I called him to see what time he was coming on the day that we agreed and he told me that he was not available, but he would be there the next day. When I told him that I was not available that day, he kept trying to move it to that day. When I tried to get him to choose a day when we were both available, he couldn't give me a date. We both agreed to not continue the transaction. I found someone who arrived on the date that we agreed on, did a great job, and was less than Mr. Bonilla's price.

We were especially grateful for the assistance in considering colors for each room, and the recommendations on where we needed to make some repairs that were not immediately obvious to us, as we had just moved into the house. One seldom spends much time focusing on their ceilings, but when pointed out cracks and other imperfections, it underscores the extreme value in having someone experienced guiding you in this process. To say that the whole team were perfectionists is not an understatement, because the attention to detail, from the planning leading up to the job, to covering and protecting surfaces and furniture, to the execution of the work, all care was taken to produce the amazing results we now have. In addition to the painting of our entire home, X-Clusive remodeled an entertainment room, removing carpeting, installing new flooring, repairing walls and ceiling and making it a wonderful space that before had bordered on a storage room. Aside from expertly laying the tile/grout, he also was able to modify doorways, thresholds and other 'tricky' angles and corners. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and reliable. Pricing was also very reasonable. Mr. Fernando's firm is in the Montgomery County area but he works on projects in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor (and possibly beyond into No. Va.); our home is near Elkridge, Howard county. There was a washer connection that was already there. Roldan came to see the scope of work, we agreed on a price and a few days later, he sent his workers. His workers did not know what they were doing, they made a hole in the drywall to accommodate the washer's two pipes. When I stopped them, and contacted Roldan, he refused to come and see the shoddy work, stating he was out of town. His workers kept running the garbage disposal without first letting the water run. They placed three outlets with neutral wires attached to the positive wire, resulting in 240 voltage. Luckily, a family member noticed the high voltage and an electrician was called to rectify this fatal error. If I could give him zero stars, I would.

I called to set up the estimate on a Thursday and got a call back on a Saturday evening. Gus Camacho asked some details about my project and seemed very enthusiastic. He assured me I would be very happy with his work. We set up a meeting for a Tuesday at 7:30pm. I said I was home on Thursdays and could see him during the day. He said he preferred evening hours to accommodate working people. Likely more to accommodate himself. Perhaps this is a side business? I agreed to the evening hours. He requested that I e-mail him my address. I was tied up that weekend and didn't e-mail him right away. He texted me the next day to remind me to send him the address. I was impressed by that. Felt like he really wanted my business. I e-mailed him the address and requested that we change the meeting to Thursday at the same time. He e-mailed back that was fine and he would see me Thursday at 7:30. I rushed through my errands to get back to meet him. 7:30 came and went. 7:45 came and went. 8:00 came and went. At that point, I considered him a no-show. At 8:20, Gus called. I sent him to voice mail. He said he was checking to see if we were still meeting as he hadn't gotten confirmation from me. ???? When it comes to a major project like this, I have no tolerance for this kind of thing. If you can't even keep the appointment straight, how will you handle all of the moving parts of a remodel? I forwarded him the e-mail confirmation to remind him that he had confirmed and that I considered him a no-show. It's really a shame. I had a couple of other contractors come out and do an estimate but from the reviews here, I was looking forward to this one the most. Based on my experience, I can't recommend.
