I came to St. Thomas, but a couple taxi drivers said it's a pretty much guarantee you'll see sea turtles here (which I did, both times! Many of them!). This is more of a local beach, its not the "prettiest" white sand because of the trees and shrubbery nearby, but it's still a pretty clean beach and big enough that you can spread out no problem. Early in the day, the trees provide a good amount of shade but as it gets later that kinda goes away. The water is fairly clear, the first day I went it was most clear right after it had rained, the second time it was less clear but still pretty visible. As I mentioned, I saw LOTS of sea turtles, they're so calm and cute! I also saw a couple of stingrays, and of course plenty of fish. There were lots of snorkelers here in the middle of the week while boats were in the st. Thomas harbor (Wednesday is the hottest day for tourists per our taxi driver), but when we came Friday this beach was pretty calm. Overall - would rec bringing your snorkel gear and coming here if you want to see some cool marine life!

Beautiful sky and perfect beach no waves!!!

Brewers Bay Beach was everything that we wanted in St. Thomas!! My boyfriend loves airplanes so it was awesome to see some of them landing right next to the water. With 5 ships in port that day we got really lucky with there only being, I would say, 40 people max on the beach, which seemed to be more locals than tourists. There aren't any chairs and I'm not sure there were any bathrooms, but it did have a lot of trees for coverage from the sun or rain to put your stuff under. We saw 4 Sea turtles here and a few different species of fish. We didn't swim out super far and could actually stand in most places to see the Turtles. If you're on a big ship like Oasis or Icon or something of that size, this beach is only about a 5 minute drive from that port, which made it a breeze driving back to get back on the ship.

Our Cruise ship ported near by and after during an organized excursion, we were looking for a beach to snorkel and chill. We were very fortunate to learn about this spot from our excursion guide. We took a taxi over (maybe 10 mins drive) and glad we did. The water was clear and the snorkeling was great. Local spot and we learned that Food Trucks come and have snacks if you don't bring your own. While in the water for 10 mins, I saw more sea creatures than I did all day going through the big excursions via the cruise ships. Lots of turtles "just chillin, doing they thing". The water was clam and plenty of views while sitting on the sandy beach. Bathrooms & showers are available so make sure you bring towels. Most of the taxi don't want a "wet person" in their vehicle... and I don't blame them.

This is a wonderful beach. Go to the left near the dock. You'll see many beautiful sea creatures. While snorkeling we saw turtles, stingray, colorful fish and so many other sea creature. If you don't have snorkeling equipment you can rent from St Thomas Adventures. They have bathrooms and a shower to rinse the sand. Plenty of parking too. This will be my go to beach for sure.

This beach has crystal clear water, and it's not rocky. The beach and sand look and smell clean. The area is nicely landscaped, and it is very scenic.

    Turtles coming up for air

What a beautiful spot. We snorkeled and saw several turtles and lots of little fish. Planes coming and going next to the beach , fun to experience. Calm waters and trees for shade. Bathrooms need some updating . No charge to go onto the beach. Gray Food truck was there , beers $4-5. Was able to walk over the hill to the university bus shed and take the bus back to town for $1. Definitely a little trash on this beach , maybe they need more bins about ... I would definitely visit again :-)

This beach is a strong 4.5 stars - my favorite beach on island. Water is calm and warm, and you can watch the planes take off and land while relaxing. I usually hang to the left side of the beach and hide under the shade of the trees when I've had enough sun. There are facilities and an outdoor shower - which is great for a free beach. The only downside is that the beach can get a little trashed, but it's not so bad that it would dissuade me from frequenting this location. Oh, and there's a food truck that sells patties, local fare and liquor across the street!

    Before the rain

We found the sea turtles that a lot of the reviews mentioned! We were so excited to see them munching on the sea grass, then taking a leisurely, graceful swim to the surface to breathe for a little bit. It rained the day we were there but it was still beautiful and it wasn't crowded at all. The beach is large so I think, even on a clear day, it wouldn't be congested. Definitely worth the visit. Not much in the way of tropical fish but the sea turtles made it all worthwhile.

