They offer horse lessons and also provide boarding, so it's a great spot for anyone interested in equestrian life or just enjoying watching the training sessions. Our site was very level, which made setup easy, and hookups are available if you need them--definitely a plus for RV travelers. The highlight of our visit was the unique, friendly animals on the property, including Butterball the turkey, who quickly became part of the experience. Overall, a peaceful stay close to St. Louis and a great Harvest Hosts location we'd happily return to.

What we've found is a wonderful program where our son has developed into a curious and imaginative boy. I attribute some of this to the fact that the children are exposed to different subjects and topics, the artwork that comes home is truly his own (not done by the teacher) and they are given responsibility appropriate for their age. I am glad we found Samuel for our son and are excited that we have just enrolled our younger son in their young 2's program this January. There are many programs available, but if you want one of the best, check out Samuel Pre-K!

Great free dog park near SLU. It has a large area for you dog to roam around and play. Please beware that smaller dogs may be able to fit under the fence or even through the fence bars. My 20 lb dog was able to get through the fence bars without much effort. This park offers gated greenery and tons of running and playing space for the local pups and it is so much fun even to go as humans. If you are looking for somewhere to take your dogs and have not been here, you need to come! Pro tip: 95% of dogs are NOT on leashes and WILL approach your dog. If your dog will not be comfortable with this or is not friendly, this may not be the place for you. We started our dog on a leash and slowly worked our way up to letting him off and he enjoys this place now so much!

We had a great time doing the ropes course inside Union Station. It's a very large ropes course,…read morewith some challenging areas. My kids went straight for the challenging areas, of course -- they liked the 100-foot-long zip line and the areas that made my hands sweat. There are less challenging areas, too, so all ages will have a good time. You get about 30 minutes on the ropes course, which is plenty of time. You can leave early, but the half hour kind of goes by quickly. When we visited, there were only two other families, so we pretty much had free reign of the course. The ropes course towers over Union Station, so it's neat looking down and seeing the people below. Make sure to wear closed-toe and closed-heel shoes, so no flip flops or Crocks or sandals.

Awesome dog park right on Scott AFB. There are two fenced in areas for dogs to run and socialize…read more One area is for larger dogs and the other for smaller. Each fenced in area has park benches and covered picnic tables to relax and watch your dogs play as well as water fountains that have a small bowl on the bottom to run water in for your dog. There's also agility training equipment in each area as well as trash receptacles that have plastic bag dispensers to clean up after your pup. This dog park is very clean, never crowded and the best part is it's FREE!!
