Honestly. I was a little worried because I booked Aaron from 2 hours away with no trial for our engagement session. I made my decisions solely based on his excellent reviews and portfolio. HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Aaron is super professional, whitty, and instantly made me feel comfortable and welcomed in the studio. My daily make up is pretty basic ... just mascara and liner. O.k. Where do I start??? Aaron Ellerbrock was simply fantastic. He made everyone in my daughter's bridal party and both grandmothers of the bride, feel like they were the most beautiful women on the planet! It wasn't just the makeup styling! It was his ability to make everyone feel calm and special and relaxed. Aaron even went above and beyond because when my daughter had her trial makeup done before the wedding, he didn't like the color base he had for her (she was thrilled with the results but he was looking for perfection) so he offered to get another base and give her another trial run at no additional cost. He suggested doing it on a special day and as it turned out, he did it on the morning of her bridal shower. She came in looking fabulous and feeling very special. Now WHO does that!?? Jonye with BRIDEface was amazing! I wear no makeup, unless moisturizer and the occasional application of mascara count, so I was a little nervous about what to do for my wedding day. Jonye was awesome, not only did I have a blast hanging out with her but I was thrilled beyond belief with her work! I may have been more adventurous with my makeup but my fiancé is not a fan of makeup and Jonye did an amazing job balancing it all. After my trial, I went back to work, and everyone in the office showered me with compliments. Jonye asked a lot of questions to understand me, my wedding and all the details that were going into our big day; while I wasn't very helpful with inspiration, she knew exactly what to do. I also had Jonye do my makeup for my engagement pictures which came out fantastic. After the photographer had sent me our pictures, I shared a few with her, and she made some minor adjustments to make it even better on my wedding day. Jonye did such a great job with my makeup and my friends! We felt so glamorous; I can't wait to see my pictures! I booked a "trial" make up application with Aaron at BRIDEface for my wedding make up application. I found the company on The Knot.com and they had good reviews. I contacted them via email and I got a speedy response. Aaron suggested I pick a day for my trial where i needed to be "glammed up" (like engagement photos, bridals, out of town etc.) which I appreciated, as I never would have thought of it! I decided to do my trial the day of my engagment photos. We set the date and I was able to pick if I wanted to go to BRIDEface studio or have them come to me. Based on where my photos would be taken I had him come to me. He was 5 min early - which was great. Came in, set up his stuff and we got started. #1 - HE IS FRIENDLY! I don't care how good you are at what you do. If you make my life miserable while you're doing it- what's the point? And especially on my wedding day??? #2 - HE IS INFORMATIVE! He was interested in giving me information on how to have my make up look good for other events NOT just my wedding. #3 - I looked AMAZING at the end (and I never say that about myself - really :) I think he is reasonably priced. approx. $180 for bridal make up on site (don't have my agreement in front of me and my location is a out of town) and you can add on bridesmaids etc. I would suggest having him do your make up for any event!!! read more
