The wedding was held in the gazebo on the front half of the property and as we are watching the bridal party and groom come up the bridal march starts... The bride doesn't come walking down the aisle though... Oh no, just like in many of our fantasy weddings that we've all pictured in our heads, the beautiful bride is being brought to her fairy tale on a horse drawn carriage. Her veil is flowing behind her in the wind, and she is sitting with her father, who will soon be giving her away. He has his arm wrapped around her, and you can only imagine what they are talking about. The horses hooves clop against the ground in an elegant fashion and after they go around the place, father and bride are dropped off to do the official walk down the aisle. Beautiful. I'm getting teary eyed just rethinking about it and telling all of you! The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was held under tents on the rear part of the property. Very nice place and the staff were all extremely professional. They even give you the option to bring your own alcohol for your wedding instead of purchasing it through the company with an additional cost added on. (Maybe that's standard.. I was impressed with how organized they were. My favorite part, besides the house and grounds, was the HUGE selection of decorations you can choose from that they include in the price of a wedding package. They had so many things to choose from, it boggled my mind. Candelabras, chandeliers, sculptures...you name it. Then after you've decided on decorations, you work with a member of the staff who helps you coordinate the look you want...which is really helpful if you're like me and have ZERO design sense. Everything was just like I dreamed it would be for the wedding. Several guests commented on how great the staff were, and how beautiful everything was. They even provide a horse and carriage for the bride and groom immediately following the ceremony. My only complaint was the DJ. You have to use the one they partner with. You can only conduct business with them over the phone and through e-mail. Still, I didn't worry because the person I communicated with seemed very thorough. She told me I had two options: I could either list every track I wanted played, or I could list only the special songs (like first dance, father/daughter dance, etc.) and the DJ would select the rest for the reception. I wanted to be sure that the people who came to the wedding would know all the music, so I worked for several hours on a music list. I was assured that only the music on the list would be played. But during the reception, NONE of the music other than the special selections were right. I didn't recognize half of what was played. Only four or five people got up to dance all evening. That was really disappointing. If the DJ wasn't going to use the list I created, I wished I had been told that before I spent several hours putting it together. Other people might not have an issue though, if they don't mind leaving the music entirely up to the DJ. Overall I loved this place and the staff at Saratoga Springs. The only drawback is the requirement that you use their DJ and their caterer (the caterer was EXCELLENT, though) so if you want to choose who provides those services on your own, you're a little bit stuck...but the pros definitely outweigh the cons!!

The staff there was incredibly kind and I had a good experience, but it was a more typical, shared bridal boutique setup where other brides and families could see dress reveals and hear each other's conversations. My belongings stayed on the floor of my changing area, and I got myself into each gown before the stylist came back in to get me fully fastened. I thought nothing of it because it was my first time wedding dress shopping and assumed that was just how it worked! Then we walked into Ladies of Lineage and I immediately realized how different the experience could be. The boutique itself makes you WOW at how beautiful it is! It feels elevated and luxurious while still being incredibly warm and welcoming. Elizabeth greeted my mom, sister, and me with champagne, then sat down with us to get to know me, my wedding, what I thought I wanted, and what we were comfortable spending. She gave us a tour of the gorgeous showroom and then pulled dresses for me based on everything we had discussed. We had our own beautiful glass-enclosed bridal suite with a couch for my mom and sister, a huge mirror, a curtained changing area, and even drawers for my clothes, shoes, purse, etc. Elizabeth personally helped me in AND out of every gown while my mom and sister got to relax with their champagne and wait for each exciting reveal. It felt so private and intimate, like those moments belonged to just the three of us. Elizabeth immediately made me feel comfortable and was SO easy to talk to. She was also the BEST hype girl ever!!! By the end I basically wanted her to be my new BFF and literally invited her to my wedding There were so many gorgeous dresses in the price range we discussed, and I really appreciated that Elizabeth respected it. She never pressured us to spend more or pulled dresses I couldn't realistically say yes to. The first dress was more in line with what I thought I wanted, but dress #2 was Elizabeth's wild card...and THAT became my wedding dress!!! I was immediately obsessed. I tried on one more just to be sure, but all I wanted was #2 back on, so I knew there was no reason to keep trying! Once I found THE dress, Elizabeth helped me create the entire look. She somehow pulled my hair into the most perfect bun in