I just couldn't leave town without stopping in! I'm a huge reader, so this was actually my first visit in a bookstore since sheltering-in-place, which made the experience all the more special to me. I walked in and was the only one in the store, other than the owner. This is a used bookstore with many prized possessions here. I could've really spent the entire day here, but was given a deadline of 20 minutes by bae because we had a wine tasting appointment we needed to get to. So I quickly found the fiction area and browsed as fast as I could, in search of my next read. They also had a deal where if you buy two books, you get one for free, which was tempting. But sadly, I was only able to find one book in such a short time spent here. However, I scored a first edition of a John Updike novel, so it's really a win-win. Bailey's Bibliomania is located off the main street of businesses in town. Parking is easy to find right out front of the store. The owner was very nice and just as you'd expect from these kind of small bookstores, it's a place where you can talk about books with the owner because he actually reads the material. In my brief chat with him, I learned that Bailey's Bibliomania was named after his beagle that sadly passed away. Yet, you see the image of a beagle in the store's logo throughout the place. I just love that this kind of bookstore makes for such a needed presence today, in a world of screens. Kittitas is lucky to have this here; support this business!

What self-respecting future Wildcat would not want to have the proper CWU clothing and accessories? What continues to impress me every time is the amazing employees of the shop. I don't think I ever saw the same person twice in my visits. Every time was the same, friendly, professional, helpful and attentive without being annoying. Somethings about sending my only kid 250 miles away to study are worrying. One thing I know, he will never have a problem finding what he needs at the Wildcat Shop.

The new textbook system has greatly improved speed and accuracy for students during busy seasons. I highly recommend utilizing online ordering during busy times like textbook season so that you can skip the long line and pick up your textbooks quickly and easily. Any time I've had any issues at the store, the online ordering department has offered me exceptional service. They are always kind and very helpful! We went there. They only have one sales woman on Sundays (or that was the case this time anyway (7-19-20), so it took quite a while to check out and was a little awkward standing in that quiet of an environment with strangers for that long. Maybe play a little soft music or something? It will help you feel less nervous too, nice sales woman/owner(?) Now for the good things though- they had actually quality things, not just cheap, dime-a-dozen, cliche things, but actual DECENT things to look at, many were of high quality artmanship. So yes, very impressed with the variety of Mac-A-Bee's. It was refreshing. You also carried cheaper, decently priced things for people just looking for souvenirs which I did appreciate, so thank you.