If you have a younger child, this is the absolute perfect beach to come to! It's a bit out of the way for anyone in a cruise ship so you may need to catch a taxi, there's ample street parking along the beach. They even have outdoor showers and bathroom facilities (I didn't check those out so not sure of their cleanliness) the beach is pretty long and on a busy day there's about a dozen people. The reason this is a great beach for kids is it has some of the calmest water on St. Thomas which makes it great for kids playing at the shoreline collecting shells, learning to swim, or snorkeling. Also there are no major drops on the ocean floor so you can stand for quite some time out of the shoreline. We didn't snorkel but there were a ton of people doing so and we still managed to see sea turtles (we were told by snorkelers there were 3) popping their heads up now and then. There were fish swimming around us as well as pelicans diving for their lunch. Even more cool for kids and potentially adults is that it's directly next to the airport runway that goes out into the ocean so you see planes both landing and taking off. Be aware that there are no beach chair rentals so it's bring your own or towels, there are plenty of trees lining the beach where folks camp out for shade and also hang clothes and towels to dry on the tree. Also, there are dumpsters for trash so you don't have to lug it back to wherever with you. All in all, great beach, great time!

So I think I might like this beach a bit more than Magen's bay. I know that probably sounds like madness as the other beach was rated one of the highest of all the beaches in the world. This one just seems a lot more low key. There are still a decent amount of people there so you can feel safe, but this beach just feels more low key and less famous. One point that I love doesn't have to do too much with the beach, but the fact that parking is not only pretty easy, it's free! No cost to come in is huge to me. STT is already expensive enough to come to! I also love the fact that all down the road there are lots of food trucks to serve you food and beverages! The beach itself is glorious. The views are still pretty nice, not as nice as Magen's, but still beautiful. The water is so clear and the sand is super smooth to walk on. I highly recommend this beach! The only downside is the bathroom. While I'm thankful there is one, it was repulsive to change in. This could be a one time thing, but seems like the normal.

Definitely my favorite beach on St Thomas. It's a quiet family beach! Great for snorkeling, saw a couple sea turtles and lots of fish. Easy access and parking.

Notice the pebbly and seashell based sand at the top.

Our resort (Margaritaville) had a free shuttle to Coki Beach which was nice! It was a short drive…read moreover and when you get off, be prepared for the tourist trap. A guy met us right off the shuttle to sell chairs and an umbrella. I think both together was under $20. While you're on the beach, there's people selling drinks, food, jewelry, etc. We were approached by a woman who took our order for one fried snapper, a couple of sides and two beverages (one alcoholic, one mocktail). We paid $99 for this. Make sure you have cash because it's easier to pay for things on the beach. We didn't have enough cash to pay so I had to get the establishments Cash App and pay that way. Or you can go to an ATM on site. Now... we had a great time relaxing on the beach, the view is absolutely beautiful plus the clear water BUT if you want something less crowded, I would say to find another beach. There were water activities like snorkeling, taking photos on a clear kayak, and so on so that was nice. There are also surrounding vendors to get ice cream, food, souvenirs, water, etc. Since we took a shuttle, we made sure we caught the last one of the day back to our resort. All in all, it was a beautiful beach day!

Parking is difficult and it's insanely crowded here. This is definitely a tourist trap. They charge…read more$7 per chair and $12 for an umbrella, which is fine if they want to, but then they are very rude when you turn them down. One of the men kept telling us to move so he could put more chairs right where we were and told us we were "in his way." It's a public beach and I should be able to lay on my towel where I'm not in anyone's way and not get this treatment. This behavior also extended to others that didn't pay for chairs. The snorkeling isn't even impressive here. We snorkeled nearly every day for over a week at different beaches and this was bottom of the list. Glad we weren't planning on staying long anyways. I literally enjoyed this place soo little, that I forgot to take pictures of it. Drinks were weak, but the fish we got was tasty and fresh.
