I am absolutely struck by her photos. Nemi's attention to detail, her ability to capture people's personality, mood and emotion in a single image really spoke to me. Nemi did all the shoots in her cosy studio photography in Ealing. She was so natural at finding the right angles and positioning me and my daughter in the shot in order to capture those tender moments of us. She infused the photo session with a sense of warmth and fun for all of us. Nemi's level of professionalism, confidence and seriousness about the art and craft of photography are what resonated with me and inspired me. She was very flexible and went with the flow throughout the whole process which made everything go so smoothly and helped us all feel at ease. Very shortly after our shoot she had photos already available for us to view online and they were amazing!! I literally do not know what else I can say apart from: BOOK HER NOW. We discovered this photography studio, quite by accident, while on vacation in London. The studio…read moreis located in the lower level of a gift shop directly across the street from Harrods Department Store. We did not plan on taking professional photos but we got caught up in the idea and the various costumes available (Tudor, Old West, Gangster, etc). We chose "Tudor" and were quickly taken into a room so we could change and choose which headpieces we wanted to wear as well as rings and swords. The photographer was very professional and the sitting took about one hour. There was a variety of poses and props that we used and after the sitting we had over 125 photos to choose from. We had big laughs looking at the photos while sitting on a sofa in front of a big screen TV. In the end we decided on four photos and decided on a package plan which included digital copies. The price was fair and the photos were also retouched to give us flawless complexions which is always flattering. I recommend seeking out Old & New Photography Studio for your photographic needs. Have a good time and remember to have fun and get caught up in the moment. We did!

I recently needed to get some photos printed for an exhibition and McKenzie Clark offered me the…read morebest price to print and mount my images. I asked them to print on Matt and as the images were quite dark they printed a test one first which turned out really dull. So they suggested I print on gloss which I didn't really want to as dark images with a lot of black in them look a hell of a lot better when they are printed on Matt paper but I took their advise and went with the gloss. Now they came out OK but I'm a perfectionist and I am not satisfied with OK. I will be trying a different printers next time.

This is a gem of a find, tucked away in the village of Compton…read more The gallery is the only one in the UK dedicated to a single artist, and contains the works of George Frederic Watts, the 19th Century British Symbolist painter whose works also hang in the Tate Gallery in London. Married to the potter and philanthropist Mary Fraser-Tytler, the developed the site as a centre for teaching pottery and other artistic skills. The gallery opened in 1904 but has been expanded over the years. Designed in the Arts & Crafts style, the galleries are top-lit to display Watts' paintings under natural light. The complex also includes Limnerlease, the artists' home, now a museum, a shop, contemporary art gallery (with rotating exhibitions) and two studios where courses are held. It is known for its lectures and events. Most people, however, just visit for the tea shop and the lovely grounds. The tea shop is housed in the same building as the shop, but there's a separate serving hatch if you want to eat outside. In high summer, they erect a large marquee and serve meals in the garden of the gallery as well. On our visit, we sampled the Welsh Rarebit (one with mushroom & tomato, one with bacon & sausage). Served with a salad garnish on a thick slive of sourdough bread, these were filling and delicious. They also serve an extensive collection of cakes. We've found service to be a little haphazard when it is very busy, though it is always freindly, and it such a lovely spot we come back again and again. The site has two parking areas, but it does get busy in summer (there is also parking at Limnerlease and the Clore Learning Studio, opposite). The village itself is also known for the Watts Memorial Chapel, which is a short walk from the Gallery and can be visited at the same time. The chapel - with an astonishingly lavish interior in the British Art Nouveau style, with Celtic, Eqyptian and Romanesque inspiration - was designed by Mary Fraser-Tytler, second wife of George Frederic Watts.

I took the train from Waterloo to Petersfield and then got a taxi from the station to the Barn. I had to get up very early on a Sunday to make sure that I got there on time, but it was definitely worth the commute, not just because my friend was the first in our group to get married, but also the location itself was very picturesque. The wedding was made more enjoyable by the fact that the weather was superb, an unexpected surprise considering it was in September. The couple hired out the barn for a Hindu wedding ceremony. The interior was grand and modern, and they had a great big bathroom which provided lots of space for me to change into my sari :-) There was also an adjacent meadow, and car parking available for over 80 cars. I'd definitely recommend this as a wedding venue, absolutely gorgeous...
