It was busy inside so not sure if they locked up early to tend to remaining patrons or if they were having a private event. We came back the next day & gave it another go. We loved the setting and the location. They also have Foxy Sushi inside, (potentially) a nice change from pizza but we didn't try it. We ordered 2 brews & paid cash. Both were good. There was one occupied table & we were at the bar top. The barkeep told us about the tours which seem well worth coming in for & about the owners & brewers. Our beers were both good & we didn't try the spirits. Parking could be difficult but we timed it well! read more

They have a great selection of beers and spirits that are made here. We have a number of breweries here in Omaha, but I think that this place has much better ambiance than others. Service was great. There is a big room that can be rented, it's a beautiful space, somehow spacious while still feeling cozy. The only thing I don't like about this place is that there really isn't any food to eat except pretzels and chips. Though you can order pizza from Zio's and they will bring it over. They said they are going to be adding a sushi menu, which seems kind of odd. But I don't like going out to drink unless I can get something to eat with it as well - and most of the local breweries fall short here. So I definitely will check out the sushi once it is available. read more

If you're not a local you won't get service. Both ladies behind the bar looked directly at me more than once, and never came over. That should have been my sign, but stayed anyway. Place was NOT busy. Finally got up and asked if I was supposed to order at the bar. Was told no, was able to place an order, got my food and never saw another waitress. Drink refills are apparently self serve at the bar? That was a struggle too as I apparently interrupted her singing with her friends. I have friends everywhere and one of those places is currently Omaha. I made a promise to visit and Brickway's location in the Old Market district made it a stop along the way. Despite it being a Saturday afternoon it was surprisingly quiet so we quickly sat at the bar. Maddie was behind and she quickly greeted us with the beer and seasonal cocktail menu. Shay, Maddie and Pilar were behind the bar that weekend and come to find out Maddie is the one that puts together the seasonal cocktails. It was fun to go through how she matched the drinks to the subject. When I went it they had just finished one on Taylor Swift songs and my Swiftie cousins were impressed with the deep cuts mentioned. My first time in Omaha on a work trip. I got in on a Monday night and quickly realized that most of the food and drink options in the downtown area were closed. Brickway was open though and had a fair amount of partons for a Monday. I got a seat at the bar and decided to order a flight to try a few of their beers. They boasted quite the variety of both beer and spirits, and everything I tried was excellent. First time coming to brickway and came for a few drinks and to try out Foxy Sushi. Foxy sushi was wonderful! However, I was disappointed with the service overall. It was hard to get things ordered due to just one waitress. When trying to pay, I got up multiple times to try to figure out where the waitress went off to. Ended up waiting 20+ minutes for the waitress to come back to the bar from wherever they went. Metered street parking is available in the area and can be tight at times. This business offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is lovely in the great weather. Great crisp, Brickway Pilsner is always one of my favorites. If you're not sure which beer to try, flights are available that will give you a sample right across the board. Also available is the Brickway vodka and creative drinks to showcase their brand. Happy hours are available from 4 to 6 PM daily, but check their webpage as this does change periodically. Came here for a corporate event and it was outstanding. I arrived a little early and had the chance to chat with the bartenders and taste a few of their darker beers. The overall ambiance was relaxed and fun, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I ended up purchasing one of their spirits tasting gift boxes for my husband and he absolutely loved the bourbon, I wish I could find it locally or purchase it from the Distillery and have it shipped. What friendly staff! I highly recommend sitting at the bar if it's slow as the staff are very pleasant to talk to. What can I say about the beer? It's great! If they have the espresso Pilsner, be sure to try that! My only complaint would be the bar seats have low backs so you can't really sit back in them. I think this is one of our favorite breweries downtown. They have a lot of beers and alcohol, to choose from, and it's nice that they have a few snacks as well. On our hunt to explore Omaha while a majority of the city was closed due to the snow, we stumbled upon Brickway. I noticed quickly that this city really likes their beer... there are SO many breweries! Brickway is located in a nice spot downtown next to all kinds of neat shops. This brewery offers a small selection of brews, but also cocktails and food items as well. I just tried their hard seltzer, which was fine. They were pretty cheap for how much you got. I loved this brewery and distillery mainly due to all the options. They have an eclectic menu for drinks to please everyone palate. The drinks we got (blood orange mule and peach smash) weren't exactly what we expected, since we didn't really taste the fruit in either, but they were both still good. First time coming in and my first impression was the strong hops smell and too-loud music. Otherwise, the table space and environment are great. My biggest problem with the brewery is that they listed 8 beers on their physical and online menu, but had 12 on their TV menu and 15-20+ on their actual taps. I ordered a flight of 4 and didn't like any of them (just not my type), but would have gotten others if I saw them on my menu! However, I LOVED the maple pecan brown ale! My family and I stopped by here after visiting the museum in the local area, and I wanted to grab a beer. We stopped at this location because they have a couple of passport stamps for the new 2024 Nebraska Brewery & Wine Passport. The girl working behind the bar was very friendly and gave great advice on a couple of the IPA options. Our boys wanted to order a pizza so we ordered a couple beers and snacked. The pepperoni pizza was good and had a thick crust. Overall I really like this brewery. It's a nice place to sit down, relax, and converse with people. I love what they have done with the patio! Added seats and a ledge around the edge which is perfect for people watching and finally added shades! First of all, I have absolutely no idea how I've dropped the ball on reviewing my favorite brewery/distillery in Omaha for so many years. Man...i went there the first time before they even opened for business way back in October 2013. I might even guess that I was one of their very first customers as I won a tour (with t-shirts and swag) for a Facebook contest. Over the years, I've spent so many hours there. Meeting with friends, enjoying their delicious beers, whiskey and mixed drinks. I even attended a beer and yoga event with my daughter there years ago. Now that I don't live in the Old Market, I don't drop by as often as I used to though. But in the interest of supporting my favorite places in Omaha during this crazy time, I decided to pop in yesterday to refill my growler and pick up some of their homemade hand sanitizer. I had two small growlers filled, picked up a six of the cherry limeade hard seltzer, and a canned Moscow Mule. Oh, and two bottles of hand sanitizer. The process was quick and easy and fitting all the personal distance and no contact rules in effect currently. I cannot wait for things to get back to normal so I can spend some time relaxing with a drink at Brickway again. Hopefully this summer! read more

