Just had a wonderful experience at Liberty Bank…read more I actually started across the street at a bank that starts with B and end with a D...I'm sure you can figure it out. I called Liberty Bank and the phone was actually answered by a live person. And as a bonus it was the Branch Manager! She personally met me by the door and assisted me with my transaction. This is the reason you bank locally. Amazing customer service. Bank here and ask for Erum. I know she will take good care of you.

The bank was founded in 1898 when a group of Bucktown residents pooled their resources to help each other buy homes. Teaming up to improve their lives and their community was the goal, not making a profit. The bank’s mission 125 years later remains the same. Unlike most banks, they have no corporate owners or stockholders. They answer only to their customers. This means they are committed to passing profits along to customers in the form of low fees and competitive rates. And when a customer asks if a product is right for them, helping the customers is the only incentive. In December 2022, the bank was honored to be awarded the 2022 BBB Torch Award for Ethics. In addition, BauerFinancial has awarded Liberty Bank their highest 5-star rating for more than 34 consecutive years. Member FDIC. Equal Housing Lender. NMLS#787575.

ABSOLUTELY STELLAR SERVICE WITH STELLAR RATES!…read more I was embarking on the arduous task that is car hunting. I'm fairly young, and got my first credit card only a few months ago. I did online searching and everyone advised to get your financing through the credit unions. They will almost always be cheaper (And thank God for the internet they were right! The dealership wanted to charged me 15%!! interest on a used car! crazy!) When I arrived at First Financial, I was greeted by Ariana. She explained the basics of how financing with a credit union worked. She was super friendly and knowledgeable. She said I had been approved. I came back when I had finally gotten the bill of sale from the dealership. Ariana wasn't there so I spoke with the other loan officer Nancy. They approved me, and gave me a terrific interest rate. They even insisted on sending the check directly to the dealership. Some problems arose, and Nancy was extremely helpful. In short, the dealership could not find the check and Nancy helped track it down and insured they received. She is also probably the promptest person I have ever encountered, she replied back to every one of my emails in minutes! All in all I'm very pleased with the service at this location, and look forward to continuing to do business with you.

Around 10:30AM on a Saturday, I walked into the office and found a line at least 10 people deep -…read moreand 2 Chase employees standing in the lobby greeting people. Because I just needed quarters, I was able to take the money out via the ATM and one of the employees went to get my quarters. However, while waiting for them, I told the other employee how absurd it is that they have two employees essentially doing nothing in the lobby, while the line was so long. Rather than acknowledge the truth in my statement - or even just tell me that she would take my complaint to management - she began defending Chase and their choice to staff the bank in such a way. Her first claim was that there were no other teller stations available. If that were true, that would have been a valid point. But it wasn't true. There were 3 other teller stations not in use because 2 were blocked by in-office ATMs and the 3rd was blocked by a table holding decor and was clearly placed in front of the teller station to block access to the station itself. To make matters worse, she continued by telling me how lucky I was that they were there to get my quarters for me - to which I said that I would rather wait my turn in a shorter line because the employees were actually working rather than standing around the lobby. When I said this, she became retaliatory and went to tell the other employee to put my quarters back so I could wait in line. Because the other employee had enough sense in her head to ignore her colleague, she gave me my quarters, and I left. But that did not change how I felt about the poor staffing choices - and I definitely felt pissed that the other employee would be so ignorant and demonstrate such poor customer service.

She started with asking me for the student's cell phone number and email address. I stated there was what if there isn't one and I wanted to put mine. She then told me everyone has a cell number now days. I told her what if I don't want to give hers, she replied with then she doesn't need a bank account. I then asked her, so now your going to tell me what my daughter needs and doesn't need?. I must admit it wasn't until I gave her an attitude that she then proceeded to open the account with my phone number and email. Why is her customer service so shitty? There is a way to come about things when you work in customer service. Possibly stating, ok ma'am just know she won't be able to do x,y and z. Can someone retrain her on her customer service skills? She may not just get someone with an attitude next time. Not everyone is as patient as I was. And in reality she makes things harder. Telling me no to the account and then doing it because she saw I wasn't backing off.
