***Update with previous review following***
Since I have finally resigned myself to being somewhat stuck with the 6 cords of trash you delivered, I began sifting through the load.... You season wood just about as horrible as you split it - there is absolutely NO consistency at all, we go from half a trunk @ 8" long to kindling @ 32" long. I have decided to offer the wood you supply as "campfire wood only for free" just to get it off my property without jeopardizing someone else's family/home to the inevitable demise from your poor quality supply. I would let you come pick some up, but I know now how little you care for the potential damage you could inflict on an unsuspecting customer. I implore all who burn firewood to look into the pellet wood & coal fired stoves, inserts, & boilers/furnaces who's fuel is of a definite grade and/or moisture content before dealing with another scumbag firewood dealer such as Brian's. I hope Brian Foraker & Sons does not do such a reckless, uncaring job as you do on your own...Do not take a delivery from this business without going to his storage site to see the wood for yourself & checking with a $30 moisture meter from Lowe's/Home Depot. Also as noted below, it is unlawful per PA state & Federal law for Brian's to deliver wood without an invoice detailing quantity & price paid for his trash wood.
Take CAUTION & read entire review !!! I want to start out by thanking Mr. Brian Foraker - owner of Brian's Firewood. Mr. Foraker, you have expertly delivered without it being possible for my presence 6 cords of barely seasoned split firewood perfectly! You also managed to violate Title 70 of the PA Code & Section 2.11 of the Weights & Measures Act of 1965. You also promised on Yelp to "gladly pick up wood there was a problem with & refund " without having to live up to it. Brian, I commend you on being so successful at running such a shady business. And by the way, PA has a quarantine on firewood & you weren't supposed to bring me wood from out of state - now that I reported it to the USDA, they may seize the wood you delivered. Despite all the previous - THANK YOU! You have me so sick of dealing with split firewood that I have thoroughly researched pellet stoves, I should have changed my stove as soon as I moved into this house 2 years ago. Pellets are so much more economical, less labor, & so much more dependable for moisture content. I wanted to drive my tractor through your house at first, but now I could kiss you. Brian Foraker I thank you & would like to extend my gratitude for disgusting me enough to realize there is a better way to heat with wood.
