Bait and switch. We were given a quote that was close to other contractors for a roof replacement…read more They came in about $200 dollars less and on the quote it said removal of all shingles, labor and haul away at about $2000. Then on the day they were removing it they found a second layer, which I thought was no big deal considering it was all of the shingles in the original quote. Also I would think a roofing company could tell how many layers were on a roof. Then we were billed an additional $2800 for the second layer. I couldn't get a straight answer of why the first was $2000 and the second was $2800 with an increase of $800 more. The total removal was now $4800. They just said the $2800 was due to removal, labor, and haul away. If they would have been honest in the first place about the quote and the 2 layers we would have gone with one of the other contractors. This is probably why they quoted so low. The crew worked hard and had to deal with spring Montana weather and at one point had to remove snow from the roof. When the job was finished they still needed to finish the clean up. About a week went by and still no clean up. I reached out to them and they had a man sent very quickly to finish the job (various types of nails in the gutters and on the ground, old shingles still in the yard). I am not sure if they would have come on their own without me reaching out first. They did leave some used nails and cutting blades on our mail box which is no where near the job site. I know that seems petty but we have kids in the neighborhood that could of hurt themselves playing with them. They were also a little rough on the gutters as some are now bent in. On a positive they worked with our insurance and did the leg work for us and because of the error on the layers we are now waiting on our insurance to see if they will cover the 2nd layer removal. If they would have been honest up front when dealing with our insurance there may have been different results. When the shingles were ordered they were having a problem getting them, so they upgraded our shingles at no cost, but maybe that was thrown in with the additional cost of the 2nd layer removal. If you decide to use them, I suggest you go over every bit with them and be clear on all of it.

First a huge shoutout to the ladies in the office, they work hard dealing with those insurance…read moreclaims and the adjusters from the insurance companies that could care less. They worked with us every step of the way, we can't be more grateful to them! Our roof took some bad damage from wind and hail, and ACE Roofing did a great job with repairs, they had the old roof torn off and the new one back on in a day!!! The clean up was done when we came home too. It looks beautiful, we will 100% use them again.

They know that we weren't completely thrilled with their work. First, we were told they were local…read more The workers were not even from the company, they were subs from Billings. There was NO supervision by the sales staff, but only by a "manager" who was obviously over-burdened, and so our interactions weren't even with the sales guy, who supposedly owned the company, but was, at best, not the only partner. The brother was in Salt Lake, as were the materials that now cover our roof. They did give us a discount for our satisfaction but we are still left with a less than satisfactory roof covering. It was lucky we had another company do a review of the work, finding unsealed areas and ripples in the covering, plus, no hose clamps on the pipes coming out of the roof. Finally, the guy who had sold us with all sorts of great promises, did manage to go up to see the finished product - once, only after many complaints and obvious dissatisfaction. I still have photos of the work done, again, unsupervised at the moment. Consequently, we still live with a negative memory that was half-heartedly resolved. I thought it would be useful to post photos that are the actual finished roof that I think should have been done better, so that other people can be aware and perhaps demand that the promises be fulfilled. We are told that the roofing materials are guaranteed for life. We know what that means: until whoever is responsible in the future is there to complain to. If they're gone, a "lifetime guarantee" means little. Especially when the work is not top notch to begin with. All that said, I think aware customers who know what to look for and what to demand CAN get a decent roof job. Just be sure that they claim responsible for the edges, which they also denied in our case. "Fascia? Oh, we're not responsible for that..." Perhaps record the initial sales pitch, so it's easier to hold the salesman accountable.

We were given lots of promises from Brady when we decided to go with a metal roof: workers would…read morestay on the job until it was finished, there would be no garbage lying around and a manager would be onsite. He also told us they would deal with the insurance company and promised that they, the insurance co., would cover 50% of the total cost. The workers came and worked two full days and then sporadically for the rest of the week because they were working other jobs. Lunch wrappers and food items were left at the end of the day although everything was cleaned up at the end of the job. The manager showed up occasionally but sat in his truck at the end of the driveway and did paperwork or talked on the phone. The insurance company paid a small portion at the beginning and we have paid two thirds out of pocket. The job was finished at the end of October and we assumed they had contacted the ins. co. who then paid the balance. In February we received an email asking when we were going to pay the balance. This is almost 4 months after the job was finished. I called the office and was told they don't contact the insurance carrier but she would contact Brady and get back to us. Never heard back. I then called the insurance company and they stated that additional info was needed before they paid the balance. I passed this on to the office who told me they would get in touch with the insurance. After two days I emailed the office to see if they had made contact. This was two weeks and two phone calls ago and I've heard nothing. I then sent Brady an email explaining what was going on and have heard nothing. My husband is pleased with the roof but the communication and follow through has been horrible. With a $12,000 bill still outstanding one would think they would be on top of this.
