Myself and my hubby visited the night before Halloween . Heard great things and hadn't been in…read moreyears . It was very cozy on the inside and nicely decorated for valentines . I ordered a different wine as they don't sell Chardonnay by the glass .. ok .. but the new wine was extremely nice so I was happy . The starters of garlic mushrooms are to die for , and my hubby really enjoyed his wings. Unfortunately I was really let down by my main course of tagliatelle pasta w mushrooms, garlic , cream , chicken . It was so disappointing.,not creamy , not garlicky , just watery and flavour less . Even with extra Salt and extra parmigiana. The lovely waitress was very good to take it off the bill as I didn't eat it . Would def go again and try Something different

One needs to eat at this restaurant just for the novelty of saying "I've eaten at Butt Mullins"…read more It's old, nice, charming and has good service, good food and it isn't expensive. We ordered from the early bird menu. We started with a melon salad and bruschetta. Very nice. My wife had a steak, I had spinach and ricotta ravioli. Again, it was truly good. We finished it all off with a classic Aussie desert of pavlova. Butt Mullins is filled with history. The whole night was an experience which we both heartily recommend. We ate well in Ireland with only one lousy meal (Fish and chips in Dublin). If you get the opportunity, Butt Mullins is a pretty good place in which to spend an evening.

Eat here reasonably frequently. Lovely atmosphere. Very tight on space but not too squashed. There…read moreare two standard menus and a blackboard of specials. I found the choice last night less interesting than usual. Not a lot of high end fish this time. Great selection on good French wines at reasonable prices. Staff if asked for a recommendation don't push the most expensive ones. I do think the blackboard options are over priced. Meal for two with wine came out a little under €150. The only other negative are the two sittings! Still one of my favourite haunts in Naas.

Attending a work dinner with about 40 others I was initially very taken with the location right beside, as the address suggests, an actual harbour in the town, albeit a tributary off the Royal Canal. But still. A very nice dining room complimented by efficient and friendly staff greeted me. It's billed as a French restaurant but, based on the 'event' menu we used, there was little Francophile about the place. For starter I had a very good hock terrine (hello 1977) having already demolished the excellent and copious bread on the table. Mains choices were seabass, chicken and steak. I chose the steak (medium rare and perfectly cooked) with moreish chips I very reluctantly shared with my less fortunate neighbour. Incidentally, they coped admirably with our large crew which pretty much dominated the restaurant and was probably a bit of a nightmare for the kitchen so well done on the organisation front too. I would definitely return to sample their carte menu as, good as it was, I don't think the special menu did the kitchen justice. Potentially top notch.
