Imagine near the end of your mortgage contingency, you are requested to provide tons of documents that other mortgage bankers will never ask. Even though you provide those unnecessary documents in a timely manner, they still decline your application. Just like Biqi C. said, after Brain realized he couldn't get the approval, he just disappeared. Brain didn't the work, he just threw it to his assistant. He might have some good assistant, but the one (Aliena) I worked with was really unprofessional. Why don't you save yourself some time, choose other bank, I'm pretty sure there are tons of good one around. read more

Brian was recommended to me by my real estate agent when I first bought my studio apt a few years ago. My real estate agent told me this guy had a record of getting the whole mortgage process done in XX days. ( I don't want to put this number out there in case everybody demands him to do their mortgage process within this number of days ) My mortgage process was done pretty quickly too by Brian. It was a smooth sailing from the beginning to end. Last year, I sold the studio apt after I got married. Then, me and my husband were trying to buy a bigger apt and we, of course, went back to Brian for our mortgage process. In the end the deal fell through for some other reason, not because of mortgage. The whole process was a mess and incredibly stressful because everybody involved was constantly lying and manipulating except Brian and we couldn't rely on anybody, except Brian. It was the same when I sold the studio apt how painful the procedure was. In the middle of chaos, the only thing comforting to know was Brian was there and at least one thing was going well - the mortgage. Yenny, who worked with Brian for our loan, was very accomodating and freindly too. Brian is very quick to respond to your email. Anything he says he will do, he will do it right and quickly. Brian provides excellent service, and really knows his stuff! The rates are competitive, the service is professional and top notch, and the process efficient and fast. Others had told me I would not qualify for my mortgage, despite lots of pluses on my end. Brian first reviewed my information, and then gave me an informed response. The seller's attorney was shocked by how quickly I received my commitment letter, and said I broke the record. Even when a last minute glitch happened Brian fixed it immediately and my closing went very smoothly. In addition to using Brian for our refinance in August of 2012 we just closed on a complicated transaction with him and everything went smoothly. We just bought a 2 family house with my brother. Prior to buying the 2 family house we needed to sell my brothers apartment. Prior to selling my brothers apartment my brothers buyer needed to sell their apartment. So in essence we needed 2 sales to close before we could close on the house. I am thankful that Brian was the mortgage broker on all 3 of the sales/purchases. He was able to close on both sales that allowed us to close on the house prior to our interest rate lock expiring. Interest rates were up 1% since we locked in our rate and it would have been a large increase in our payment if we didnt close with the locked in rate. To summarize Brian was able to approve and close on 3 mortgages between 4 families in 60 days prior to our interest rate lock expiring. Brian is also very easy to get ahold off. He responds to all emails within minutes no matter what time of the day it is. You would be crazy if you didnt use Brian for your mortgage. read more

I have closed two coop apartments with Brian and done two refinances, so I will confidently say he is one of the best and most knowledgeable mortgage brokers. Highly recommended! I don't think my financials were complicated and were pretty straightforward. This doesn't mean the process of going through a coop purchase, or refinance wasn't stressful. Throughout the four times we have done business with Brian, I have learned to trust him 100%! If he says these documents are sufficient, no doubt they are, or we will close with the best rate in the market, you will get it. I had those freak out moments, and asked to talk to him. I can't recall how I came to Brian, but I'm glad I did. He got me and my wife a good rate on our first mortgage, and a great rate when we refinanced. But the fifith star is for his customer service. Obviously years go by without any communication between a mortgagee and a mortgage agent. But every time I reached out to Brian since we first worked with him about 8 years ago, he has remembered me immediately and has gotten things I needed (re-fi rates, pre-approval letters, etc.) within minutes (literally!). My wife and I just closed on our mortgage refinance with Brian at Wells and he was the best. Our original mortgage was with another bank but we went back to Brian for our refinance because we had such a positive experience with him when we shopped around for our original mortgage. He took a great deal of time with us before we even committed to go with Wells for our refi, walking us through the options and making sure we understood the closing costs and the process to getting a commitment. Some of these people can give you the rush act and are not always the most respectful, but at every point I felt like we were being counseled by a real human being and someone who was not trying to score a quick buck off of us. As the other reviews note, he is thorough, fast, extremely hard working and always responsive--not to mention pleasant, courteous and respectful. If this is your first time getting a mortgage, Brian will make the process easy, clear and comfortable for you; and if you're not new to the process, you will appreciate him nonetheless!