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife. We were in Old Town and I wanted to visit the nearest brewery. That happened to be Brickway Brewing and so we headed on over. This brewery has both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside consisted of a number of tables and then a bar which was full on the day that we were there. You could see some of their brewing equipment through a large window, they had football on the tv and one wall was filled with what looked like copper roofing. Even though I normally get a flight whenever I visit a new brewery, that wasn't in the cards here. It was reasonably priced at $10.50 for a fight of six but I had to drive us back to the airport later that night and opted for a single pint. I ended up choosing the Nitro coffee vanilla stout which was smooth at the start from the nitro and then quickly moved into the vanilla and then coffee flavors. Overall it was a nice brew and I am not sad that I ordered it. For those of you who like a bit of a heavier ABV beer, they had a Epic Blackout Stout that came in at 17.0% ABV. I confirmed with our waitress that the ABV was correct. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Even though I only got to try one beer, I enjoyed it and would be interested in trying their others. read more

Hubby and I were in Omaha checking out some local breweries, and we were excited that this place is a brewery AND distillery. Liquors were delicious - I got a flight of four pours that included gin, bourbon, rye, and a single malt whiskey. My husband got the 17% stout which was dangerously drinkable. :-) He also got a mule with rum, since that was a liquor we didn't get to try in the flight. We also had a ginger beer, which was so bright and fresh tasting, a good palate cleanser and break from the alcohol for a moment. To start, I really like the space here. The tap room is in the Old Market and had a nice vibe. Parking can be a challenge depending on when you go, downtown can get busy, and mostly metered parking, but there is a garage across the street. The beer tap list wasn't overly exciting on my last visit, would like to see them put out some new and more exciting things, more variety. They seem to have limited their food offerings since I last visited as well. If you're a cocktail drinker, they have a fairly extensive menu. If you're looking for a good craft beer, however, I think there are much better places in town to visit. read more

But I have to be honest at the end when paying for dinner, the waitress accidentally had me pay for the wrong meal (my friend's food) which was more then mine. So when I asked her if there is any way that we could cancel the transaction (I was at tip part of the transaction) She told me that there was nothing we could do and then she could possibly get her manager to fix it by refund me my money back. Located in the Old Market district of Omaha, Brickway Brewery and Distillery is handcrafting its own beers and spirits. The beer is brewed right on site, meaning this beer is tasted at its peak quality and flavor. I would highly recommend getting the sampler of 6 beers because it is not too expensive and is the best way to try out all of the different types of beers they offer. We came in a large group and tried most of the beers they offered at the time. I was surprised by just how many of the beers we tasted were of a high alcohol content ~8-11% such as the Barracho Loco, Doppelbock, 10th Sanctum Barleywine, and Raj Gaj Imperial IPA. But, I also appreciated trying some of the more traditional beers such as the Hefeweizen (which may have been my favorite of the bunch). Lastly, there were some fun beers which tasted just as they sounded, such as the Nitro coffee and maple pecan beers. Overall, not the best beer I have ever tried, but it was a blast being able to test out my palate and try some new flavors. Of course, you need something to pair well with the beers you've just tried. I highly recommend the Philly pretzel. Its soft and warm with mustard and pimento cheese dipping sauces on the side. By far, the pimento cheese was perfect with the pretzel, though the mustard was a bit too strong for my taste. To top off your experience, there is a shelf full of board/card games that you can play with a group of friends. With drinks, food, and games, there really isn't anything better! read more

My cousin who works in a brewery was visiting from MN. I took her to Brickway to give her an experience of an Omaha brewery. I was embarrassed when I realized that the staff was more concerned about their staff meeting than their customers. We literally had to beg for service. When the staff member presented the menu she listed a number of beers that were not available and then was snotty when asked a question about the available beers. When I asked about the Wi-Fi password another staff member that was sitting at the bar replied it's on the menu which was difficult to find. I found this very rude.
