Their class schedule ranges from group to private, with an amazingly wide variety of styles available, including: East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Cuban Salsa, Foxtrot, Baby Ballet, and a variety of other ballroom dances. They also host social dances, many of which start with a lesson so you can quickly join in the fun. Many of the classes offer a drop-in or "one-time" fee so you can test drive it before you fully dive in, although many classes are a bit cheaper with the purchase of a series. It really is mostly a location thing and I had to prioritize another (also great) workout studio near my home that I could walk to in a shorter time that it took me to drive or ride my bike to Pulse. But about this place: I love that you can take classes back to back so you can get both strength training and cardio out of the way. And they even have wonderful recovery/muscle-repair type classes as well. Anyway, I miss Pulse! I hope their schedule and my schedule align sooner than later because I would love to go back and dance my butt off!

Aspen, the owner exceeded my expectations. She took care of everything (set up, beautiful decorations, all the entertainment, etc.) and the kids had an amazing time. My daughter wanted a frozen-themed birthday party and it was perfect. Elsa herself was there (all arranged by Aspen!) My daughter also attends Evolutions preschool and we couldn't be happier... I had an appointment near SomaSpace so thought I'd check it out for a morning class. I got there…read moreearly and the door was locked so I was nervous the schedule was wrong, but before long two lovely ladies arrived and confirmed the class would be happening. The instructor, Andrèe, arrived just before 10 to unlock the door. I wish I had half an hour to just hang out in that space! Great wood floors, cozy couches in the back, water and tea.... The class itself was really fun. It was called U-Vigorate and described as a low-impact cardio but felt more like a fun dance class. The music was "eclectic" as one of the regulars, Gloria, said, which was really enjoyable for me. Andrèe seemed to really love teaching, even to a small class, and I had so much fun. After the class was over I wanted to stay and chat with the Wednesday morning ladies but had to get to my pesky appointment. Can't wait to go back!!

Everything from the beautiful wooden floors, mirrors, curtains, awesome sound system, lighting options, (twinkle lights!), as well as other amenities such as props, blankets, pillows, a tea stations, --and I haven't even touched on the energetics of the space. Loving, kind, clear, powerful. I can't say enough positive things-- I would suggest coming and trying one of their many different classes or scheduling a tour if you are interested in space rental. Jacqueline is a wonderful, gracious human, and I have heard wonders about her Feldenkrais instruction as well. I frequent the gym around the corner and had biked past this space for almost three years without going inside. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
