Decent amount of parking, even with a trailer. Really sweet older lady at the ticket booth, asked…read moreif we were military and gave us the discount. We made it just in time for the 3:30 Bigfoot battle! The kids were able to fill water guns and squirt Bigfoot as he ran around the town. It was a perfect way to cool off during the 90° weather. The town was pretty cool! My son had a blast going from store to store seeing what each room held. We pressed all the buttons and touched all the things! Our favorite part was the dino trail. My husband enjoyed the Civil War statues mixed with the dinosaurs. The kids just loved the dinosaurs and the adventure of it all. The dino maze was cool and my daughter loved the dino dig. The gift shop had some pretty cool shirts and we couldn't leave without getting a stuffed dino and a penny from the machine. A great roadside attraction! Definitely worth stopping and seeing, especially if you have kids/just enjoy weird and entertaining experiences.

Great stop for the granddaughters, age 9 and 8. Great stop for someone with a sense of humor, kids…read morewho love dinosaurs or just needing to give the kids a moment to run. It Was campy and over the top but hey... I think it was meant to be. The rating is strictly for young kids. Adults, don't waste your time. The price was a bit high but the kids got to squirt a "Bigfoot" who was also armed with a squirt gun.

A nice strip mall in the Franklin-Colonial neighborhood of Roanoke. I was here for a shop this is…read moreno longer (and I've reported it to Yelp). The shopping center is clean and in good condition. Parking lot is well paved and marked. Aisles are wide enough and there was no trash. It was easy to navigate and there is a traffic light for entering and exiting from Colonial Avenue. I liked the "Exit" sign which did make it a little easier to determine which was the correct aisle. The center is anchored by a Kroger supermarket. There is a variety of restaurants, fitness center, retail, professional and medical shops. I'm a fan of Towers Mall I have to say. Always have been. It's where the Fresh Market is in…read moreRoanoke and it has tons of cute little shops and random stores with neat wares. My best friend in high school lived nearby for a decade so we spent A LOT of time here - eating, shopping, walking around in Kroger, you name it - teenagers who can't drive or get bored will do whatever. Lately I know there are additions since I moved away a decade ago - like Petco, Wildflour Café, Bubblecake, a BBQ joint, etc. I stopped in yesterday to get cupcakes for my husband at Bubblecake and went inside the mall and downstairs to use the restroom - I was impressed. It has clearly been updated recently and looks pristine and new, the bathrooms were well-kept and clean and the hallway was bright and airy with white paint, new light fixtures, and tons of bright light from outside via large windows. On the way back upstairs I saw the Hippie store and the newer Upcycled Gifts and poked my head inside to look at all the hand-made items by the friendly owner who greeted me warmly as I browsed. It actually made me want to spend a little more time at this mall --- sadly I had a 4 hour drive home - but next time I'm in town I'll stop in to walk around and see the new shops. Tons and tons of parking, central location and easy as pie to find just off the Colonial Ave exit from I-81.