about 30 seconds, and I was so impressed I asked if she could do my wedding hair too When I asked about jewelry, she immediately found the perfect necklace and earrings, then helped me find my perfect veil. I bought the whole look!!! When I officially said YES, she celebrated right alongside us, took my "Down with the Gown" pictures, and had me sign the champagne cork. She made an already huge moment feel even more special! The care continued after my appointment too. Elizabeth mailed me the sweetest handwritten note welcoming me to the Ladies of Lineage family, and they later personally invited me to an exclusive event to meet Sassi Holford, the designer of my wedding gown, while she was visiting from London! I unfortunately couldn't attend, but being thought of and invited as one of their Sassi brides meant so much. I walked into Ladies of Lineage hoping to find my wedding dress and left having had the bridal experience I didn't even know existed. She worked patiently with me and allowed me to take as much time as I wanted to take pictures and call people and ask questions. My original wedding date was shifted twice during the pandemic and with all the extra time I started second guessing my dress. On the hunt I went for another one and I ultimately came back to Ever's because of the customer service experience and Hannah. The staff are all so sweet and there's NO PRESSURE. Things were different this time because of COVID so masks are required and instead of sandwiches and treats there was mimosas and water. I had a terrible experience with another local salon and I couldn't even get them to return my calls for over a year to schedule an appointment. When I wrote a review about them they suddenly emailed me back apologizing. Too late. I called Ever's to ask a question about my dress and not only did she promptly return my call but informed me about a trunk show happening this weekend. Today I purchased two additional dresses off the rack and don't regret it not one bit. They're having them cleaned and I'll pick them up next month. Do not work with Kate Clyde's…read more At first it started great, Kate Clyde's was good with communication and worked with us with what we wanted. When I first started calling caterers to get quotes I was very clear I wanted a plated dinner and my venue did not have a full kitchen. Kate Clyde's informed me that they had worked at my venue before and were able to provide a delicious dinner without a full kitchen. We agreed to do a food tasting and were impressed by the food and staff so we paid the deposit that night. Our experience plummeted from there. Kate Clyde's stopped communication after receiving the deposit. I tried to relax but after weeks of unanswered emails I sent an email if I should find another caterer. Misty the event manager told me all her emails were going to my junk email. That was a lie. I am very type A and check my junk email and received none. Anyways, I was reassured it would be fine and then was sent an invoice $14,000 dollars over what we initially agreed. I quickly called Misty to figure out what had happened and without her checking she basically told me that it was correct and I should pay it. I spent my entire afternoon going through the invoice and found that she tried to charge me $850 per napkin instead of .85 cents. You would think they would double check their invoices before they went out. The food was so good at the tasting and at this point it was so late in the game that after I pointed out where she went wrong I paid the updated invoice. Then again months went on with no communication. Fast forward to two weeks before the wedding. As any bride knows that's when most payments are due. I tried to be on top of all payments so I sent in the numbers to food items and emailed a couple of questions. Again, no answer. I emailed a couple of times for no response. Three days before the wedding, I got multiple frantic calls from Misty asking questions that could have been answered months ago. It's as if she knew nothing that we had discussed. I also asked multiple times about the staff that would be present at the wedding and she reassured me two bartenders would be there. The wedding day...what an absolute disaster...I am completely mortified about what went on and what my guests were served. First of all, only one bartender was present the first half of the wedding- even though I was contracted for two. I was also promised two people to set up my tables who were "extremely detailed oriented" not the case at all. The place settings were all over the place and couples weren't even seated together. The food was completely INEDIBLE. My sister had to demand the stopped serving one appetizer before guests got sick!! I could cry even thinking this happened. Multiple guests spit out their food and quoted or smelt "rancid." My son, who eats anything, spit out the mac and cheese bites because they were cold and "gooey". They tried to serve a shrimp appetizer that was fishy and inedible. A bridesmaid spit it out into a Lysol wipe. The dinner was just as bad. The first thing I said to my new husband was "is you food cold?" My beef tenderloin was cold! The brides food was inedible. The salmon was over cooked and dry. Not to mention I was told there would be ten servers for twelve tables. It took over forty minutes for food to get out. I could go on for days. It was awful. Worst experience. Brides beware. One more thing, we later found out that vendors had gone out and gotten their own dinners because they've worked with Kate Clyde's before and knew the food was awful
